we stayed in 4 different resorts in 2 weeks and Ibrostar was absolutely the best one. The service was topklasse, pool was perfect, food was excellent, and the rutins were easy. I definitly return and stay in Iberostar

Compared to other Iberostar resorts, this one was a bit outdated. In addition, some of the servers in the main buffet were adverse towards darker people. In addition, they advertised a cigar lounge, but smoking was not allowed anywhere on the resort, to include the beach. The food was very good, and our room was very clean.

Though the property had some signs of aging/wear, the property was still very beautiful. Staff goes above and beyond to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. The grounds were well maintained and its right in the heart of the hotel zone. I would definitely stay here again!

I rate it a 4-star family hotel. Located on a BEAUTIFUL beach. The pool is really big and awesome. The entertainment staff are great. There are a lot of activities to participate in. Gabriel is very kind. My husband played spike ball with Ricardo for multiple days. I did the water aerobics. Loved the Frida show. With the gym staff, I did Zumba and sunrise yoga. Shout out to Daniel the chef. He came up to us multiple times to make sure the food was good. I normally never like all-inclusive food but the buffet and food in general were good! I loved getting burgers at the Mexican restaurant during the day. The tacos for dinner at the Mexican restaurant were delicious. The ribeye was great at the Steakhouse and enjoyed our experience at the Japanese. I didn't enjoy Horma as much. The pool floor needs renovation ASAP!! You can almost cut your feet walking since the bottom is peeling. They gave us a room with double beds instead of the king we asked for. There were a lot of gnats. The only thing I liked about the room was the water pressure in the shower. The biggest con is that the toilet smelled like sewer. It made the whole room smell like sewer and I had to sleep with a shirt on my face to avoid the smell. I almost changed my rating to a 3 because of this. Overall good family hotel for those looking to relax. Need to fix the sewer smell!! For young adults trying to party book the adults only side.

This was definitely the worst food we’ve had at an all inclusive in Cancun. The buffet was terrible and things were constantly empty. They’d use the same tongs to cook chicken then grab a raw piece for someone else and everything was always cold. Restaurant food was barely any better. Rooms were okay and entertainment was good. Other than that was not impressed

Overall, our stay at this hotel was satisfactory. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food options were decent, and there was always something to suit our taste preferences. We particularly enjoyed the Mexican restaurant, followed by the Italian restaurant and the buffet. However, we were disappointed with the American Bistro as the food lacked basic flavors and many of the main courses were fried in a deep fryer. We advise avoiding the lobby counter that sells day trips in Cancun, as they are highly overpriced and disorganized. Despite paying $150 USD per adult for the trip, we encountered numerous additional fees and taxes throughout, with everyone claiming they received no payment and relied solely on tips. Ultimately, the trip ended up costing over $200 per person, which we found excessive. The hotel offers a wide range of activities throughout the day and provides babysitting services for $25 USD plus tips, which we felt was quite expensive. The beaches at the hotel were pristine and offered stunning views during sunrise. If needed, we would consider revisiting this hotel in the future. Overall, it's a decent property with some areas for improvement.

Great service, cleanliness is spot on, rooms are a bit outdated, food is as in most resorts good enough. Great option for families, beach access is wonderful, however we had issues with our key lock for room 143! No matter how many times we got new key cards the reader wasn’t working well and we’d find ourselves standing outside the room inserting continuously until it opened or we’d have to walk back to the lobby and ask for another key, just to run into the same problem. Staff said we couldn’t keep key cards next to electronic devices or credit cards, which at first we thought was the issue, but after running into the same problem with new key card we realized it was the door lock reader.

