Great Stay in Avila Beach
We spent three weeks at this lovely beach house and thoroughly enjoyed it. The large covered upstairs deck with great ocean and sunset views was the highlight. We spent a lot of time there reading and relaxing, especially on rainy days. The upstairs living space is roomy and comfortable, with a well-appointed kitchen. The master bedroom is large, with a very comfy bed, walk-in closet, and large bathroom with nice shower. The house is in an ideal location, in a quiet spot at the end of town yet only a block to the ocean and a few blocks to shops and restaurants. Comments from other reviewers that the combo washer/dryer is not suitable for doing a lot of laundry are accurate. It was not a problem for us; there is a large and nice self-service laundromat (SLO Laundry on Los Osos Valley Rd) where we got a weeks' worth laundry done in two hours. Overall, we highly recommend this rental and look forward to returning.

Beautiful Home with a view.
This home is beautiful with a lovely large deck that has a peekaboo view of Avila Beach and ocean. Short two block walk to restaurants, coffee shop and boutique shops. The home is decorated nicely and was very comfortable to hang out in with our family. We cooked a Thanksgiving meal in the large well equipped kitchen. We loved our stay and hope to be back soon. Thank you!

Birthday getaway
This property is beautiful and so clean. The kitchen is completely stocked and we easily prepared some meals there. The deck has a nice view and the pictures in the ad are accurate. The house in front of this property is under construction but the workers we saw were courteous and extremely quiet! We enjoyed mornings and evenings in the upper deck and again, this neighborhood was very quiet. It was wonderful. The house is at the top of the hill so the walk up is steep but not worrying about parking was great. The leather couches and chairs could stand to be replaced but everything was so clean and fresh. Avila is a quaint little town and we always enjoy visiting. Our contact for the property was very pleasant and prompt and extremely helpful. FIVE GREAT BIG STARS

Funtimes with family of four
Great location and great use of kitchen. We cooked many of our meals there as it was such a big kitchen to cook in. The hosts provided everything from cooking oil to seasonings. The beds were comfy and hearing the waves at night was just fabulous. The only downside was the laundry machine... seems old and rusty but that might be due to the hard-water that is prevalent for the area (we just didn't use the laundry machine as we were there under a week so saved laundry for home)... a water softener might help as we also have hard water and it is a doozie on appliances and hardware. The sofa and chairs might need an update as the leather seemed to be rubbed off or cracked. It is a great location where we could go into San Luis Obispo one day and Hearst Castle another day. We also enjoyed the beach walks and the cute stores around town... easily walked into town to get treats or food from the various restaurants. We love Avila beach and thank our hosts for being so considerate on providing such essentials for cooking as a family❤️❤️❤️

Loved everything about it!
Outstanding location with lovely view of the ocean at Avila Brach. The property was clean and had everything we needed. Quiet location with privacy, but just up the hill from the beach and shops of Avila. We hosted some family gatherings while there, and there was plenty of room for everyone in the common area and deck.

Awesome Spring Break at the beach!
The home is open and inviting with a wonderful deck looking out into Avila Bay. The kitchen was well stocked with the needed utensils,pots & pans and appliances all in good working order. The living room ceiling fan was needed as our cross breeze didn’t show up, and the downstairs bedrooms were cool & comfortable. The Euro style combo washer & dryer is okay but takes a long time to dry clothes sufficiently. The few things we needed (hangers, kids shampoo & nightlights) were easily obtained by a local Dollar store. The house is conveniently located a block from the beach and with a wagon to hold our beach chairs & towels made it easy there & back (but steep climb up the hill upon our return home!). The host was responsive and helpful. We would definitely stay here again!

Another relaxing stay
This is our second stay and it did not disappoint. The house is located in the residential area of Avila, yet walking distance to everything. There is construction work going on at the house in the back during the week, but not too bad as far as noise. Thank you for sharing your home.

Wonderful beach home
Beautiful property and just a short walk to the beach and other Avila highlights ( shops, dining etc) Home was perfect for all our Christmas activities and dinner. All dishware, pots and pans and appliances were there for our use. I really didn’t need to bring any of that with me. Any questions I had were promptly responded too. Can’t wait to come again!

Breathtaking view, sound of waves crashing
This is a great beach property with a view of the horizon and sound of the waves crashing... you can practically feel them. If you're looking for a panoramic ocean view, this is the place. Cozy kitchen and dining room. Comfortable overall. Walk to the beach are an easy downhill, while the walk back up the hill is a little more of a workout, but well worth it.

AMAZING beautiful home!
I recommend this home very much! my husband and I are seasoned travelers and always have high expectations of our accommodations and this home was absolutely perfect! we enjoyed our stay so so much! the host even made a pack and play available to us for our little guy to use. the only thing I would say is DO NOT DO LAUNDRY HERE. the machine is a dual washer-dryer single unit and the clothes never really dries, it was a pain BUT the host did forewarn in the welcome booklet! the entire home is pristine clean linens everything was amazing!!

