Nice and worth the cost!
Very good place to live as tourists. Close to Table mountain. Nice restaurants quite close. Nice hotel with really helpful staff. Good food.

Wifi coverage only at the door. Room safe not functioning. Both problems reported but not fixed during stay. Friendly and service-minded personell. Good NYE party.

Lack of charm and not renovated for long. Poor breakfast with bad service. Good and friendly service in the lobby. Not bad but certainly not good either.

Good, chic and with emphasis on the right things
Just on the border to be big enough, but no real problem. Staff is Also borderline being to friendly and chic... Sounds Wierd but i am not necessarily appreciating a tap on the shoulder and a Long discussion about my day with the Waiter during my Breakfast.

Konferensarrangemang var utmärkt trots att delar av hotellet var under renovering. Rummet var rent och bekvämt och maten god. Enda negativa aspekt var vid frukost ; det var svårt att få plats eftersom de inte hann med avdukning, framställning av rena tallrikar och glas mm. Annars en trevlig upplevelse.

Endast för enstaka nätter
Servicen var bra, likaså renlighet och underhåll. Det negativa är främst 2 saker, hotellet ligger i ett område du inte bör gå ut i ensam efter mörkrets inbrott, dessutom, hygien utrymmena var fördelade på 3 olika ställen, toalett i separat rum men inget tvättställ utan detta fanns utanför, dessutom litet och dusch på ett tredje ställe.

Protea Fire & Ice - mycket fräscht och trevligt
Nybyggt och fräscht hotell i Kapstaden på bra läge. Vi hyrde bil och det var smidigt att komma in och ut ur stan, och det fanns ett parkeringsgarage under hotellet med direkthiss upp till rummen. Väldigt fina rum, fri internetuppkoppling, bra mat och bar. Rekommenderas verkligen. Är övertygad om att det fungerar utmärkt även för barnfamiljer.

My stay is generally okay for anyone who will spend most of their time outdoors.The rooms are small though well designed with a flat screeen tv,fridge and hot kettle.The shower was great! The beds were comfortable but the pillows were terrible.They also do not have iron boxes incase you need one. It’s ideal for adventurous and younger individuals/couples I also didn’t like that they didn’t have curtains so sleeping past 5 am is impossible as the light comes right through! The location is great in a quiet place

While all other aspects of the hotel is perfect sevice, food etc, the actual hotel isnt built propperly for noise cancellation. With a night club just across the road this is obvious.

The property was not understanding about an unintentional double booking that was caught within 24 hours of purchase and several weeks prior to the stay. Even the request to not refund but convert to a credit at the property was denied. I will stay somewhere else

The food was great. There was a variety to choose from at every meal. I didn't know about load shearing Until a cab driver told me. I just thought we were experiencing something temporary. Didn't know all of south Africa was experiencing the same thing.

Solo Traveller - Frequent CT visitor
My seconded stay a Protea F&I but a much lesser experience than first time out. My room was above the nightclub. I'd no fridge on this occasion. The water in Cistern had a constant trickle, albeit maintenance were quick to address once raised, however it reoccurred. The shower temperature control was non existant and risk being scalded. I'm a relatively easy customer and can put up with most if not all of the above, but the biggest frustration was no one answering the phone at reception for 15+ minutes (at 6pm looking for room service), so i eventually got up and left the hotel to spend my money in resturant nearby. I also ordered food late at night (Burger menu only) and asked for small salad in liue of chips only to be told it wasn't possible. I wasn't asking for roast potatoes.... just some salad that was already on the burger anyway. Baffling. As such, I found the reception and restaurant service poor this time out. The bar staff and cleaners were good. I'm good to tip, and the staff that went the ectra mile were tipped accordingly but some were very inflexible and lackadaisical. The location is great but on fence if I'd stsy again.

Solo traveller - 4 nights
Nice hotel,great location. Nice trimmings (biscuits, water, hot choclate etc at reception). Wifi was excellent. Breakfast station needs refinement. The queue for eggs takes far too long and they should just have an egg pot rather than queuing at ommlette station. The staff are way to quick to clear away perfectly good food, even if you've only popped to buffet station (as a solo traveller Id no one to mind my table and left my glasses on it, but they still cleared the lot!). Its just wasteful and lacked common sense. Otherwise, a lovely stay and Ill stay again.

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, eine einladende Bar, gutes Restaurant . Nicht gefallen : am 13.und besonders am 14.1. zu laute Musik, die kaum eine Unterhaltung zuließ. Drei völlig überflüssige Bildschirme , die sinnloses Fussball zeigten!!

Great hotel
I have never net more friendly staff. From Reception, concierge, dining room, bellman etc. All were friendly and helpful. The facility is excellent as well. Tge only draw back us have to take taxi to waterfront where all the activies and resraurants are located.

First morning showers where blocked after that our day two we came back from the hotel at 17:00pm our hotel light was blue showing they must clean our room , we got there the room was not cleaned, we asked about the towels being changed daily they say no u use the same towels until you check out , so disappointed in protea hotel fire and ice
