I’ll start off with the positives: the view was amazing, the beach was beautiful while being relatively quiet/not super busy, and the location was good as it was within walking distance to most things.
Now the difficult part… we tried really hard to stay positive but honestly I can’t figure out where the $100 cleaning fee goes… the place was filthy (examples: floor was dirty/full of sand, all furniture and fixtures full of dust, and the A/C units and bathroom vents were so clogged with dirt and mold it made the whole place reek of mildew - you can visibly see the mold too). The mold part could get you in to trouble with health hazards and really shouldn’t be taken lightly.
The pictures don’t quite match the reality either… most things were broken down or needed some serious repair work (examples: numerous burnt out light bulbs and no extras to replace them with, curtain rods barely hanging on, towel holder fell off the wall, missing ceiling tiles in the bathroom, bathroom sink completely clogged and doesn’t drain, shower faucet broken and drips constantly, broken chairs, no beach towels or robes as mentioned in the listing, and the TVs do not have Netflix as mentioned in the listing - we tried during one of the colder/rainy days).
Much of this left us mystified as to what exactly we spent all this money on? We tried to keep in mind that some things happen and are out of peoples control, but this was NOT even remotely what we were expecting from the pictures, listing, and reviews. With that, we tried to spruce the place up a bit by cleaning with the vacuum and broom that were there; however, both were so FULL of clumps of hair that we had to remove and unclog them first - gross.
Suggestions: hire a better cleaning service and consider doing routine spot checks to ensure things are working and clean. Make some much needed repairs or replace broken fixtures. Class it up a little by updating the outdated furniture and random decor to match your listing description. Otherwise left as is, the price of staying here does not add up, and one would be better off at a hotel.
