Check in is 4pm but there is no facility to store luggage if you arrive on an early flight so have to hang around resort with luggage which is not ideal . Having checked in was told no hot water as a new boiler was needed and if required a shower to use spa facility. Arrived at the apartment and noticed the apartment had been made ready the day before we arrived on the 19th. Doesn’t make sense why we couldn’t have checked in earlier.
Had to stay in the day after so new boiler could be fitted as there is no safe in the apartment to lock valuables away. Eventually got hot water around 7pm that evening, so a good day and a half wasted. I would say no understanding from owners and not offered any compensation.
The apartment is nothing special just a basic rental and furniture not comfortable, would struggle seating 4 people in the lounge .
The mattress in the main bedroom is so hard and uncomfortable difficulty sleeping.
A waste bin with a lid is needed in the kitchen instead of a bucket with a bin liner quite unhygienic as there is a problem with ants in kitchen and bathroom.
As there is only 2 sun lounges on the terrace , 4 people would also struggle and plastic chairs with no seat pads which was uncomfortable.
Terrace had to be swept every morning as it was covered with dead ants.
Have been visiting Boavista since2004 and was an owner for 10 years, this was not a good experience the apartment not very inviting and a basic rental.
