David, Thank you for providing a review of your recent stay with us. We sincerely apologize that there were issues with some of the amenities that you listed in your review, but I hope this response will provide some context as to our efforts to resolve these issues. On the 2nd night of your stay, Siesta Key was hit with a strong Summer thunderstorm. During this storm, a lightning strike hit the pool equipment and completely fried the control board, pool heater, and pool remote. Our Pool Service Manager was dispatched to the home the following day to investigate and found all three items to be damaged and unrepairable. Within the next 24-48 hours our maintenance technicians were able to locate and install a new pool heater, control board, and pool remote. These items have been extremely difficult to find and get into stock due to the lasting effects of Covid-19, but our team worked diligently to get this corrected for you. This lightning strike also tripped a breaker for all the outside lighting. Upon receiving your complaint that the outdoor lighting wasn’t operational; we were able to resolve that issue the very same day. This was a very unusual and unexpected occurrence, but we are glad that no one was hurt and that we were able to turn around these repairs so quickly. During the pool repairs, for safety reasons, gas to the property and outside grill was shut off. After the pool equipment was worked on for 12+ hours, it was our error for forgetting to turn the gas back on prior to departing from the property. When you brought it to our attention that the grill was not working, we immediately dispatched a member of our maintenance team to turn the gas back on for you. This was an oversight on our part given the circumstances, and we apologize for that. Additionally, since receiving your feedback after you had departed regarding the cable box in the master on the 1st floor, we have replaced this cable box and the TV is now fully operational with cable service. Again, we sincerely apologize for the unfortunate and unplanned issues that arose due to the lightning strike that was out of our control. We hope your group made many memories while you were here and that you left feeling relaxed and refreshed. I'm not sure what you mean about the bathroom and people coming in off the street? Do you mind calling or emailing us directly to discuss this? This home does sit on the property grounds of Tropical Breeze Resort, but the home itself and the pool/patio/back yard area is completely private and no one has access to the home but the guests renting it, especially a non-guest. There is an 8 foot tall PVC privacy fence around the outdoor area to ensure that. There is a community pool bath outside of the home, in the breezeway between this home and the resort rooms next door, but this is totally separate from your private space. Our goal is always to improve, so we look forward to some additional feedback on this. Thanks again for staying with us, and we hope to have the opportunity to host you again in the future.
