First Visit to Scotland!
After flight delays we made it to Church Tower! Emily was amazing, meeting us and showing us the church tower. So beautiful and comfortable, as described. A few concerns arose and there was a bit of confusion about who the point of contact was. It all got worked out and the much anticipated delicious welcome basket did arrive; and we were able to take our goodies with us to Inverness. Crieff was a beautiful area and we enjoyed the pubs, hikes, and drives. Thank you for a wonderful first experience in Scotland.

Our stay in Crieff
The condo church tower was the most unique place we ever stayed. It was perfect for our family of five and could of fit six. Emilia was very accommodating even after we ran late for check in. The town is easy to get around, you just have to plan for dinner early. But if not there are convenient groceries for you to make dinner at the house. The owner John was able to answer all of our questions before arrival even though we were coming from the US Emilia answered any questions quickly while we were there. Very pleased and would highly recommend. The Richbourgs

Unique Apartment
We stayed in this unique property for 5 days in September. The apartment is on the third floor of the church building and is on 3 floors above that. It would be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The views from the living room and tower are amazing and well worth the climb. The location is an easy walk to the town of Crieff and a great base for exploring the North.

Super stay in glorious Crieff
The Church Tower is a cracking location, for a family or group stay. Really well located, and just a short walk into the centre of Crieff, and very well equipped kitchen enabling meals to be prepared in, if so required. Very clean and comfortable, with quality bedding and furnishings. Off-street parking in a secure garage was also a benefit for storage of kids bikes.

Wir haben sehr entspannte Tage in Crieff in dieser sehr schönen und konfortablen Wohnung verbracht. Die Einrichtung ist gepflegt und liebevoll zusammengestellt, die Ausstattung ist hervorragend. Es ist alles vorhanden, was es für einen entspannten Urlaub braucht. Die vielen verschiedenen Ebenen der Wohnung bieten vielfältige Aufenthaltsmöglichkeiten. Von der Terrasse und vom Turm hat man einen fantastischen Blick auf Crieff und das Umland. In Crieff hat man alle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten vor Ort und kann direkt von der Wohnung aus zu Wanderungen und Erkundungen aufbrechen. Der Kontakt zum Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und wir fühlten uns sehr willkommen. Vielen Dank hierfür!

New Year in the Tower
Flat itself had character and some nice features but the building overall was bland and very anonymous in the entrance areas and outside. We had problems with the creaky floorboards, raised and damaged floorboards, the entertainment system (which frequently refused to load properly), and general layout (each of the 3 floors were divided by an unheated stairwell), but otherwise this was a good experience in an interesting environment. Management was excellent as were all communications - very accommodating and helpful making our stay as stress free as possible.

Beautiful place with great location but too expensive.
This condo needs a good cleaning. Radios in the rooms .. really?! Isn't it 2019! More TVs please -- not that you want to watch TV when you are visiting such a beautiful place. Like other reviews - FIX the stove or at least provide a guide to tell you what the knobs are for. Price when booked far in advance is too high. Hot water / tour of place when we arrived --- these were problems! More attention to details would be nice. For long stays, make it obvious how to have new linens or towels arranged. Crieff is a lovely town.

Hi Denise I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay with us, we nearly always get a 5 star reviews from guests who stay with us, but clearly we did a poor job for you and did not meet your expectations, which we are genuinely sorry for. Perhaps I could response to some of your points in your review. We pride ourselves in having a spotless property for our guests, we are rated 5 stars by VisitScotland quality assurance scheme (yearly inspections). On this occasion our property manager was on holiday, after a long season and the Tower was clearly not as clean as it normally is, and you missed out on the guided tour of the Tower and how everything works, including the oven! You referred to Radios in the room, this is in fact a wireless music system which allows guests to play the same music throughout the property. I know you were in town for the Solheim Cup and would have appreciated TVs in all the bedrooms to stay in touch with the golf, but we are not a hotel. We do have a dedicated TV area, my wife and I prefer that TVs do not dominate the spaces and do not wish to have TVs everywhere, I guess it just a different point of view! It’s a pity you did not ask for fresh bedlinen and towels we would have been more than happy to supply them during your stay. Finally we regularly benchmark our pricing against other similar size and similar rated properties and we know for sure our prices are competitive, not the cheapest for sure but definitely the best value, when the whole experience of staying in a Church Tower is considered. Regardless of my comments above, we failed to meet your expectations and we apologise for that, I do hope we have the chance in the future to show you how much we care about our standards and our guests, and would be delighted to offer a nice fat discount if you ever decided to come back and stay with us. Church tower in Crieff
This property exceeded our expectations. It had that ‘funky-wow’ factor we look for in a vacation rental. Check in was a breeze, Emilia was waiting for us with a smile, flowers and a bottle of wine! She gave us the grand tour and explained everything and even let us check in early. It was very tastefully and very comfortably decorated. Comfy furnishings are important to me (more than my hubby) and the beds, couches and chairs were all comfy and cozy. The apartment could comfortably hold 2-3 couples, although it was just my husband and I. We ate in mostly from the Co-op down the road, but ate twice at The Meadow Inn just next to the Co-op. Food was quite good here and in walking distance so no worries if having a pint of whatever... Location ideal for exploring much of the country. We were sad to leave, wish we had booked for longer, and we will definitely be back.

