Great working retreat
We had a very nice time enjoying our working vacation in Salem. The property is gorgeous with lots of walking opportunities, which our dog thoroughly appreciated. The house has various areas to relax in depending on the time of day and we enjoyed the bird and other wildlife watching. As far as location, the property is not too far away from lots of sites but still feels very secluded. The internet works well and there is also good cell reception. The house definitely feels homey and well-loved, in a good way, and we loved seeing the older photos of the home. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Cozy farmhouse!
Out family loved this cozy and welcoming farmhouse- fantastic kitchen for cooking great meals, the family room with fireplace was so inviting and comfortable- this is a fantastic place! Very clean and well kept. Owners were communicative and responsive- only thing to be aware of is this is a family home - while we were there the owners vacated the main house and stayed in the apartment attached to the house for a few nights of our stay. This was not a problem for us but if you want total privacy may want to ask about this. We’d definitely come back here!

Wonderful, relaxing, comfortable home away from home
We celebrated Christmas with family in this beautifully decorated home. Plenty of room, beautiful views, great kitchen. We had a couple of fires in the fireplace. Great wifi for 4 adults with several devices. Thank you so much!

Wonderful place
The house is welcoming and beautiful. Great place to unwind after a long day. Fireplace at night, while watching tv was relaxing. The grounds are kept very well maintained and lots of land to explore and walk around and watch and enjoy nature. Pat and Harry are wonderful hosts and had everything we needed. If you have the opportunity to stay at this house, you must stay here. I can only imagine how nice it would be watching a snow fall, sitting by the fireplace. Hoping that we can make it back next year. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Great Family Getaway
We spent a long weekend here as a way to have a family getaway with our adult children and grand daughter. We all live in different locations so this was the perfect spot to meet for a Fall weekend. The house is perfectly set up and very comfortable. We used it as a base to enjoy some local attractions and took a day trip into Vermont. But mostly we just enjoyed the “homey” feeling which made our time together relaxing and special. The listing is exactly as promised.

Wedding bridal party get ready spot
I do believe they hired a professional photographer to list their property. The setting was my reason for booking it. Peaceful, serene, and relaxing. I did ask for over the top requests for sure. As I brought a refrigerator trailer onto property the first night, and asked if it was ok to work on wedding flowers that first night also. They clearly got very nervous with these requests. I assured them we would clean up and not take advantage. We arrived later than we wanted, 5:30, plugged in, got a tour of the house and made the bridal party bouquets. Went in to relax, and the floor was so dirty that I had to vacuum the entire house before going to bed. Yes it was that dirty. It says a shoe free house, but those floors were nasty. We kept our comings and going’s on under pretty low key. The space the house does offer is a lot of area for many people to get out of each other’s way. The grounds were extremely unkept. The house is very old, but not well loved. The potential for this property really is outstanding. The setting is great, the house needs loads of updating. And the grounds need lots of care. So…. I would not rate this as an outstanding stay. It did cover the base I needed, but I would not stay here again. As I don’t feel that the photos are true.

Peaceful home deep in upstate New York
We had a lovely stay in Pat and Harry's home. It's in a lovely setting deep in the country. We explored Southern Vermont and Saratoga Springs, rode on the bike trail that starts in Rupert, and lit fires beside the pond at night to sit outside, make smores and watch the stars! Thanks for having us!

Beautiful Home and Property
I would highly recommend this vacation home. The layout was perfect for two adults and three kids. The fireplace works really well and made for a very cozy stay. The property is beautiful and very peaceful. Great sledding hill in the back and snow tubing nearby at Willard Mountain. Plenty of pillows and blankets and a well-stocked kitchen. Looking forward to coming again in the summer!

Beautiful break away from COVID
My family and I stayed at this great home over thanksgiving . We loved the house and the property ! The owners were great and responsive . The house was warm and welcoming and very clean . It was a great house for relaxing with family . The property was beautiful and we started each day with a walk I enjoying the beautiful views . We didn’t get too much time to explore the area but would definitely come back in non- covid times so we could benefit from the location . I would highly recommend staying here . The property alone is do picturesque! Thank you to our hosts for making us do very welcome . We feel we made new friends . Great fun times !
