Conference hotel
Large hotel, catering mainly to conferences and larger gatherings. Not a bad place, but lacks a little soul, if you are not a rather large group of people. A nice restaurant connected to the hotel. Rooms were a bit dated and location is a little bit far for a walk down town. But I wouldn’t mind going back.

Fresh and nice hotel
Rochestown Park Hotel was a very nice and rather big hotel. This lost the cosy and familiar feeling but being a bit more anonymous isn't necessarily a bad thing! We enjoyed our stay though we did not (unfortunately) have time to use the available leisure center and pool (which looks as in the pictures btw). The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was nice and our room was splendid! The room had a European plug which was extra helpful to us. The location could have been a bit better as it was a ten or so minute drive into Cork centre, but it was also nice to stay out of the heat for a bit.

Large hotel in Douglas Co Cork. It was busy with social functions but due to being on the 5th floor I wasn't impacted by noise. Hotel room was clean but corridors and shared areas were dated and a bit shabby in places

My wife had stayed in the same hotel in December and had an amazing room so we booked it for the family. The room shown on the website was nothing like the room we were given! The lead up to the room smelt of Damp and the carpets were thread bare and patched in places. The rooms carpets were black in places and covered in stains. The bathroom shower was small and the water pressure was awful so unusable. The toilet flush was hanging off the system and the whole bathroom was dated and old. The sheets smelt musky as if they had been stored somewhere damp. There was no bedside table so we had to use a chair! The room had two plugs which were on the other side of the room to beds. We complained and the staff were very good and moved us to a better room free of charge. The staff throughout the stay were excellent. The hotel itself needs updating, the windows are ill fitted and a lot of condensation. The aircon was so noise and didn’t even cool the room. The food is nothing like is advertised on the posters and website and at best was OK. The whole place needs an update and modernised. We won’t be staying again unless a lot improves. But credit to the staff who were excellent, they just don’t have much to work with!

A solid weekend away I would say, great food, comfy room, nice atmosphere, decent area around the place, the works. I just wish I could’ve gone straight to the pool instead of going through a changing room, that was the one downside. Still, everything else was on point.

One and only visit
Very dissapointing. Busy reception, check in took a long time. Had to make camp bed ourselves after it had been left outside the room. Matress was awful and in 2 halfs, not very comfortable at all. Food was nice for breakfast, although very limited. Overall dated facilities would not stay again. Staff were lovely, seemed very busy.

No ac in room
When we check in all was fine til we went our room and it was stifling hot. Went to front desk at about 2 pm and explained situation. She said close window and turn on ac.and we will send up fan. What ac? Hallways were cool. Went out with family hoping it would be cooler after 5 hours. It was worse. Fan never delivered and it is midnight walking into a room ridiculously hot. Husband went down and woman at desk brought up a fan. That was obviously too late.Could not sleep all night. Went to check out and was offered tea and scones on them. Ugh. How about a partial refund??

Nice hotel in a quiet area
Stayed 3 nights there. Room was very good and hotel has a very good gym, swimming pool and spa. The dinner at the restaurant was good and very reasonable price. The only bad thins is the breakfast. It doesn't worth for the price. Very limited choices and there is no buffet service.

Rooms are tired. Bed and pillow were like a rock. A labyrinth of hallways. Poor breakfast choice - a version of a La Carte. Pool closed to kids at 7pm. Nothing close by. Disappointed all around a room was nothing like the photos. Would not recommend.

Where to begin...we walked into a very loud lobby because there was a wedding. Both days we were there, the lobby is extremely loud because of the location of their event area. No relaxing in the lobby will occur. Our rooms were not ready. After a very long day of travel, we had to wait for an hour for a room. There was a room for our friends, however they entered their room to find someone else's luggage still in the room. So back to the waiting in the lobby while the manager figured things out. The shower leaked all over the floor, and it was clearly an old leak, because there was mold in the floor tile grout, around the shower and water damage to the wood bathroom door. We went through many towels on the floor to avoid slipping. We had to request towels and toilet paper on 2/3 days we stayed there. The outside facilities & event facilities seem to get the attention, they are beautiful, but the rooms were small, with no space for luggage. There was no drawers or closets. We had to live out of our luggage and push under a desk and balanced on a small table. My friend's room did have plenty of luggage space, so I guess we were unlucky. The manager did reach out to me via text and said she would contact me to discuss my concerns further, but as of yet, nothing further. We stayed in 3 different hotels during this trip, and this was the worst one by far. At least it wasn't too expensive on Expedia.

It is an older hotel that could use a facelift. It has the potential to be stunning! The AC worked great, there were huge, beautiful windows! The pool was very nice! We would stay here again.

Un bon hôtel
Les chambres sont grandes et plutôt propres et le matelas est confortable. Il y a un plateau de courtoisie ce qui est appréciable. La salle de bain dispose d'une douche et d'une baignoire, ce qui est idéal. Le parking est grand, il n'y a donc aucun soucis pour le stationnement. Nous n'avons pas testé la piscine ni le petit-déjeuner. Nous reviendrions sans soucis à cet hôtel.

Grand for a night
We stayed here the night before a funeral, so we didn’t really use the facilities too much. We did eat at the bistro/restaurant and that was very nice. The room was a decent size, a bit dated and shabby looking but clean and comfortable. I would go again for a one night/last minute trip, but I wouldn’t take a holiday here for a longer period.

Reception area and wellness facilities are great. Rest of hotel is a little tired in places. Food served was lukewarm, both breakfast and carvery. Reception staff were lovely and accommodating.
