Wonderful cabin in Otter Rock
just a few things which we thought were important. Would have rated a 10 BUT: (a) light at top of steps to bedrooms was not working. Could be dangerous at nite if you're not careful (b) flashlight on top of frig for emergencies did not work. It should be checked to ensure it does should there be an emergency. (c) toilet paper was sooo substandard. We think newspaper would have been better than that which was supplied. Bought our own Charmin to use. The quality of toilet paper lowered the standards of the place. (d) Finally, Roku is not a necessity. Not being able to watch local tv for news and weather was really ridiculous. With everyone able to stream from their phones why not let people choose what they want to watch and simply offer the basics of local tv to visiting folks. OH - ALSO - property manager's number given on the paper attached to the frig got us nowhere. She (her name was Rose) never answered the phone and voicemail on her phone was not set up. That's not good.

We are hikers and this is a great place to leave your car and wander 1/4 mile to a beautiful ocean overlook or journey down steps to a Sandy beach. I rated it good because the steps made it actually dangerous. I read a 2019 review that said the same, yet nothing has changed. My husband being a contractor could tell you how your stairs and rails don't fit codes. He found immediately a stair stile that was loose and the bent nails used to sort of repair it. Of course late at 🌃 ght on a journey down the steep steps I touched that stile and fell. Lucky I am not hurt. Also mentioned was the landing on the way down with the lighting you can't see. The stick on lights along the steps didn't work or stick so we kept the light on...makes sleeping tough. Finally toilet runs without a patient person to unstick the handle. We did love our stay but those steps will keep us away.

Quaint cottage-like home and loved its' location just down the street from the Devil's Punchbowl scenic view area. I visited that area daily during my stay. I also liked how well stocked the kitchen and bathroom was. Bath towels were very soft too. Could provide a box of kleenex tissue for guests though. Ceilings in the bedrooms were a bit low so getting out of bed I hit my head a few times. That one last step before you get to the bottom should be marked somehow so one doesn't overlook taking that last step and falling. Otherwise I enjoyed the rental and would rent it again.

Great stay at Otter Rock!
We loved staying at Laura Mar! It was cozy and colorful and we loved the location. It was great to take sunset walks on the beach by Devil's Punchbowl and scope out the tide pools.

New Years Stay
Overall cleanliness was excellent, but there were significant amounts of cobwebs around lamps and ductless heating system. The stairs landing (a few steps from the bottom) should be highlighted or painted a different color than the stairs themselves. Even with hall light on after dark it blends in completely with stairs and can cause one to misjudge and step wrongly, missing a step completely. My wife and I did this twice each, having to grab railing to prevent falling to the ground (and we are strong and healthy).

House was as pictured on line, well equipped with bedding, kitchen equipment, BBQ, etc. We did have some small issues which Vacasa responded to quickly. One issue that remains unfixed is the porch light which other reviewers have mentioned. The light does not work and has tape over the socket. This light is a must have a it gets very dark at night so you need to carry a flash light just to find the door or unpack your vehicle. Other than that, we had a great stay.

One of the all time best places i have ever stayed on the oregon coast. Clean, super comfortable and a short walk to the bluff and surfing. Will definitely be back for a longer stay. The best!

We did enjoy our stay. The cabin is nice, clean, and cozy. I do have a couple recommendations or suggestions. Window dressings that cover the whole window (instead of just half) would be preferred in the bedrooms. This would address privacy concerns as well as morning sunlight (for those wishing to sleep in on their vacation). The matress/boxspring on the full bed could be updated - it has a very "springy" feel. Thank you.

This was the perfect place to stay for my little family! I loved the rustic and artistic decor, it feels homey and welcoming as soon as you step through the door! Perfect distance to the beach and it was so nice having a washer and dryer! Would definitely stay here again!

