Nice villa but some amenities require improving
The villa is nice, decor very dated inside, the pool is a little tired, nice views over San Remo. The villa was in the middle of a building site however, fortunately it did not impact the view but there were a few noises and smells from the site during our stay. We would have liked to be informed about this prior to booking.
We raised the main issues with the agents Happy. Rentals but they did not respond. These are the issues that we raised:
- The kitchen is not adequate or equipped for cooking for and hosting 9 people. Most of the pots and pans are not working on the induction hob, there are Missing basic amenities such as a kettle, no bin in the kitchen. The oven is in greek so difficult to use, the dishwasher door is broken so it slams shut (dangerous). The fridge does not shut properly which Means we had to throw away food, and items were not very cool which was very frustrating in the heat. This made cooking in the kitchen very difficult.
- In the downstairs bedroom with the twin beds, the furniture was broken and the cupboard doors were broken - we had to fix the entire wardrobe to retrieve our clothes.
- There was no hot water when we arrived.
- There was no note to explain where to take the bins. All the bins in San Remo have a code system so we did not know how to dispose of them, leaving a welcome pack would be helpful for future rentals.
With some better kitchen amenities and better decor, it would be a much nicer experience for holiday rentals.
