Drumcross Farmhouse is a luxurious retreat nestled on a working farm in the heart of the picturesque countryside. Located just 20 minutes from Glasgow and the enchanting banks of Loch Lomond, this spacious property has been thoughtfully refurbished to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for families and friends to unwind together. The farmhouse features 4 generously sized bedrooms, 2 elegant sitting rooms, and an expansive dining kitchen, all surrounded by stunning outdoor space where guests can observe the sheep and cattle grazing in the nearby fields.

The interior of Drumcross Farmhouse is beautifully designed to balance comfort and style. On the ground floor, guests will find a charming king-sized bedroom, a modern bathroom, a large open-plan kitchen that flows into the dining area, two cozy living rooms, and a utility room for convenience. As you ascend to the upper floor, the allure continues with a king-sized master bedroom, complete with an ensuite bathroom. An additional king-sized bedroom and a children's room featuring two single beds share a family bathroom, making it an ideal layout for families. Work remotely? A designated desk area on the landing provides an ideal workspace for those needing to stay connected.

Guest Access:
Guests will have full access to the entire property throughout their stay, including all rooms and amenities. Check-in details, including access instructions and key collection, will be shared in advance via our electronic guidebook link to ensure a smooth arrival.

The property is on a working farm so it is possible to walk through the farm on the tracks but we urge everyone to take care as there is farm machinery and livestock moving around the farm from time to time.

The Neighborhood:
The property is in a rural setting yet only 5 minutes from Bishopton and 20 minutes from Glasgow city centre. Bishopton is a charming village nestled in the Renfrewshire region of Scotland, approximately 15 miles west of Glasgow. Known for its picturesque landscapes and friendly community, Bishopton offers a blend of rural tranquillity and easy access to urban amenities.

The village is characterised by its peaceful residential streets, lined with a mix of traditional stone houses and modern developments. It's a popular choice for families and commuters, thanks to its excellent transport links, including a well-served train station with regular services to Glasgow, and proximity to the M8 motorway, making it convenient for travel to nearby cities and towns.

Bishopton is surrounded by lush greenery, with numerous parks, woodland areas, and walking trails that are perfect for outdoor enthusiasts. The nearby Erskine Bridge offers stunning views over the River Clyde and connects to additional scenic spots. The village also has a rich history, with remnants of its industrial past still visible, particularly in the form of the old Royal Ordnance Factory, now redeveloped into the Dargavel Village.

The 5 star Marr Hall hotel and spa is located just 5 minutes from the house. Guests can arrange access for spa treatments and rounds of golf.

The property is well placed for guests wanting to visit Loch Lomond. It takes approximately 20 minutes by car from the house to Balloch at the head of the loch.

Getting Around:
Due to the rural setting, guests would benefit from having a car during their stay. The property is located only 15 minutes from Glasgow international Airport and 20 minutes from Glasgow city centre. The house is also perfectly positioned for guests wanting to explore Loch Lomond and the surrounding area. Balloch, which is at the head of the loch can be reached in 20 minutes by car. If guests do not have access to a car we are able to arrange a driver service for an additional cost.

Other Things to Note:
We can arrange rental of a high chair and travel cot upon request during your stay.

Please note, check-in is not available on 25th December and 1st January.

For insurance reasons, the lead guest must be over 25 years old, and ID verification is required for all bookings.

Relaxing!

Great location! You do need a car but it is very easy to get the train to Glascow. Plenty of parking at Johnstone train stop ( check the spelling on that :) ). Spacious for 3 couples and a well equiped kitchen!