What a marvellous stay! We've had such a wonderful week in the church tower. It is perfectly equiped and very clean. The view from the tower is amazing. We couldn't stop watching the landscape changing. Crieff is a very nice town from where we started our tours. We'll surely come back.

Extravagante Wohnung über den Dächern von Crieff
Wir waren mit 5 Personen für eine Woche in dieser tollen Ferienwohnung und haben die Zeit und die fantastische Aussicht sehr genossen. Drei Schlafzimmer mit eigenen Bädern, viele schöne Sitzgelegenheiten, ein Garagenplatz fürs Auto - perfekt. Der Ort ist wunderbar, Supermarkt, Bäcker, Restaurants in fußläufiger Entfernung und die Umgebung lädt zu vielfältigen Ausflügen ein. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es für die etwas dürftige Ausstattung an Geschirr, und das knarrende, unbequeme Bett in einem Schlafraum. Außerdem konnten wir Radio, CD- und DVD-Player nicht zum Laufen bringen. Wir haben uns dennoch rundum wohl gefühlt.

Old St. Ninians Tower
Crieff is a great base for exploring Scotland, and this apartment is a wonderful place to stay in Crieff. Located just off the High Street in the older part of town, there are pubs, restaurants and food shops within easy walking distance. The architecture is stunning, with a modern home nestled within the exposed stone walls of the old church tower. We spent two weeks here, half of it with five adults, and enjoyed every day.

Excellent base for exploring Scotland
A wonderful property with fantastic views from the church tower! We enjoyed the house and location very much. 2 en-suite rooms and a family bathroom meant no queues for the bathrooms :) The house was exceptionally clean and the check-in / check-out process very flexible and straightforward. Communications from the property owner and caretaker were also incredibly prompt. The location made it easy to explore Scotland, whether travelling north, south, east or west. Highly recommended!

So fantastic!!!
A group of four of us (one couple, and two single people) booked this place as one of our stops during a two-week tour of Scotland. We couldn't have been happier! Our goal was to pick places where we could base out of while touring Scotland. This was a great location for touring along the shore as well as other destinations inland. Parking was never a problem, and I must admit, the tower was a lot of fun! They have remote-controlled, multi-colored lights that are SO fun to play with! And the top of the tower is actually quite fun for hanging out and gabbing. It's small, but the four of us were just fine up there! The bedrooms were fantastic, and the kitchen/living room area was great! Our hosts were prompt with any requests we had, and we had no issues at all while we were there. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the future!

Beautiful and unique home away
Could not have been more pleased with our rental in the old church. All the small things are included. We had a wonderful time and the rental proceed to be a great location for exploring the area. I would happily recommend it. We fit two families comfortably and had a couple of memorable nights coming in and enjoying our after dinner drinks in the belfry.

Wonderful place to stay. Charming and quiet with pretty views.
We enjoyed staying at the church tower very much. There was plenty of room and the bell tower was a great spot to enjoy coffee in morning and a glass of wine in the evening. We drove to many surrounding villages and found the area to be most beautiful! It’s a perfect spot for a quiet getaway!

A unique, stunning property with amazing views.

