Everything about this property is perfect. Sergio and Maria are such friendly, nice people. The space is clean and well stocked with an awesome patio/deck with gorgeous views. Spent lots of time, breakfast, dinner, happy hour out there. Nice pool. Convenient to everything. Peaceful and quiet, We absolutely loved it here and will be back in August 2024.

amazing, large apartment with everything that you need. great view of the ocean from every window, very large terrace with loungers and table, chairs. very friendly hosts with lots of recommendations about local attractions., parking spot for a car, the host welcomed us with some food in the fridge, a bottle of wine, fresh fruit and even some fresh eggs. highly recommended.

Home away from home
We had a really amazing stay at Villa Maria. Sergio and Maria went above and beyond to provide a very inviting, super clean, and tranquil atmosphere. All of the welcome treats were most appreciated, as was Sergio's kindness and expertise in explaining the area to us. The tide chart was a great help when planning on swimming at Ferraria. The neighborhood was picturesque. I enjoyed having an audience of cows while in the pool and having breakfast on the patio listening to birds and looking out at the ocean. It was perfection! we are already planning our return trip.

Loved every minute!
Amazing vacation! The island is gorgeous and full of surprises. The villa was perfect for us. Having coffee in the mornings and wine in the evenings on the porch or in the garden enjoying the view was my favorite. The hosts went above and beyond to ensure we had everything necessary for a perfect stay. Hope to be back one day!!

We couldn't fault this property at all, the hosts spoke very good English which was a bonus to us. Sergio gave us a map and highlighted all the good places to go, also we went out in his buggy to places we would not of been able to get to. Will never forget the bread delivery hung on the gate every morning. Would highly recommend.

The owner was amazing. The place was clean, fresh and new. The backyard was huge, we where not here long enough to enjoy and we were busy seeing all sights. The house came with all u needed for a weeks stay. Beautiful view and quiet neighbourhood which was great after a full day of hiking. Alittle far from town but worth the peace and quiet.

Form the beginning to the end of our stay was PERFECT!!! Sergio and Maria are exceptional hosts. Our accommodation was very clean and attention to detail goes above and beyond. Fresh bread everyday if you choose and a lovely welcome basket. The view of the ocean from everywhere on the property is AMAZING!!!! Sitting on the hill and enjoying the privacy of the space and the vista was a highlight of our stay. The location of Villa Maria made it easy to visit many of the Island's attractions. My wish would be for more SUNSHINE to enjoy this wonderful Island. Next time, I am sure.

Warmly welcomed in a clean home!
We looked at many hotels and VRBO (and their competitor) listings and happily booked this apartment. We were warmly welcomed with fresh fruits and basic food stuffs to ensure an easy transition. The hosts went out of their way to ensure we felt comfortable, sitting us down with a map of the island and provided us some recommendations after inquiring about our interests. If you are planing on hikes, be sure to check out the guest book where other visitors highlighted their favorites, including duration and difficulty. The apartment is INCREDIBLY clean and has warm touches with fresh flowers and everything you may need (including shampoo, body wash, and laundry detergent). There is a terrace that you can enjoy your meals on with an ocean view. We took advantage of the barbecue on the property as well. The hosts are incredibly helpful and offer ancillary services to ensure you make the most of your vacation. We hope to see you again!!

We had an amazing time at the villa. The owners were super friendly and thoughtful. The house was very clean and equipped with everything we needed. They even offered complimentary fruits, eggs, and a few other food items. The view was stunning. We enjoyed the Seabreeze. We highly recommend!

Great stay at this lovely house
A lovely, clean house with great views and a beautiful garden. We were greeted by the owner who was very helpful and gave us lots of information about the island and advice on the best places to visit. They also gave us local fruits and other food to welcome us. The facilities were really good and we had a really easy and pleasant stay at this house. Thank you!

Excellent Home - Recommend for island of Sao Miguel, Azores!!
Maria and Sergio were amazing hosts - warm welcome when we arrived, Sergio gave us lots of tips and advice of how to explore the island and without his help, we wouldn’t of had half the experience we did - so thank you very much! The house was lovely, very tidy, looked after too with all you need including hairdryer and both swimming towels and shower towels. Great location, not too far from city of Ponta Delgada. Incredible sea view from the house. We had breakfast outside every morning and we were amazed by the view everyday. If we return to this island, we will 100% return back to this property. Great value for money for its features, location and sea view. If you are looking for a place to stay whilst staying on this island, please do stay here!

