Nice modern hotel in a great area of Amsterdam
Fantastic stay at De Hallen, very nice area with plenty of restaurants, great breakfast and a cosy room. A modern design with divided WC - and perhaps the only minus is the bad door to the toilet.

Mysigt hotell i underbart område
Fint hotell som ligger i en mysig del av Amsterdam med massa härliga restauranger och fik i närheten. Jag skulle satsa på att käka frukost på de ställen som finns i närheten och inte på hotellet, frukosten är lite standard och inget speciellt för 15 Euro. Rummen var fina och bekväma och personalen väldigt trevlig. Kan verkligen rekommendera detta hotell!

Modern, nice and clean hotel with a great location
Very clean hotel with good standard and great service. A lot of nice design and art inside. The location is also very good, part of De Hallen with plenty of nice places to eat, drink and explore. Room had a working AC which was nice. Some minor minuses: the pillows were way too big for our taste and we didn't find any smaller. And the cappuccino they made at the bar was the worst I have ever tasted anywhere in the world. Even though the made two attempts after a complaint of mine. But very politely handled by the staff. We had a great time there and would definately not hesitate to choose the same hotel again!

Go for it
Very nice and comfortable hotel in quiet area. Walking distance to city center, approx 2,2 km, through beautiful neighborhoods and across a number of canals.

Coolt och annorlunda hotel med perfekt läge. Boka!
Ett riktigt annorlunda hotel som ligger i en gammal spårvagnshall. Interiören i lobbyn och hallen som löper igenom hela hotellet är fullt med olika konstverk som alla är till salu. Är väldigt svår att beskriva med ord, måste nästan ses, men allt känns så himla häftigt och coolt. Vi kom tidigare än check-in tiden men hade turen att ett av våra rum redan var klart så det var inga problem att få det rummet när vi kom (utan att man tog extra betalt). Fantastiskt smidigt att man också kunde köpa biljetter till lokaltrafiken (vilket rekommendera att ta sig runt i stan med) i receptionen. Personalen (och dom flesta Amsterdammare) pratar väldigt bra engelska så det är lätt att göra sig förstådd och förstå. Rummen har en lite annorlunda placering då dom i våran rad inte har några fönster ut mot någon gatan utan har fönster (en hel vägg) mot korridoren. Men var inte orolig, det är bra gardiner och väldigt bra ljudisolering på fönstren. Väldigt sköna sängar, fantastiskt fräscht badrum med både stor duschkabin och badkar vid sidan om. 2 små minus i badrummet dock, inga handdukshängare samt ingen yta att ställa nessesärerna på. Bra AC i rummen och rena och fräsch.

trevligt lite annorlunda hotell
Vi bodde på hotellet tre nätter. Rummet var rent och fräscht. Tyvärr så fungerade inte ACn två av tre nätter vilket var tråkigt. Rummet hade heller inget fönster utåt utan bara in mot korridoren. Det i sig var inget problem men eftersom ACn inte fungerade så gick det heller inte att vädra. Badrummet var relativt stort med både dusch och badkar. Däremot så var det ingen riktig dörr mellan sovrummet och badrummet utan vippdörrar i mörkt glas vilket inte ger så stor avskildhet. Fungerar ju om man känner varandra väl men inte annars. Hotellet har en bra restaurang med stor uteservering. Det ligger även vägg i vägg med en jätte trevlig restaurang av saluhalls-typ där man kan äta alla typer av mat. Det är nära till spårvagnen som går direkt till centralstationen. Det går att promenera in till centrum men tar 20-30 minuter. Vi hade lite problem att hitta ingången till hotellet då man går in genom restaurangen. Men det löste sig tillslut. Överlag ett trevligt och lite annorlunda hotell.

Fint område, skönt att inte bo i centrum. Fin design på hotellet och trevlig personal. Vi saknade inget på rummet, det var fräscht och fint. Bra, pålitligt wifi också. Det enda som var negativt var att hotellets bokningsavdelning hade bokat frukost på vår bokning, utan att vi visste om det (ett fel som tydligen kan uppstå om man inte bokar direkt med hotellet), vilket ledde till lite diskussioner om betalning vid utcheckning, men annars i stort är vi mycket nöjda med hotellet. Rekommenderar det vidare till vänner som ska till Amsterdam.

Awesome boutique hotel at reasonable price in a happening area. The breakfast was very good. The FoodHall nearby was a very hot spot, and the vegan restaurant connected to Food Hall was also great. Anne&Max breakfast and lunch restaurant around the corner was a classic European eatery. Highly recommend this hotel.

Location is tops
Great location, and friendly quirky hotel. Only negative is beds are a little soft, but the staff did what they could to alleviate the issue. Still 4 stars as hotel beds are rarely to her desired level of firmness.

Amazing hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful. Within a good location. My 1st experience in Amsterdam made more enjoyable thanks to the staff at the DeHallon. Thank you all.
