Worst breakfast ever
Hotel it self was nice, location good, and it had parking, the view was also nice. But the breakfast was terrible bad:( But it looked fantastic though. Ordered pancakes and they were icecold, crumbled when I cut them and tasted so so bad. The English traditional breakfast wasn’t good either. Luckily they had bread also so we could get something. And we are used travelers, been around and this is our first really bad experience of a breakfast.

Väl underhållet gammalt charmigt hotell
Bra placering! Rent och fräscht rum med något slitet badrum. Frukostbuffén var enkel men kompletterades med en beställning från menyn (Pannkakor till mig och engelsk frukost till väninnan - båda var nöjda) Mycket trappor till de flesta rummen. Bilderna motsvarade det vi fick. Skulle gärna bo här igen.

Vi hade ett rum med havsutsikt och det är verkligen grejen med hotellet. Det först vi såg var en stor trut som satt utanför vårt fönster och hälsade oss välkomna. Rekommenderar att man väljer ett rum med havsutsikt. Det negativa var att hissen var i ganska dåligt skick men annars var det riktigt bra.

Återkommer inte till detta hotell
Rummen är i betydligt sämre skick än vad bilderna visar. Det rummet vi bodde i kan knappast kallas för dubbelrum, snarare lämpat som enkelrum. Oerhört trångt! Lång väntetid för frukost. Fanns ej tillräckligt med bord. Folk fick skriva upp sig på väntelista. Vi kom dock ner till frukosten lite tidigare och fick bord direkt. Fick sen vänta över en timme för att få den engelska frukosten serverad. Väl på bordet var maten kall/ej tillräckligt tillagad och alltså oätlig. Rekommenderar inte detta hotell!

Really happy with my decision to stay at Kings hotel. Everything was at a walkable distance (walking along the seafront was a great way to start each day), the staff were very friendly, and the included breakfast was great! ❤️

Over all our stay was just ok, one towel for 2 guests? Staff were having a gathering in the restaurant over breakfast being loud and laughing infront of guests which I didn’t like so early. There literally was no consideration at all having to raise our voice to talk to each over our table. Not very professional sadly.

The room was comfortable and clean and the staff were really helpful. It was a shame the windows were fixed and there was no way of turning down the heating. It was also not possible to deviate from the set breakfast menu, which meant if you didn't like baked beans, you couldn't have a hot breakfast!

We just wanted a 3 night break to relax and enjoy the seaside air and the atmosphere and amenities of a nice hotel because our car had broken down in Spain, we travelled 39 hours by public transport with our tiny dog to reach Newhaven. We booked a large sea view room through website Expedia for Kings Hotel Brighton. On Expedia the hotel stated there were restaurants Pebbles & Deli Bar. That sounded heaven to us. Late afternoon my husband queried at reception what time we could book evening dinner. He was informed that the hotel only supplied breakfast with a small snack menu at the bar. The next day we ordered a toasted sandwich that was displayed on the menu in the bar for lunch. We were informed by the bar person that only pizza was available, they also told us that the restaurant, apart from breakfast, had stopped doing meals months ago. The 3rd day I asked to see the duty manager Jamie. The receptionist asked me what it was about. I told her the reasons I had booked the hotel and I was annoyed that the hotel advertised a pebbles restaurant and a deli bar and there was no food. She immediately argued with me that these facilities were not advertised on Expedia, luckily I had taken a snapshot. Jamie, duty manager, arrived. He said we do do meals, we do pizza. He had nothing of value to say re not having toasted sandwiches available in the snack bar. There is no more space to type but this is a B & B establishment that one could probably book for £40 a night and we paid £341

Really noisy, could hear people in other rooms, which kept us awake. Kitchen directly below bedroom, very noisy early in the morning. I did not get much sleep would not stay again. Plus side location great, staff helpful and friendly

Stayed for 1 night for some quality time with my mum, read previous reviews saying the car park was tiny so didn't even look for it and parked in Regency Square next door (24hrs £32.50) rather than pay £30 to potentially have a parking issue. Was welcomed on arrival and check in was easy. Was informed we would be upgraded for free to a room with a sea view! Lovely! We also took our dog (£30) the room was nice, however, there are no windows that are able to open!!! 3 floor to ceiling windows either painted, nailed, screwed or bracketed shut! The heating was on full blast and it got so stuffy so quickly! It was stifling! I can’t imagine being in there on a hot summer night, there's a plug in fan but you will ROAST! Also, waking up to a beautiful sea view was totally obscured by the condensation covering all the windows, it was like a sauna! You have to time book your breakfast, which I have to say was lovely, I had the traditional english and it was lovely. They play music in the lobby until around midnight and you can hear it but managed to finally fall asleep. Staff were nice, our food service was impeccable 👌 would not stay again but this is due to my personal preference of being able to breath fresh air!!! Location is perfect and the views ARE lovely (once the condensation goes!)

Lovely place to stay, water pressure in bathroom was a little low. Could do with more towels and also amenities like toothpaste. Otherwise a lovely hotel for the night