This is an EXCELLENT property to rent!
We stayed at Sergio and Maria's "Villa Maria 2" from June 23 to June 30, 2018. We have to say that their villa is by far THE CLEANEST, BEST EQUIPPED, rental that we have had in our renting experiences. The view in the morning and evening from the deck is terrific. Atlantic ocean. Great. But, better than the accommodations and views, is the warm welcoming and personal attention of Sergio and Maria. They are REAL people and they are extremely proud of their accomplishments and their island. They made us feel like a member of the community. The island is fantastic! It is a cross between Iceland and St John, USVI. We hope to return and rent from Sergio and Maria. In the mean time, we have terrific photos and warm memories. George & Carol

We enjoyed our stay. Sergio gave us lots of suggestions of where to visit. We had a hard time finding a good restaurant so ate a lot of our meals in the condo. The last day we took out a good pizza from o so la meo in ginete. Also ate at association de agriculture. It was pretty good. It was on the other side of the island. We had a hard time finding anything else. The condo was clean and in good shape. You should bring any shampoo and body wash as there was none there. The roads are narrow and windy so we drove slowly at first but by the end of the trip we were driving almost like the locals. There were lots of great hikes on the island. Lots of great view pints as well.

The owner of the accommodation (Maria & Sergio) gave us a warm welcome and many good ideas for hiking tours to explore the island on its best. The accommodation is clean and equipped with anything you need. At least has a wonderful view. The location is absolute silent. A nice place to calm down

Empfehlenswerte Unterkunft
Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt und die Kommunikation mit Sergio auf englisch war kein Problem. Er hat uns nützliche Informationen und Tipps für Sao Miguel gegeben. Eigener Parkplatz war toll, moderne Einrichtung, gute Betten, große Küche und Bad. Wer wollte konnte sich täglich frische Brötchen über Sergio bestellen, ein netter Service. Mietwagen für den Urlaub wäre notwendig. Einkaufsmöglichkeit und Restaurant war ganz in der Nähe. Garten mit Pool und weiter oben überdachter Grillplatz mit toller Aussicht. Nach Sete Cidades und Airport max. 30 Minuten. Uns hat es hier und insgesamt auf den Azoren super gefallen. Für Naturliebhaber ein MUSS. Wir würden wieder kommen.

Toller Urlaub auf São Miguel
Wir haben eine ganz wunderbare Woche bei Maria& Sérgio verbringen dürfen ! Das Haus ist top gepflegt und hat einen ganz tollen Garten, der am Hang ist und einen wunderschönen Meerblick ermöglicht. Ganz oben befindet sich ein Grill und ein kleiner Pavillon, wo man ganz tolle Abende verbringen kann. Empfangen wurden wir sehr herzlich von Sérgio, er versorgte uns nicht nur mit einem vollen Kühlschrank, sondern auch mit ganz tollen Ausflugstipps für unseren Urlaub. Wir haben die Zeit dort sehr genossen und bedanken uns ganz herzlich für die Gastfreundschaft. Der einzige ”Kritikpunkt“: wenn beide Doppelhaushälften belegt sind, fehlt auf der gemeinsam genutzten Terrasse doch sehr die Privatsphäre, dort wäre es toll, wenn die beiden Hälften mehr Sichtschutz hätten. Ansonsten war alles super ! Wir kommen gerne wieder. Viele liebe Grüße Julia&Martin

Fantastic apartment
Our stay with Sergio and Maria was great. The apartment was very clean and exactly like the pictures. The two were very nice and helpful hosts who gave us tips about the island and surprise the guests with goodies. As a welcome we received eggs, cheese and a bottle of wine. The bread service for breakfast was great. The view from the terrace as well. Our expectations were definitely exceeded. The best apartment on our azores trip :-)

Tolle Vermieter und tolle Ferienwohnung
Die Ferienwohnung ist einfach ein Traum! Es ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Die Vermieter sind super nett. Der Ausblick ist der Wahnsinn. Eine große Terrasse, ein großer Garten mit Pool und Grill laden zum Verweilen und Entspannen ein.

