Based on my expectations, it’s a 5-star. However it would not be fair to a true 5-star to give this a 5-star. The manager was awesome. Thank you! Coffee was hot and fine. Breakfast was definitely lacking! Beds were comfy. Quiet place. I’d stay again.

Front desk staff very helpful and friendly. Hospitality room a pleasant surprise - a large room open 24/7, large round tables, lounge end with a fireplace at one end, and the breakfast area at the other. Good place for a game of cards in the evening, chatting with other guests. Place could use more staff for deep cleaning and maintenance. Nice and quiet.

The facilities were dirty and the surrounding area messy. At least the rooms were air-conditioned. The breakfast service was minimal, but adequate. Adequate parking for a truck and trailer.

I felt this property was "in transition" has it recently changed hands? it needed some outside work in the back and the breakfast items are put out late the night before as I gather some patrons leave early for work

Not great service, the room was pretty minimal and the opposite of what anyone in North America would call “fancy”. The cleaner didn’t have our room ready so we took another. The ice machine was out of order and the hospitality room had one of those that put out abut a half of a normal ice cube tray every 20 minutes. The breakfast was fine but no spoons? I wanted oatmeal….. for $190 CAD a night, it wasn’t worth it. Waiting for the Chalet to open back up.

Bed was comfortable although I'd say a double not a queen and they have those awful old-fashioned bedspreads. Room was comfortable temp/warm. Shower was good temp, water pressure good. Coffee pot was dirty, towels were stained, room smelled like dirty feet upon first entering. Breakfast in morning offered minimal options and was offered in full sizes for everyone to share, ex., there was yogurt but you had to scoop it out of the container. Same for cereal, etc. Margarine container was disgusting. Whole breakfast layout was just bad. Coffee was ok and I did risk getting a glass of apple juice from the fridge but I do say risk. Pub is walking up the hill for food which is good although we waited for an hour due to lack of staff they said. Smoking outside rooms is tolerated so our neighbours were smoking and it was entering our room. Couldn't open window thru night because of this. Property is run down and neglected. All in all, I'd try to stay somewhere else but there really isn't anywhere else. I'm just glad I got a good night's sleep.

Due to lack of staff I'm assuming, the room was not cleaned properly, dirt on the floors, no hot water in the shower, the jetted tub in our room still had hair in the jets, did not use. Saw that the margarine peanut butter containers had been open all day in the heat. Had friends staying there also their bathroom floor was sticky.

The motel was worn down and in need of a lot of upkeep and maintenance, the room stank of cigarette smoke and it was a no smoking room, the amenities were very poor, the only good part was the large TV to take your mind off the other issues.

This hotel is not worth a penny more than $80 a nite. The walls had dirty hands prints everywhere. No mirrors cleaned, piss all around the toilet, pubes, floors unwashed, I can go on and on. Breakfast was pathetic. No juice, no decaf, or spoons. I saw one staff person our whole stay on May long weekend. Owners need to put in some major TLC. This place has so much potential with the view. Its evident they dont care by doing the absolute bare minimum. We travel to GR every year. This stay at the hotel will be our last.

The rooms in this hotel have not been updated since it opened probably 30 years ago. There was no toiletries at all. Furnishing on the grounds were filthy and upholstery was ripped with the stuffing hanging out. The worst defect was the blinds on the window were broken ( so old) that we couldn’t close them so we had no privacy and got up with the sun at 5:30 AM.

We're sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your stayIn regards to your statement, we offer coffee/tea, breads/bagels and pastries as well as cereal/oatmeal. Being that we are in a remote location our pastries come in fresh and are immediately frozen.Each room is equipped with a thermostat to adjust the temperature to your liking, we do apologize if it was malfunctioning. Staff is in the office until 9pm most nights and we have 2 members on site that are on-call 24/7, their room and phone #s are posted on the office door.

Hotel is currently being renovated so there is equipment and debris everywhere. Kitchenette only had a microwave and tiny fridge, no stove. Hospitality room was great, coffee, muffins and breakfast cereals available.

The room was in need of a renovation. The blinds were missing slats and would not close. The continental breakfast area was dirty. There was an empty beer can between the bed and nightstand. There is likely more but I had to stop looking because there was no other rooms available elsewhere.

Missing so much, toilet paper, cups, no tissue, no hair dryer, room dirty, ice bucket missing, shampoo and body wash containers empty, no sugar or stir sticks. breakfast room had moldy cream cheese. No ice. Will never stay at or recommend this place to anyone ! Plan to write to the motel and also the UChuck III who recommended it.