The staff in the buffet are amazing. They are always hustling and the food was good. They have a huge variety. The pool bars are understaffed and one must wait a long time to get served. However, the staff is also accommodating and will be happy to fill up your own bottle or the hotels smaller cup. Paid cabanas and free seating were available each day - we were there last week in March. Forget about eating at the onsite restaurants- you will never get in. Not sure how people get seated. I honestly think it’s a secret or you have to pay someone. We tried and had no luck so it was always the buffet Glad we liked it. Don’t I repeat don’t eat at the Mexican restaurant down by the water. I can’t give it a lower rating than zero but it’s a minus 10. I repeat the buffet is good. The hotel is run down and old. The rooms are old and show signs of needed repair. The balcony chairs were damaged as well. It was a quiet room however. Overall the guests were respectful and calm. The pools were pretty empty for the most part. Beach is beautiful and clean. I think a lot of people must do excursions during the day. Check in was a mess because we arrived very late after a delayed flight. The door to one of our rooms was very difficult to open as well. The bathroom was super small and left a lot to be desired. I would not return to this property. We were on the Selection side because one of my kids was 16.

This is definitely not worth the money you pay. Food is less than terrible. When you go to a restaurant after 6 you will be lucky to get a table. The gourmet restaurants food came after sitting 40 min and want tasteless and cold. Although the Mexican restaurant was ok you did not have a choice of your order.. People and staff were nice, well, well trained and very personable. Beach was clean and had a lot of space. Just save your towels and put them out by 8am or risk not having a lounge chair.

Excellent staff, the room was very nice, clean and with comfortable beds. The property itself was beautiful and exactly what we were looking for. I found the food quality great and enjoyed all the a la carte options as well as the buffet and food truck.

The service was very slow, with long waits to get drinks at any/every bar. The buffet was good, not great. We ate at Habachi and the Mexican restaurant- they were ok We were there for a wedding The grounds are stunning! The rooms are pretty tired, and wow you hear everything- all night long

DO NOT come, don’t waste your valuable money and time else where. Words cannot describe how disappointed I was with Iberostar selection Cancún of 3 nights of staying. I’ve booked the ocean suite. Suite itself is roomy and spacious balcony was offered for the suite. Soon after check in and got to my room, my excitement drawn to the hole. Here are what are wrong with this resort. 1. Cleanses. I’ve found hairs and dirts on surface of furnitures and side beds. There were sofa pull out bed but decided not to bother use as it was filthy when you open. 2. Bathroom toilet has very low pressure, of course it was clogged each night of stay 3. Bedroom lights where not working- called for fix, no one show up. 4. Noise at night until 10pm. There is live siging performance going on until 10pm right in the middle of the pool area where all ocean front rooms are facing towards to. It’s crazy, noisy you cannot go to sleep. I had such hard time putting kids in sleep every night instead of sounds of ocean breeze and wave I was expected. Cannot believe hotel organize such event at the location of the time. 5. Restraints are booked- you cannot use. There are 5 restaurants, hibachi, steak house, italian - most popular 3, they say first come first serve but no way you will get a seats. Left option will be Mexican and American which foods they serve are below average. We end up use buffet most of the time as that is the only option left. 6. Room service-no drink serve to room

If u go with kids, this place is an Awesome place to stay, they have activities everyday .Staff were very friendly. i like their hospitality. Everything was great EXCEPT it's VERY HARD to have a table in their 4 restaurants besides the buffet although they have 5 restaurants. We stayed there 4 days and we had to have buffet for 3 days in a row because we couldn't get a table even though we got there 5 mins after they opened. And couldn't even make a reservation because they were full for many days. If u don't want to have buffet the entire your stay, make sure to figure this out before booking a trip. They dont have shuttle bus,,, they also don't book taxi for u, so u can try on the app or something . In conclusion, we had a great time! The beach is so clean and clear, i like that they have many pam trees and coconut trees everywhere at the resort. Give u a lot of shade.

Muy poca variedad en el buffet, es lo mismo todos los dias en el desayuno, comida y cena. No pudimos comer en los restaurantes porque todo mundo llega a la hora que abre y se acaban los lugares, deberia ser por reserva adelantada desde que llegas a la estancia. Todo lo demas, excelente.
