Ok hotel - great pool and sun beds
Pools and sun bed area by the ocean are amazing. Breakfast is good and the restaurants are decent. The service is not that great but I would not expect much more from a hotel in Sicily. One thing that was a disappointment was the ”boat service” to Brucoli that didn’t go a single day during our stay due to bad weather. However the weather was fine and instead we had to take a taci for 20€. Overall good stay

The hotel has lovely clean rooms, BUT: biggest problem is the lack of service - poor service quality, personnel is not trained, long waiting lines for the cocktail bar, equipements and incredients missing, long waiting times (somedays over an hour for a drink and a sandwich), personel forgets commands very often / there is no pool bar - out of 5 restaurants only the buffet restaurant with a small and very expensive à la carte and a pizzeria open - pizza is delicious but the service is awful, long waiting times and lacking of dishes on the menu over two weeks (f.e. Burrata - the traditional italian mozzarella is missing) - poor service at the à la carte restaurants even if we payed 180 euros for 2 people; people are leaving after 1 hour without even having commanded - breakfast is good quality but the service often did not fill the missing plates and there is no changement of dishes - the pool is lovely and clean and large !! - there is NO acces to the sea, because the hotel did not maintain the acces, its only cliffs and concrete, also waste is laying around - the sun deck is closed - music is playing everywhere and everytime non stop! - beside a nice fitness room an d tennis courts there are no other activities such as pingpong or volleyball (closed) or billiard - contrary to what we were told, we did not see any live music at the bar - room service worked but it was complicated to order and they forget to retacke the plates - massage was pretty good

Unfortunately the staff was very slow and unsafe. The food was way too expensive for the quality. The room was also very dusty and it hadn't been vacuumed once in 7 days. You had to clear the breakfast tables yourself to get a seat. In itself a very nice hotel but the service and cleanliness really need to be improved.

Ok but uneven experience
Great grounds. Lots of recreational options. Recommend booking a room with swim-up pool. Good options for food in the surrounding local area - worth exploring Brucoli and Augusta. Service was uneven - from really good (reception, cleaning) to downright unhelpful (the restaurants).

Our stay
Hotel in the middle of nowhere, you need a car to go and see stuff. Hardly any entertainment. One bar at night , beer sold in small bottles or half pints. Expensive. Swimming pool amazing. Staff lovely . Room clean hit and miss. Nit good food choice on menus and restaurants booked in advance. No snack bars if you get hungry during the day/ night.

We were terribly disappointed with our stay at Mangia’s. This is a three star villaggio turistico trying to be a five star resort. The place and the location on the water is lovely but the staff does not understand service. If you are looking for five star service you will not find it here. The structure is also not designed to be at all hospitable when it rains.

Unser Aufenthalt im Resort stand unter dem Motto mehr Schein als Sein. Leider hat sich seit letzten Jahr einiges zum negativen verändert. Wassersport ist nun kostenpflichtig. Kostenlose Wasserspender stehen nicht mehr zur Verfügung. Eine Flasche Wasser kostet 5 Euro. Animation entfällt und auch die Musik am Pool ist zum einschlafen. Für Familien mit Kindern im Teenager Alter nicht zu empfehlen. Tische am Pool werden nicht gereinigt und auch der restliche Poolbereich wird nicht wie im letzten Jahr gereinigt. Im Zimmer ist auch nicht sauber wie man es sich bei einem 5 Sterne Resort vorstellt. Waage im Badezimmer war voller Staub, auch die Box für die Kosmetiktücher staubig. Zimmer mit Spinnenweben. Entgegen der Beschreibung wird kein Bogenschießen angeboten. Wir waren sehr enttäuscht. 5 Sterne entsprechen nicht mehr der Preis/Leistung, das neue Konzept ist komplett am Kunden vorbei. Positiv Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter und das reichhaltige Frühstücksbuffet. Preis für das Abendessen/Buffet von 30 Euro auf 40 Euro pro Person gestiegen. Bei Buchung mit Frühstück berücksichtigen. Ausflug ins nahegelegene Dorf Brucoli lohnt sich. Wir hoffen, dass das Management aufgrund der Beurteilung auch das Konzept ändert.

Very nice and calm place to stay. But unfortunately due to room service we were extremely disappointed. Even a cold drink get delivered two/three hours later. They don’t leave complementary water, tea bags or cups daily in room( are suppose to except more mild) Italians don’t have milk in tea so they don’t bother to leave any for guest who stay either. There is only shampoo and shower gel(no conditioner, no body lotion, toothpaste/toothbrush). The bed mattress is firm and excellent. It is very peaceful to stay there but unfortunately the room service lets the stay at this property down. When we stayed it was 46c Staff don’t check if guests are ok in this heat. No bathrobes on towels.