Wonderfully unique
A well equipped and unique flat in a former church, with the bonus of having access to the former belfry which has two club chairs and wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. The Town of Crieff is well situated for day trips out into the surrounding area. The town centre is only a few minutes walk, and has a fabulous specialty food store. This accomodation is highly recommended.

The apartment is every bit as good as it looks on the website an excellent base to explore the area
Luxurious and spacious apartment with all the facilities you need and more. Interesting layout provides communal spaces and quieter areas to relax or admire the landscape. All the amenities advertised were provided and check in was friendly and informative. The location provides an excellent base to explore the local area, including the town and surrounding dramatic countryside. We would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to holiday in this area as we really enjoyed our stay.

We are a family of 6: 2 grandparents, a teenage granddaughter, an 11 year-old grandson, and their parents. ALL of us loved the tower. We found the various nooks and seating arrangements delightful, affording us time together or apart. The views are, of course, amazing. We've stayed together previously in villas and homes in other countries, but the tower was unique. The 11 year old - not usually impressed by accommodations - said it was "terrific." Emelia, who takes care of guests, was friendly and helpful and made sure we could contact her at any time. The recommendations for restaurants were excellent. Grandmother is a self-proclaimed food snob and she was pleased to find such superb quality in the near-by restaurants.

Very different, excellent accomodation with stunning views
We were three couples in Crief for a walking / relaxing weekend. The accommodation was very different but also very interesting. We all had our bedroom and bath or shower facilities. Everything worked and was of good quality and it was a pleasure to be there and enjoy the space. We were fortunate to have constant sunshine and flat was filled with light from morning to evening. The balcony really made it the best, sitting out in the evening enjoying a sundowner with the sun and the views...We had a great time and i would thoroughly recommend this accomodation.(Note - the stairs may be an issue for the less able). Crief and the surrounding Perthshire countryside is fantastic with plenty of walks. The distillery is worth a visit as is the Crief Hydro Hotel for views, walking, food and activities.

Eine ganz besonders schöne, gemütliche und aussergewöhnliche Wohnung
Wir haben uns von der ersten Minute an wohl gefühlt. Wunderschön und gemütlich eingerichtet mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail. Perfekt gelegen um Tagestouren in alle möglichen Richtungen zu unternehmen. Großer Supermarkt Co -oprerative in 5 min. zu Fuß zu erreichen. Haben auch den Ausblick vom Turm aus sehr genossen und die schöne Loggia. Es standen sogar frische Blumen auf dem Tisch. Great property and location to base your Scotish exploration.
John's apartment was ideal for my family of five adults with three bedrooms and bathrooms. The apartment was clean and beautifully appointed. We used this as a base to travel through the area but it could easily been used to relax and enjoy Crieff. It was very comfortable for my family and gave everyone space when needed. The tower area was a favorite place to sneak away. I was not sure how the apartment was laid out from the pictures. It is located up two flights of stairs. The bedrooms are all on the first floor along with the bathrooms. Two bathrooms are "wet" rooms and for an American it took some getting accustomed to showering without an I closed area. Make sure you move anything that should not get wet. Personally I was not a big fan but when in Rome... There is a winding staircase that leads to the second level which contains the family room, dinning area and kitchen. There is a nice balcony on this level as well along with a small TV viewing area. The staircase also leads to the tower area with fantastic views of the surrounding area. We did have an issue with the water heating system on our first day but we were able to fix it by going onto the Internet and adjusted the pressure to get the water circulating. They also had a plumber stop by later and we had no problems afterwards. Crieff is a quite town and closes early. There is a grocery store a few blocks south and twice we bought snacks and wine which we enjoyed back at the apartment. For Americans coming for a stay realize that you will need to bring shampoo and bar soap. Also, we never had washcloths. The beds all come with comforters but no single sheet. We ran into some warm days and the comforter was too much. But this was the same everywhere we stayed. Just different than what you find in the states. Nothing negative just different. I would highly recommend this property and it was delightful working with John. It really is a beautiful property.

Amazing
Church Tower was amazing.... It was clean, comfortable and unique. The location was perfect for middle Scotland exploration, we loved starting our day with a hot beverage in the tower watching the sun rise and in the evening enjoying a glass of wine on the deck watching the sun set. During our 6 week European trip, Church Tower was the one location that we want to want to return to. Highly recommend
