Cute cottage
Charming cozy cottage. Very clean and had everything we needed for a comfy stay. Close to everything we wanted to do. Between Old Colorado city and manitou springs which were very cute , quaint towns. Only complaint if I had one is it’s on a very busy street and we could hear cars and motorcycles all night. But really didn’t affect us much. Beautiful views of the mountains. Safeway across the street was nice.

Great sisters weekend!
My sister and I spent a weekend here in early November to catch up and spend time together after a long absence. We had a great time! The host was available via text if I needed. The home was absolutely charming, clean, and so cutely decorated! We didn't have a lot of plans other than dining out and shopping, so we hung out at the house a lot and really enjoyed it. It is slightly noisy being so close to a busy street, but bonus is that it's so close to everything we wanted to do, it made it convenient for us and saved a lot of time getting from place to place. The beds are super comfortable, the yard is super cute. Fun to sit on the front porch but again with the traffic - no fault of anyone, just happens to be the location. We would definitely stay here again. Would like to come back when it's a little warmer to spend more time outdoors in the back yard.

This was just perfect!
I traveled to Colorado Springs from Omaha to hike the incline with my sister and friend. This location is perfect, perfect, perfect! It was super easy to get to the Incline, the Cog Train, downtown Manitou, downtown Old Colorado City, and Garden of the Gods. At the house, we enjoyed beautifully decorated rooms, a smaller but perfectly functional bathroom, and having coffee on the front porch with a view of the mountains. The kitchen is tiny, too small to do any large amount of cooking, but it was more than adequate for warming up leftover pizza and making breakfast in the morning. Everything was clean and the beds/linens were very comfortable. There is a large stash of extra blankets if you need them. Overall we had a delightful stay and the property was perfect for our needs.

Beautiful Home
We really enjoyed our stay. The home was located close to all the activities we had planned. Enjoyed eating outside in the back yard and enjoying coffee on the front porch. Saw deer in the backyard, squirrels and beautiful birds. Very relaxing. My daughters loved the movie selections.

Texans Cooling of in Colorado
We wanted to bring our kids to the mountains in Colorado Springs, and The Emerald Nest did not disappoint. Adorable Cottage!
This cottage was close to everything we wanted to do while in Colorado Springs. Even the day we drove to the Royal Gorge an hour away, didn’t seem bad at all! The cottage was clean and cute. We have a 4 & 7 year old who stayed on the trundle bed. I do wish that the TV was a smart TV so they could have watched a movie to unwind before bed. They had to use my laptop on the desk chair instead. Im not sure about the other two bedroom TVs as we never used them. Hot water was great, having a tub for the kids was amazing, kitchen had everything we needed. I appreciated the Brita pitcher! Tons of pillows, blankets, towels and fans was perfection. Little issue with the key pad upon arrival but the owner helped us immediately. It cannot be helped by the owner, but there are a lot of homeless around the area, so original windows (gorgeous character) without locks made me nervous. Along with the front door with a hotel latch instead of a deadbolt. That being said we had no issue or negative interactions with anyone the week we stayed! Just general mom anxiety, so I slept in the room next to the kids. We would come again. Which is the main point! The guest book in the kid room helped us pick places to eat that were great. Starbucks and Rocky Mountain Chocolate nearby hit the spot after hiking all day! Being a few blocks away from Manitou Springs was fun too. The penny arcade was the kids’ favorite so we went twice! Thanks for providing a warm homey vibe for us.

Sweet cottage in great location

Perfect quaint and cozy getaway place in Manitou Springs
Our family (two adults, two kiddos 5&6) took a trip to Manitou Springs over memorial Day weekend. The Emerald Nest was the perfect little cozy getaway that was perfectly located in between all of our activities. We loved the charm of the old house and its character. It was within just a few minutes of most of the things we planned to see in the area (Cave of the Winds, Cliff Dwellings, Garden of the Gods). The kids absolutely loved the trundle bed in the third bedroom. Our only slight hiccup was the door keypad seemed glitchy and wouldn't unlock. Cindy was great though and immediately answered our call and got us in the door. The keypad then started working most of the time. We loved the handwritten card welcoming us to the home and all the fun snacks and things for the kids to do. There were many amenities for a family to do (outdoor games, fire pit, outdoor seating, front patio, Roku with Netflix was a big help with the kids, puzzles, card games, checkers, chess). We will definitely stay again at the Emerald Nest on our next trip to Manitou! Thanks again Cindy!