Great vacation house
Easy walk into town/the beach! We never drove anywhere the whole time. House was set up quite nicely and looked recently renovated. We had to go buy a sponge (for dishes) and shampoo/conditioner/body wash because none was provided but otherwise the house had everything we needed. There is construction going on at the neighbors during the week but that didn’t bother us

Great little Beach House!
This little beach house was just perfect for a weekend getaway. Great view from the deck, everything updated and easy. Beds were extremely comfortable! And the master bath is awesome. The only negative is that there is construction in front of the house and next door to the house. It woke us up the first morning, but then the weekend hit and they didn’t work so it was great.

Girls weekend
This spot was perfect for a weekend with my friends from college who were all turning 40. We enjoyed coffee on the patio in the a.m. enjoying the ocean view, cuddled up in front of the fireplace at night on the leather couches and chairs while we talked the night away. Well stocked kitchen made cooking a breeze. The proximity to the main strip in Avila was perfect as we could walk there in under 5 minutes. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful view of Avila peers. Very clean.
Wonderful view of Avila peers. Very clean and nicely decorated. The very large deck on the back was excellent for afternoon sunsets. Only a couple blocks walk to the beach. The owner was very attentive to my questions and we ended up adding an extra night and Lauren was able to accommodate. Although there was a construction site in front, the noise was very minimal. We had a wonderful stay and we will return to this rental at some point.

Beautiful Property!
My husband and I and our two children (2.5 and 1) stayed here and loved it! The bedrooms were perfect size, and the downstairs bathroom was huge, which made it easy to use with the kids! The upstairs was spacious. The kitchen was large and had everything we needed. We loved the dining room table and comfy living area. The best part was the outdoor space! The balcony was huge! We could sit outside and our kids could easily play with their toys, all while we had an amazing view. We also met amazing neighbors! The only downfall was the construction. We didn't feel super comfortable sitting outside on the balcony while the workers were out back. This is no fault to the house we stayed in, and certainly doesn't take away from the beautiful view, just an unfortunate circumstance. Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous views & perfect location
My whole family loved this place. It’s the perfect location- easy walking distance to the beach but just far enough removed from main downtown Avila area. Views were lovely off the back deck & the sound of the waves at night was amazing. The space is perfect for a family & very comfortable. As others mentioned, it’s a bummer about the construction in the back (which looks like it might be ending soon) but in terms of noise/hassle it wasn’t an issue for us. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for 4 nights before dropping my daughter at college. It's a great value for the area and the house was very clean, updated, and cute. The construction site next door is a bummer, but you can still get a nice view of the ocean. Easy walk into town, but a good uphill coming back.

We love the big balcony deck, the table seating outdoors and the occasional seating it was great for our family of five! Loved hearing the service and being able to see the waves crashing on the sand. Love the few steps to enter the home and the main living area being on that first floor. The stairs going down to the bedrooms were not bad at all. The kitchen was fully stocked and the living room television was great!

Avila at its best
This is a great house in a locals neighborhood with a fantastic view. The owners have just finished a very quality upgrade to the home. Great kitchen that looks into the living room and both have unrestricted views of Avila and all of Port San Luis. The bedrooms are on the lower floor and have an outside patio also with the view. An awesome experience… we will be back!!

Graduation weekend
Lovely beach home in a fabulous location! All had a terrific time. We enjoyed walking to the shops and the beach. Its a hilly neighborhood and provided us exercise and stunning views. There is construction on property next door off the view deck but wasnt noisy or interferring and none on the weekend. Only wish was a more comfortable sofa bed. Aleigh was so easy to work with, a great communicator!

Nice space but a few issues...
We stayed here for a few days back in April. The house itself is very nice and well equipped—clean and spacious, a comfortable living room and deck, and a big open kitchen with new appliances. The deck has a nice view of the ocean and the pier, but unfortunately half the view was obstructed by a house under construction right across the way. I saw in earlier reviews that there was construction nearby, but I was pretty disappointed to walk in and see a work site taking up a good chunk of the ocean view. I realize construction has to happen and it wasn't very noisy (it seemed like they were only working a few hours a day), but not what I wanted for our family beach vacation. The heat does not work well in the basement where the two bedrooms are located, although it heats up the upstairs living room and kitchen efficiently. (We were there in April and it was chilly at night.) This house is very nice, and the property managers were responsive, helpful, and welcoming. I would recommend this property once the construction next door is completed.

Ideal location and gorgeous deck!
This house is in an ideal location, close enough to walk to everything! The deck has amazing views and we even saw dolphins in the bay at dusk. The property manager was extremely responsive when we wanted restaurant recommendations and very helpful anytime we reached out. There is construction going on next door, but they didn’t work over the weekend and finished by 3pm each day so it didn’t impact our stay. Overall we loved this vacation home and already hope to come back!

Wonderful house for Spring Break
My family loved the house and had a great spring break. The house was clean, and felt brand new which is always nice, especially during COVID. The only thing I’d suggest is adding that the walk to the beach is just a block, but a steep block to walk up and down. We have a two year old who made it a little hard but it wasn’t a huge deal. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We’d love to visit again.
