“A fabulous location, and surprisingly quiet for being in the heart of the old town. Apartment 1 is at the top of the building with 2 steep staircases to navigate. But once up there it is airy and bright with everything you could need. No hanging space for clothes but lots of room to store items flat. Accommodating and quick response to messages with host. “Schön hergerichtete Unterkunft mit herrlicher Dachterrasse (den ganzen Tag Sonne) und tollem Ausblick über Funchal bis hinunter in den Hafen. Ein Mietwagen ist empfehlenswert, da es ein ganzes Stück bergauf geht. Parkmöglichkeiten waren i.d.R. vor der Unterkunft gegeben (öffentlich/kein fester Stellplatz). Aufteilung gut (ein großes und ein kleineres Schlafzimmer). Wohnung ist etwas hellhörig. Die Küche befindet sich im Wintergarten der Terrasse. Gute Aufteilung. Würden wir wieder buchen.”

“We stayed one month and made it our home. We loved the apartment, it has a beautiful and comfortable living space with sea view and a sunny balcony outside. Little flaws with pots and pans, ventilation etc but in general a great place. The area was great, too. Sea pools on the door step, a lovely walk along the shore. Lots of good restaurants. A frequent bus to the city central stops outside the building, and so does the airport shuttle. Very convenient!”