Great place near Manitou and The Springs
Very clean and comfortable. The furnishings were nice and there was plenty of room for my spouse and I, two teenagers, and a 12-year-old. Very close by car to Manitou Springs. A grocery store, restaurants, and really anything else you might need are all nearby.

Quaint cottage
We had everything that we needed for our stay. House was cozy and perfect for the four of us. Only glitch was the little raccoon who decided to nest under the crawlspace and our hostess tried to remove her with putting mothballs in the crawl space to get rid of them. Just some odor from that, other wise wonderful place to stay! Linda

It was clean , decorated very nicely, the beds were super comfortable, the sheets and bedding smelled so fresh , we had a keurig in the kitchen and basically everything we needed for the four nights we stayed. Perfect place to stay.
It was great. The manager was friendly. It is located right in the center where you can get to just about anything you want to see. Pikes peak Manitou springs garden of the gods all within 15 min. Great little house and would be great for a family. 2 queen beds and 2 singles and a nice couch.

Nice little house, continent location
This house located in west Colorado Springs. 5-10mins to Garden of Gods, Red Rock Canyon, and Pike’s peak entrance. Restaurants close by and grocery store across the street. Property owner was very friendly and helpful. There is a good collection of DVDs that made our stay more enjoyable. I wish the bathroom can be cleaner, we can smell unpleasant sewer smell. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this property.

Perfection!
Perfect location, house and host! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay in Colorado. Especially during this crazy pandemic, we were looking for a getaway that still allowed us to socially distance. This house is minutes away from Garden if the Gods! Charming and great location
We loved the comfort of this home. Furnishings are lovely and homey. Size was just right for family of 6. Beds are comfortable. We were grateful for the AC since it is August. Location made it easy to access local attractions without long drives. And also if you just wanted to explore the mountains. Convenient having gas and grocery across the street. We also enjoyed seeing the deer in the back yard. This was our first time using the VRBO website to rent a vacation rental. It was easy and met expectations.

Cute & convenient cottage
Cute cottage! Very short drives to get everywhere! Layout would be cramped for more than 4 people. Inside cottage was surprisingly quiet, even though on busy road. Would prefer an automatic check-in with keyless entry (or hidden key). Not in a neighborhood but never felt unsafe. Steve & Sherri were so nice & helpful!

Wonderful Rental!
This is a beautiful house! Very nicely decorated and had everything you’d expect and more. The back yard was fantastic for kids! My 8 year old has already asked if we could go back next year! Be aware that there is not a washer and dryer or a dishwasher. No biggie but I missed that detail when I booked it.

Love and Care
This home was restored with love and care. It is beautiful and allowed for tons of sleeping space. All necessary utensils were provided in the kitchen, the gas grill and back yard ( tons of yard games) are a 10+ The location is near everything, Garden of the Gods, Old Colorado, Manitou. Steve the owner is very accommodating, fair and kind.

Great house
The house and property is so cute! It has a great backyard for the kiddos to play in. So close to lots of sites. We were going to walk to old Colorado city the first night but stopped half way because it was too far for the kids. A little bit rougher neighborhood than we were expecting but we would definitely stay again!

Great Property/Great Value!
We were a group of 5 friends (one couple) that took a short trip to Colorado Springs from KC. This property looked too good to be true when I found it online, but was a perfect fit for our needs. We took a chance and, let me say, it more than exceeded our expectations. After some car troubles on the road, our spirits were lifted when we finally arrived and were given a tour by Vicki. The house was beautiful, cozy, and clean. Since we were behind schedule, we dropped our luggage and took the short drive to go visit Pikes Peak. We returned that evening to enjoy steaks and brats on the grill in the beautiful backyard (bring a LED Lantern). We also enjoyed playing the giant Connect 4 and Corn Hole. The beds were very comfortable (even the twins). We didn't know that the third bedroom (twins) was only accessible from the second bedroom; but, that didn't affect us at all. We got up the next morning and took the 5 minute drive to the Garden of the Gods. This is the perfect vacation rental for a friends trip or a family of 5. 10/10 would stay here again. I can't wait to come back!

We highly recommend the Emerald Nest. It is clean, comfortable and homey. The hosts were very friendly, helpful and accommodating. Close to sites, great restaurants and shops. We would definitely pick this house in the future.
