“Keepers cottage was lovely. It is absolutely ideal if you have dogs. There is a large enclosed area where your dogs can run plus there are spacious kennels if you need to go out and leave your dogs. We didnt use this as we took our dogs with us but it was great to have this option. The bedroom, toilet, shower room was downstairs and the living room was up the stairs. There was a lovely balcony leading off from the living room where you could enjoy the views, unfortunately we didnt get much use...

“Lovely cosy little place with a lovely feel and had everything we needed. Bed and sofa were very comfy, bunk beds were a bit tight for an adult and the only bathroom is off of the main bedroom so more suited to a family than three adults. Very easy to find and parking was fine even in our truck (reverse in). It was a good base but walking from there was a bit limited due to having to cross A roads. ”

“Bay Cottage is just right for our stays when down visiting family nearby. Easy access to the beach, canal and town centre. Parking away from the main road, and safe. Sounds of the birds waking you in the morning confirms this oasis of peace, despite the town location. Large grounds giving plenty of space to walk your dogs last thing at night. Owners in easy reach and happy to sort any problems with a smile.”

“We loved our stay in this property, everything you could need to have a comfortable,relaxing stay,on-site is a lovely pool , just enough to have a nice swim and relax,especially after being in the sauna !!! The grounds are lovely and clean, staff are really polite and helpful, there seemed to be things on every night at the bar ,which unfortunately we didn’t use as by time we were out visiting the beautiful area, we were to tired to go over, so we chilled in the bungalow!!! “There was black mould in bedroom 3 and in the bathroom. This meant we had to move the bed as black mould is dangerous. The fridge was off when we arrived and took a long time to chill. There were no teaspoons. No hand towels anywhere and the bed springs had gone in 2 beds. The sheets were so old they were rough and bobbly. “A wonderfully historic house with an equally wonderful garden, location and views. So very peaceful. Only a quick drive to Launceston for provisions. Everyone said their beds were comfortable. Lots of games for the garden and indoor board games for family fun. It was hard to drag ourselves away to go enjoy all the fun things to do in the area. The owner provided a very comprehensive list.”

The steps were a challenge, I consider myself quite fit but 74steps to climb with luggage not easy, added to which my husband scraped his car on the hand rail while trying to park on the tricky slope. “The cottage was comfortable and clean. The weather was cold and wet when we were there and so we were not able to enjoy the garden but the rhododendron blooms were pretty. It was a good place for a base to visit southern Cornwall - Land's End, Lizard Point, Michael's Mount were some of the places we visited.”
