Relax in a Private Cabin on waters edge with your own private dock

Our cozy cabin is the perfect lakeside retreat for a relaxing vacation with your family and loved ones. Just 20 feet is beautiful spring fed Big Bass Lake with amazing views, and breathtaking sunsets.

The property accommodates 4 people comfortably as one bedroom features 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed and the second bedroom features 1 full sized bed. We will accept 2 adults and 3 children.

The kitchen is fully stocked with necessary appliances including a stove, fridge and microwave. Other amenities within the property include a TV/ DVD player and hair dryer.

Once you step out of the cabin you can enjoy and take in the stunning views from your own private dock. There is a picnic table, firepit and 5 adirondack chairs out front to enjoy in the evenings and sunset.

There is also a great Bar and Grill walking distance called ‘The Still'

Big Bass Lake offers a wide variety of activities to enjoy, whether you fish and water ski or go kayaking, hunting or just enjoy the amazing wildlife, the lake and surrounding area can more than accommodate any activity. Beautiful woodlands, clean, clear waterways and the peaceful rural lifestyle of Wisconsin's Northwoods all work to create the perfect vacation spot or place to call home.

Within an hour's drive of the lake, visitors can enjoy a number of local attractions to include: the Birchwood Log Museum, displaying a collection of logging memorabilia; the village of Minong with its friendly people, parks, and small town charm; the Museum of Woodcarving at Shell Lake which holds over 400 miniatures and 100 life-size carvings by Joseph T. Barta. In downtown Spooner you will find the Railroad Memories Museum and the Wisconsin Canoe Museum. You can enjoy shopping in the quaint shops of downtown Spooner or take in nice dinner at Round Mans brewery where they brew there own beer.

The property is close to other major cities! It is 350 miles from Chicago, 250 miles Milwaukee, 110 Minneapolis St Paul, 25 miles from Hayward Wisconsin, 10 miles to downtown Spooner.

ROW BOAT WITH MOTER AND PADDLE BOAT.
Motor is not included in the cabin rental. This is a added courtesy from the owners. If any problems with the motor( we will do all possible there is not) there would be no refunds. You would then need to use the oars.

If you do bring your own boat, canoe, or kayak.
You must launch on west side of lake at public launch, and spray with decontamination
spray provided. Please make sure boat is free of zebra mussels

Steps From the Lake
We chose the cabin for it's beautiful lake front property complete with sunsets, loons, panfish fishing and an expanded dock area. The cabin was older but solid, though the water was very hard. Bring your own water for drinking and cooking. My mattress (large bed in double bed room) was fantastic, making for restful sleep. Having access to their small fishing boat with motor, as part of the package, was a big plus. All in all, some very big positives and just a few workable negatives.

Awesome clean lake!
The property was an older cabin. It had most everything that we needed. The beds were very comfortable, the furniture was ok. It was just fine for the two of us. The lake was crystal clear and the fishing was pretty good. I caught 3 bass in the 5lb range, but fishing could be difficult at times. If your looking for panfish, they just school up under the boat. The fishing boat was great. Overall we had a very enjoyable 16 days. The bar on the corner THE STILL was very good!

Wonderful location!
Beautiful location! Eagles and the loon sightings were a regular occurance. The fishing was excellent and the accomodations worked out well for us. The owners are courteous and very responsive. Thanks for letting us rent the Eagles Nest! I would definitely rent again.

Relaxing Getaway!
This is our second year staying at the cabin. Fishing was even better this year! Caught quite a few sizeable bass! We love the quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Nothing better than having your morning coffee (or evening drink) relaxing on the deck. Miss it already!

The cabin is as listed, much thought went into having kitchen utensils, outdoor areas to sit, etc We had 2 grandkids with us who fished everyday from the dock and we’re excited about catching panfish, a nice lake for kids.
