We went here to celebrate our engagement, beautiful views, charming cottage, wonderful food, and a spacious room. We would definitely come back again.

Fine dining, excellent location
I really liked the restaurant at the hotel. It is a bit pricy but definitly worth it to eat there. The hotel is up on the hill with really nice view on Salzburg

A clean, pleasant hotel in a nice location
Clean hotel in a lovely location on the hill. Due to Covid restrictions the spa area with three different saunas had to be booked in advance, but this was well-organised. The only restaurant around is the one in the hotel.

20 minute taxi ride to the city means you are a captive audience where the cost of food and drinks is ridiculously overpriced.

Best views,great location in mountain-just beautiful.Ten minutes to city with rental car. The dinners are 5 star! Room with balcony a plus. Wait staff in restaurant not as responsive as in US. Staff overall great-very helpful-family affair. If in Salzburg and you do not want city hotel you must stay here!

Idillic Setting
Beautiful hotel in gorgeous surroundings. Family run atmosphere. Lovely seating areas and delicious meals. Requested hypoallergenic bedding due to allergies which was not fulfilled which made my sleeping very uncomfortable, apart from that it was excellent.

Beautiful property just outside of Salzburg. I highly recommend it! My only complaint is they have no shuttle and taxi rides cost $20 one way. I think I ended up spending about $60 extra on taxi fares. So if you are renting a car it will make it much better.

Near Salzburg
Prettily situated on a hill outside Salzburg with lovely views. Nice room..but not as comfortable as some we have been to recently. Quite expensive given breakfast wasn’t included. Very good restaurant for evening meal.

The hotel was nice. Situated above Salzburg it provided a nice mountain break. We had one diner and it was good.

Not very welcoming upon check in. No a/c and not able to open the window due to mosquitos. We had a plug-in mosquito repellent right on our nightstand! Amenities were slim .... no washcloths, shampoo & conditioner, bottle of water. No electrical outlet in the bathroom. Shower was very small, especially for my husband. Door lock posed a fire hazard. You had to have the key in the lock while inside the room otherwise you couldn’t lock the door. If my husband left the room he either locked me in or left the key. At one point he left me the key, I locked the door. I was in the shower when he returned and he had to stand in the hallway until I was done because I didn’t hear him knock. But even if I had heard him knock I would have had to jump out of the shower to let him in. We needed an iron so we called down to the desk. No one answered, so we had to walk down only to be told we would have to use their iron in their laundry room. Not sure why we couldn’t get it delivered to our room. We paid for a two night stay, but left after the first night.

A very comfortable stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 nights at the Romantik Hotel Die Gersberg Alm. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and the restaurant was excellent. It was very nice to have quiet evenings in lovely surroundings after busy days as tourists. The breakfast buffet was also very good.

Absolute gem of a place
An amazing stay up in the mountains but still close to Salzburg city. Free parking, fast internet, beautiful views and he room itself was amazing! Heated floor in bathroom, great shower and a bed to die for! Will definitely come again!

Cozy nice and comfortable country hotel.

Nice hotel location.
Loved the location of the hotel. You can see the city below from the mountain and you can look at the Alps mountain range. You can also go on a hike. I wish I had more time. I will definitely visit this location again.

Best hotel in Salzburg . Highly recommended.
Romantik Hotel Gersberg is one of the best hotel we have experienced. Perfect location with beautiful breathtaking views . The staff is extremely warm and friendly . The room with a balcony was very cozy and comfortable . The food served in the restaurant was excellent . Will definitely stay there again . Very satisfying stay .

This hotel is s gem. As soon as you walk in, It has a superb authentic feel about it and you feel that you are in the real Austria. The staff without exception, are superb. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Everything about our stay was wonderful, a shame we could not have stayed longer. we will definitely book here again the next time we visit this Fantastic City.

Lovely old hotel, in the "hills" above Salzburg
Beautiful lodge type hotel, situated straight up from Salzburg (about a 15 minute taxi trip from the bus station). Great views of the city and castle - particularly at night. Our visit was particularly beautiful as it snowed both nights and the whole area was an absolute "winter wonderland". We had one dinner and one breakfast at the hotel, and they were both very good.