Schöne Villa mit traumhaftem Ausblick
Der Empfang des Vermieters war sehr herzlich. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und gemütlich. Das gesamte Grundstück ist sehr großzügig und der Ausblick fantastisch. Wir haben die zwei Wochen in der Villa Maria sehr genossen und können die Unterkunft nur wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Tolle Unterkunft und herzliche Vermieter
Die Ferienwohnung liegt in einer ruhigen Wohngegend. Sie ist sehr gepflegt, sauber, liebevoll, geschmackvoll und komfortabel eingerichtet. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und umfassend in Wohnung und Benutzung der Aussenanlage eingewiesen. Wir haben hilfreiche Tipps über die Naturschauspiele und Ausflugzielen erhalten, darüber haben wir uns sehr gefreut. Hatten eine wundervolle Zeit in Candelaria. Tolle Unterkunft :)
Wir hatten eine super schöne Woche in der Unterkunft. Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüßt und haben viele interessante Tipps und Infos über die Insel erhalten. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und lag in einer ruhigen Gegend. Von der Terrasse, als auch von Garten hatte man einen super Blick aufs Meer. Wir würden jederzeit wieder dort übernachten. Traumurlaub auf den Azoren
Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und haben jede Menge Tipps zur Erkundung dieser wunderschönen Insel bekommen. Sogar für Essen und Trinken war schon gesorgt. So einen Service haben wir noch nie erlebt. Das Haus ist sehr ordentlich und unglaublich sauber. Den Pool haben wir gerne genutzt und die Grillstelle ist einfach der Wahnsinn. Ein super Ausblick. Man kann von diesem Standort bestens die ganze Insel erkunden, ein kleiner Supermarkt ist im Ort vorhanden. Für unsere Tochter haben Sergio und Maria in kürzester Zeit einen Hochstuhl und ein Babybett organisiert.

Traumhaft erholsam, Haus in herrlicher Lage; wunderbare Vermieter
Sergio und Maria als liebevolle Vermieter empfangen die Mieter schon mit einem Kühlschrank voller Lebensmittel und eine Korb voller köstlichem Obst. Sergio vermittelt sein Insiderwissen, was man sich auf der Insel ansehen soll. Ein Brotservice ist organisiert. Das Haus ist neu und piccobello sauber. Ein Highlight ist die großzügige Terasse mit traumhaftem Blick auf das Meer. Man fühlt sich überhaupt nicht als Tourist sondern als willkommener Gast. Überhaupt sind die Azoraner warmherzige Menschen. Sergio und Maria sind besonders liebenswürdig. Wer Urlaub jenseits des Massentourismus und unter Menschen sucht, besucht Sao Miguel und dieses Haus. Sehr schöne und moderne Unterkunft, mit allem was man braucht.
Villa Maria ist eine sehr gut gelegene und moderne Unterkunft. Die Ausstattung lässt keine Wünsche offen. Von Fernseher über Pool bis Grill ist alles vorhanden. Der Blick vom Balkon auf das Meer sucht seines gleichen. Die Küche ist mit allem.was man benötigt ausgestattet von der Mikrowelle bis zum Besteck alles da und in einem hervorragenden Zustand. Das Bad ist wie das ganze Haus neu und hat eine große Dusche, auch ein Föhn ist vorhanden. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und nett. Sie bieten für ihre Mieter eine kostenlose Buggy-tour über die Insel, diese Tour ist sehr zu empfehlen und macht eine Menge Spaß.

Modern eingerichtetes Ferienhaus
Das Haus ist sehr modern und komfortabel eingerichtet. Der Garten mit kleinem Pool und das Ferienhaus sind in einem hervorragend gepflegten und sauberen Zustand. Die Vermieter Maria und Sergio sind sehr herzliche Menschen, die jederzeit ansprechbar sind und neben der Vermietung auch eine Buggytour über die Insel anbieten. Bei der Ankunft ist der Kühlschrank mit einer Grundausstattung an Essen, Getränken und Obst außergewöhnlich gut gefüllt. Dazu gibt es touristische Informationen aus erster Hand. Wir können dieses Ferienhaus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen.
