“The Rufugio del Mar was a beautiful property. We stayed in building 2 which only had 7 units. They all had their own kitchen and bedroom/s. The staff were super friendly and the pool and gardens were immaculate. I would recommend staying on the second floor if possible as the lower units can be a little dark and do absorb a bit of noise from the above units. “Everything was perfect right from the time we booked this hotel. Check in was seamless, staff is super friendly and the whole property is spotless. We had a family suite on the bottom floor and it was perfect, lots of room for our 3 young kids. There is plenty of bottled water on each floor, a good pizza shop attached to the building plus a convenience and beer store less than a minute walk up the street. “Tony was great from our initial contact to answering questions. walking distance to town and the beaches ( Florence is on the rd. to Playa Los Muertos). Good footwear is required because rds are cobblestone and the town is hilly. No need to rent a golfcart if you don't mind walking.”

“We booked and stayed 1 night in this very cute on the beach cabana. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly. We had a beautiful view and enjoyed the ocean waves all night. As a bonus we were invited to have coffee the next morning with the host and they shared a lovely breakfast of freshly made tortillas and cheese creme & veggies.”
