This hotel is lovely. The staff is very helpful yet unobtrusive. Rooms are small but always comfortable and well kept. The bar is terrific and I found internet access very easy. Breakfast is also good. The location is superb. Quiet residential area with many ethnic restaurants and good coffee shops. Very close to the t-bana and within walking distance of major shopping areas if that matters. I've stayed many places in Stockholm, including in Gamla Stan, and I find this much preferable. It's much quieter yet you can be in Gamla Stan or Sodermalm in 10 minutes via the T. A terrific place to stay.

Experienced the great staff service and excellent location of the hotel for 4 nights as a tourist. The hotel has an impressive interior with Africa themed decoration in the lobby and bar areas. The room looked quite modern (despite minor repair point). The whole feeling of the stay was being in the very welcome, modern and quality family-like environment with great attitude to the guests (including the business ones apparently). Thank you! I do recommend the hotel and Stockholm city!

“Excellent hotel!”

Hellsten is great for anyone who likes to be just outside the main city, but close enough to walk. The tunnelbana is also just around the corner from the hotel & you can buy a pass for several days at a good cost. The hotel serves a great breakfast with cereals, breads, meat, eggs, cheese, fruit, coffee, tea, juice and more. The rooms are newly renovated, have comfortable furniture, lots of natural light, big bathrooms and all of the toiletries you could need. Reception staff were friendly and helpful at all times. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to all travellers.

“A delightful hotel in stylish Stockholm”

This hotel is a gem. The kind you want to hang on to as your own special secret and only share with your nearest and dearest. Beautifully decorated, clean, comfortable rooms, and lovely breakfasts. Staff are friendly and knowlegable and happy to point you in the direction of the best places to visit and mark them on your map. A good location, 10 minute walk into the centre of the city and Metro station close by. Try Monarki restaurant, Asian influenced Swedish food, just around the corner for dinner and then head back to the hotel's Hellsten Earth Bar for a jazz session (Thursday nights).

“Great Stockholm Experience”

Public transportation is easy to use, and everything converges at T-Centralen, but keep in mind that Stockholm is a walking city with great neighborhoods to explore like Gamla Stan and Sodermalm. Don't miss the marketplace at Hotorget, and have a tasty, reasonably priced lunch there.

“Pleasantly surprised”

I was very happy with Hotel Hellsten, it was easy to find (good directions provided) and close to a metro station. Our room was better than expected, given the relatively low rate for the room, and whilst small, it was clean, had a big comfortable bed and the bathroom was newly fitted out. The price included breakfast which was a buffet that was continually topped up right until breakfast finished (11am which is great for a weekend!). Would be happy to recommend this hotel to other travellers.