Quiet, clean little house as long as you don't like sleeping comfortably...
My wife and I stayed a week at the little cabin for our anniversary. Our overall impression was fantastic. The living room, kitchen, family room, and bathroom are very nice and clean. The outdoor grill looks like it was brand new. However, when it came time to go upstairs and go to bed, we had issues. The ceilings upstairs are very low for a tall person, but I already knew that from reading previous reviews, so no big deal. The problem we had was the bed in the master bedroom. It's a full sized bed, not even a queen, and the mattress is so worn out the springs felt like they were going to poke right through us. I've seen pictures of third world prison cells and those beds looked more comfortable. My wife and I ended up sleeping on seprate single beds in the guest bedroom. This was pretty miserable! I planned this trip as being a romantic get away for our anniversary, sleeping in separate beds and at times different rooms this was not it! I recommend buying a new bed for this place. If the bed was comfortable, we would definitely come back for another stay. But being the way it's set up now, you'll never see us here again. We paid very good money for this rental and expected better comfort.

Wonderful get away
From the moment we walked in we loved it! It feels much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. 2 cute rooms upstairs with room for 4 to sleep. There's an extra room off the main area with a large couch and TV that is perfect for some privacy or if someone wants to watch tv. I like that it's not the main focus of the house. Kitchen is well stocked with dishes. We really liked the set up and would gladly return!

Adorable cabin at a great price!
The cabin feels much larger than it looked from the pictures. It is simple, uncluttered, and feels like a cabin in the woods with lovely light wood panelling and wood stove, yet near the ocean. Great for dogs because of the tile floor. Having the extra tv room is great, there's room for everyone to do their thing. Bathroom is very clean (one of my biggest pet peeves) and spacious. Mattress and pillows aren't comfortable (mattress has old-school springs and is hard and squeaky and pillows are very flat), but that's not unusual for vacation rentals. I'm putting this rental at the top of my go-to list for affordable beach getaways.

Lovely and quaint cabin, We would definitely stay again!
Our stay at this lovely little cabin was wonderful. Even though we didn't have an ocean view, we were within a short walk to the Devil's Punchbowl park. Also we were just one short drive to close by towns and great restaurants and stores. We would definitely stay again. The one thing that we could recommend would be at least a queen size updated bed in the one upstairs bedroom. All in all we had a wonderful stay!

A cute little charming cabin near the sea
We had a great time. 2 adults and 2 young girls - no problem with space. The place was clean, and cozy. No weird smells or mildew issues here! I liked that the TV room closed off from the other small sitting room area so you could relax while the kids watched TV. The place is in a quiet neighborhood, close to the ocean (no ocean views, but its a nice forested area). You can walk down to a beach access point just a few blocks away. A few notes - if you are big or tall you might not like it, as the upstairs where the bedrooms are have low ceilings and the beds are fairly small. The stairs are really steep too. But otherwise, this is a great place to stay!! I'd highly recommend it.

Great get-away - relaxing and fun!
We had a wonderful week-long stay. The cabin is lovely, and all the amenities we could hope for - great kitchen, comfortable living room, big-screen TV for fun movie-watching on a stormy night, and a great wood stove. The only draw-backs were being on a much busier road than we had expected (many take the road which leads to Devil's Punch Bowl driving WELL over the posted speed limit - I suppose they are in a hurry to catch the perfect waves with their surfboards), the walk to the beach was further than anticipated (only one entry-point to the beach, down a VERY steep hill and many, many, many stairs - take care if you have little ones with you in-tow!) and really uncomfortable beds for sleeping. Otherwise, it was a remarkable stay, with great puzzles, games, and books to read. We especially appreciated the pet-friendly home, and our dog had a blast, too. I will absolutely consider staying here, again!

Very unique and inviting home on the Oregon Coast....beautifully done living area.
The kitchen, living room, bathroom, and media room are top notch for the Oregon Coast! Very well done and beautifully designed. Beautiful art work throughout. The upstairs is adequate, but not quite as nicely done as the main level; nothing that'd hold us back from renting again. What an inviting, cozy, retreat on the coast. Just a few minutes walk to the Devils Punch Bowl and Mo's!!!
