Marathon stay
We stayed for the Wells marathon and it was an ideal location, within walking distance of the start line. The property was as described and the kids loved being across the road from the beach. We didn’t have much time to explore the surrounding area, but it would make a good base for exploring this part of the Maine coast. The host was also very helpful in responding to all of my questions.

Girls weekend
We loved the apartment. (Just an fyi to owner... a blind in the kitchen was broken. ) The place was clean and homey. We loved the view and the short walk to the beach. Thank you so much for letting us rent it out.

Thanks for the 5 star review! The super close proximity to the beach and the ocean views are definitely a huge plus. (Our cleaners alerted us to the broken blind. They actually went ahead and replaced it for us - We are fortunate to have a great cleaner)

Great location
Very clean, great space. The location is key. The breeze flowing through was one of our favorite things. Was really nice to have the bike and the extra boogie boards in the basement. Would stay again for sure.

We had such a great stay. We had friends in the downstairs and we were upstairs. As advertised close to everything and seconds from the ocean. The wagon needs a little work the tire is coming off from so much use but it was an unexpected happy bonus to have toys and a wagon to use!!

Great Spot
This property is right across from the beach and within walking distance to the arcade, shops, and food. Nice outdoor space with patio furniture and an outdoor shower to wash off all the sand! David is very responsive. I would recommend staying here!

Location is amazing! You cross the road and you are on the beach! The property itself is nice and has everything you’d need and expect in a vacation rental. It was very clean and well presented. My only complaint is the beds are really hard and uncomfortable and it made for a tough nights sleep. Otherwise the place was great and we would definitely come back!

Everything we needed, even in winter.
We had a couple days to kill between a personal and business commitment and thought it would be fun to be on the ocean. We assumed any rental we found would be a little cold and drafty but hardy Mainers that we are, we went ahead. We weren’t expecting gale force winds, snow and sleet but that’s what we got. In spite of all that, this rental was warm and cozy. Also clean and well appointed. We had everything we needed to cook and hunker down. David reached out a couple of times to be sure we were well and that was greatly appreciated. The rental is directly across from a public beach access. Bedrooms grant partial ocean view and the opportunity to fall asleep to the roar of the surf.

Loved our stay in Wells!
David and his wife, Rebecca, went out of their way to make sure we were totally at home. We so enjoyed our time in Wells. Their cute place is perfect - across from the beach, so clean, bed is very comfy, and the space is exactly what we were hoping for. I would definitely come stay again!

Girls Weekend
Amazing time! Awesome location! Was three generations. My mom, me, and my 5 year old daughter. We lucked out with some beautiful weather so we took that quick walk over to the beach a few times. My daughter played in the edge of the water and collected sea shells. We even sat on the back deck and had a glass of wine. The views from the windows were beautiful and you could hear the ocean even with the windows closed. Thank you for opening up your home for us to enjoy. We were talking about making this a yearly trip! Nobody wanted to leave! I practically had to pull me daughter out of there! Our time went too quick! We took lots of pictures and made great memories.

Charming oceanside retreat
I stayed for 4 nights in October in the top floor unit of this gorgeous house in Wells, Maine. It is just steps away from the beach but also close to lots of great restaurants and shops. The unit was clean and tastefully decorated. I will definitely be planning a return visit soon.

Great spot, nice space
Second summer in a row we have rented the unit for a week in August. Nice improvements (new flooring) since last year. You can tell owners want to provide a nice space for the renters. Can't beat the location/proximity to the public way to the beach.

Perfect home base!
A great spot for my first visit to Maine! I loved how light and open it felt. Traveling via plane with a baby and toddler, it was so nice that they had a pack and play for us and all the beach toys! They didn’t have a high chair, which would have been nice, though I don’t expect it. Similarly, it might help some to know that although it’s well stocked with pots, pans, utensils, etc… there are no ingredients at all. Many places at least have oil and a few spices, but they literally only had black pepper, not even salt.

Great location for a quiet beach stay in November
This is a duplex with one property upstairs and one on the ground level. We stayed upstairs, and all was quiet and cozy. The walls are thin, though. So I can imagine in the peak summer times, it might be not be as peaceful. We had a wonderful time walking the beach two or three times a day, enjoying the different views that came with different tides, light. About a 20-min drive to Kennebunkport, an hour to Portland.

Best stay EVER
This apartment was all it said and more from the coziness to the cleanliness to the brightness of all the windows to the amazing views. Location was absolutely perfect! Access to the beach is literally across the street. The host was so great to work with. Very accommodating and always responded very quickly. I feel I can’t say enough how amazing the whole experience was. This will now be my go-to stay whenever I’m lucky enough to be in Wells!

Great Experience
We rented for 1 week Wednesday-Wednesday. This property was perfect for what we needed. A breath away to the beach. A small walk away from some beachy shops. Close to any type of restaurants also a well equipped kitchen for those who choose to prepare meals at home. Would highly recommend and will consider staying again. The only tricky thing was parking our big vehicle it is manageable. Thanks again for this wonderful experience. Sue & Frank Hart

Perfect location
Perfect location and very well-equipped rental. We cooked every day in the nice kitchen. Perfect for our family with a young child. As summers are getting hotter, it would have been nice to have a window A/C unit or two during the week we were there- it was over 90 degrees and didn't cool down much at night. You can't beat the location- walk across the street and you're on the beach!

Perfect weekend away!
Such a comfortable "at home" feel to this property. Beautiful sunny spot to enjoy a cup of coffee before beginning the day. Very close to wonderful restaurants and only a few minutes walk to the beach. We will definitely be returning. Thank you David!!

The apartment was very clean! It is perfectly located near the ocean. We could watch the waves from our bedroom. The walk to the beach was so easy! We would love to stay there again! P.s. That comfy chair is really something! Once you sit in it you don't want to get out!

Great Wells Beach location
An older home across the street from public access to beach, off street parking & within walking distance to shops, restaurants, arcade. Condo has all the comforts of home. Only complaint was broken/dirty bathroom window blinds which the owner said he would have replaced. All in all it was an enjoyable week.

Appreciate the nice review. Our home is located walking distance from Forbes restaurant, arcade , gift shop and candy store. Even better is the straight across the street access to Wells Beach. Yes, we did replace the blind. The blind was new in 2016, but they get dusty quickly this close to the beach.

We had a wonderful stay! The house has all the amenities that you need for a great stay and just across the street from the beach! Upstairs apartment one block from Wells Beach. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable living. We made this reservation very last minute due to schedule changes and David was very helpful and flexible in the situation. Well stocked with beach supplies. Bring your own sheets and Towels
Loved, loved , loved this property!!! It’ is a beautiful home in the perfect location!The only down side was that when we arrived at 3 am we found that there were no sheets or towels available. After inquiry with the owner, who promptly responded to my inquiry, we discovered that this was the norm for a beach rental. We were able to purchase some sheets and towels from the local discount store and after that the rest of the trip was great!! I would highly reccomend staying here if you ever find yourself traveling to the area!

A little bit of heaven
I grew up going to Maine for our annual vacation . The tradition continued when my kids were growing up. We have many Wells beach vacation memories . We’ve moved to the west coast so it has been a few years since we’ve been . Our time at the cottage was wonderful ! It is a great location .. right across from the beach . It is homey, comfortable and has all the essentials you need. It is the great escape ! Looking forward to coming back again !
