David,We were very sorry to hear you had issues with your stay. The photos in our portfolio do indeed show vaulted ceilings and low beams in the bedroom. Chalet 2 does have the low angled beams and if you had reached out to us, we could have offered you an alternative room but you did not give us this opportunity.We do hope you enjoyed other aspects of your stay and hope you will give us another try in the future Kindest regards

Dear Jaouida,Thank you for your review. Whist it was great to hear you were pleased with "Everything", we were sorry to hear that you had some issues with the cleanliness which I hope to address. In terms of the sofa cleanliness, I think you are referring to the inside of the sofa bed and we have rectified this and can only apologise if this was not up to scratch on this occassion.. We do indeed do a very deep clean but this was overlooked as we had a temporary cleaner.The oven and dishwasher are cleaned thoroughly each stay and I would have liked the opportunity to inspect this while you were here but (as with other issues) regrettably you did not inform us and give us the opportunity to fix this.There's some factual issues with other parts of your review, firstly, I was sorry to hear about the traffic incident but we do not encourage children to play on the road in and out of the farm. This is a tarmac road and is a 30MPH limit (not 5PMH as you have stated). House Keeping is indeed available and on the Expedia website it states this is an option 20 per day.Whilst encouraging to hear that most of your stay met with your approval, it is always difficult to hear reviews with issues which could have easily been rectified quickly had you given us the opportunity. I saw you each day and we exchanged a friendly hello but you never asked about the housekeeping or mentioned any issues at all. I do hope you come back and stay again soon and give us another chance.Kindest regards,

Thank you for your feedback which is very valuable to us to ensure our guests have a perfect stay. We were very sorry to hear you had problems with your stay but as you didn't make any complaints we were unable to rectify any of the problems for you. Chalet 1 is more designed as a short stay hotel style accommodation and is probably not really best suited for a Christmas longer stay with a large dog and wider kitchen storage requirements. The Kitchenette is provided for your comfort and convenience but is not really designed for anything more than light microwave meals and beverages. We were sorry to hear that you had a noisy guest watching loud TV until 3:30AM which we sincerely apologise for. The walls are certainly not paper thin as you describe but following a previous comment we have looked at this closely. The walls are certainly not completely sound proof and (like other room providers) do ask guests to keep noise to a minimum after 11PM. The broken sign you mentioned is not owned by us and is an old sign to the whole of Northlands Estate - it is not on our property (over 200 yards away) and as it isn't ours, we are not at liberty to fix this. I will have a word with Northlands House (the owners of the "Northlands" sign) and get this sorted as it is confusing. Our sign is "Northlands Farm", a solid engraved slate sign which is clearly in place at both our Salthill Road and Old Broyle Road gate entrances. In terms of the broken hallway light I noticed when I was showing you into the property, we did try and source an electrician and as this was Xmas, we were unable to sort this for you. The switch needed replacing which has now been sorted. A more suitable stay for your requirements would have been our cottage and although we wouldn't have been able to provide this on one day during your stay, if you had mentioned the problems, we could have provided you this for the other days of your stay. It has a full kitchen and two double bedrooms. The chalet you stayed in, Chalet1, is newly renovated with high spec kitchenette, new solid flooring and high spec TV, high spec shower/toilet room and is presented exactly the same as you see in the pictures. This is our premium chalet. We do hope you will visit us again but perhaps the cottage would be more suitable for a longer stay next time.

We haven't had this complaint before in the many years we have been operating but we will do some tests. Thank you for your feedback.
