Hemskt dålig personal
Det står fyrstjärnigt, men det hade knappt varit tvåstjärnigt i Sverige. Standarden i England är ju låg. Rummet var litet, utsikt rakt in i en tegelvägg. Badrummet var ganska fint och nytt så där har jag inget att klaga på. Sängen helt ok men smal för att vara en queensize. Garderoben var trasig, lådorna gick inte att öppna/stänga. Det fanns inget toalettpapper och när vi bad om det tog det 40 minuter innan de kom (vi fick be om det tre gånger) och receptionisterna skyllde ifrån sig och sa att det inte var deras sak. Inte heller några servetter i hållaren och heltäckningsmattan var rätt sunkig. Är ju ett ok hotell och pris för att vara London. Har ju dessvärre bott på mycket sämre. Men inte supersugen på att komma tillbaka så att säga.

Stayed at the hotel for a couple of days with friends. The rooms are very small and it has clearly not been renovated for quite some time. We had a room on third floor without elevator. Worst of all, bed bugs.

Noisy hotel, poor windows and noise insulation.
The overall stay was very uncomfortable. Upon check-in, I was directed to room 408, a room on the top floor. I noticed immediately that there was a constant strong low-pitched buzzing/vibrating noise that even made the window glass rattle and vibrate. I could not make out what was causing this vibration. I asked a hotel staff member to listen to it, but had to spend almost 20 minutes convincing him to get another room. I was then put in a smaller room B08 in the basement, which unlike room 408 had no fridge, no safe and a smaller TV. So it was basically a downgrade. I spent the first night in this room, which by the way was not quiet either. Again, there were constant rumbling noises from the floor above and noises from outside, as the windows in this hotel seem to be in poor condition and are not soundproof. This also applies to the room doors. The building is generally very noisy and not soundproofed. I asked for another room after the first night and was put in room 008. This again had a fridge and safe. Unfortunately, it was not quiet either, for the reasons described above. Directly (1 metre) in front of the dirty desolate window was the opposite, even dirtier wall, as well as a loud ventilation system that started making loud blowing noises in the early hours of the morning. Overall, I felt that my need for rest was not taken seriously. It was not a relaxing stay.

Okay hotel for the price in London. Good room and clean room with a comfortable bed. New bathrooms. I will never understand the full carpet, but that's a UK thing. The only criticism I have, is the room they tried to stick us in. So I had purchased a regularly room and upon arrival I get the message that I have been upgraded, which in itself sounds nice. Problem was that, yes I had been upgraded to a 2sqm bigger room, but I had now also been placed in a dark and depressing basement room with almost no natural light and zero cell service. Went back to the reception and was told they didn't have any of the rooms I booked left and that's why I had been upgraded to a bigger room. Eventually they put me in a room in a different hotel they owned across the street that had a room which wasn't in the basement.

Nyrenoverat och fint men trångt!
Ett fint renoverat hotell men givetvis väldigt trångt överallt, i matsalen vid frukosten, på rummen, i korridorer och i receptionen. Rummet var smutsigt på golvet under sängarna vilket vi informerade personalen om. Men med tanke på hur övriga hotell ofta ser ut så var det här ändå helt ok. Vi vill ge portiern Irfan som hjälpte alla ett stort beröm, han var mycket trevlig och tillmötesgående.

Rummet låg på nedre plan där det lätt från ac och regnet hela natten. Personalen var väldigt korta och ej tillmötesgående. Jag reser 2-3 ggr per år och skulle inte rekommendera detta hotel då man kan få mycket bättre för det priset.

Bra läge till Paddington station när man ankommer med tåg från Heathrow och även till flertalet tunnelbanelinjer! Rummet lite litet men kommer absolut bo där igen nästa gång vi besöker London! Man spenderar trots allt inte så mycket tid på rummet :)
