As we pride ourselves on delivering a memorable hotel experience for all of our guests, but is seems that we have unfortunately fallen short of our goal during your most recent stay. Please accept my sincerest apologies that we failed to meet your expectations on this occasion, but I can assure you that the points you have raised are not representative of our normal standards of service. Please note that all of your comments have been acknowledged and discussed at length with the relevant department manager to ensure that we keep a consistent and improved service level. Bra hotell med en del brister
Detta är ett bra hotell att åka till, stora fina rum. Fräscht rent generellt. Ligger lite i utkanten av Edinburgh, men som tur är ligger busshållplatsen ett par min från hotellet. Det tar runt 20 min för att komma in till centrum, och det krävs att man åker buss för att i närområdet finns inte ett smack att göra. Frukosten är väldigt basic. En sorts ost o skinka och bröd, lite varmrätter m.m. Kostar dock £10 per vuxen (barn äter gratis). Kan dock inte rekommendera att man äter i hotellets restaurang. Dyrt o dålig kvalitet, dock prövade vi afternoon-tea, för £9.50/pers, gott o fräsht. Rekommenderas för det priset.

The hotel is showing signs of aging from cracked ceilings to extremely squeeky floors. We had a 2 night stay and on night 1 we had to close the room windows due to a barking dog in the early hours from a neighbouring property. Night 2 we were woken up just after midnight by the guests in the room next to us being extremely noisy so terrible soundproofing. Stayed in a lot of accomodation around the Edinburgh area but would certainly not come back to this one, nor would I recommend it to others.

Room not serviced during my stay. Wake up calls had not been cancelled on room phone, so woken early both mornings despite letting then know. Sunday morning breakfast was really nice with good service.... Monday not so good...breakfast dried up, things not replenished...poor service.

Give it a miss!
The entrance of the hotel is welcoming and nicely decorated. The rooms are dated and not very clean, there was sauce spilt over the carpet and up the desk by previous guests and not cleaned. The shower could do with a good clean. The hotel hosts weddings, so Saturday night we had no rest, there was an argument outside of our bedroom door from the wedding party threatening each other, I had to phone down to reception to ask for security. It was resolved quickly, however the guests were next door to us so they spent all night in the room taking very loudly, this went on until 8.20am. The swimming pool is dated and the tiles look dirty, the changing room floor were filthy and looked like they hadn’t been cleaned all day. Lastly the location is too far out of the way, at least 40 minutes plus on a bus to the centre. I would not recommend staying in this hotel.

everything was perfect lovely staff and great service only the restraunt was disappointing im not sure if this is too do with the hotel or not however my partner payed over £30 for a steak that came by its self with 6 small tomato’s on top which for the price is rediculous and an extra £5 for coliflour cheese which was all stem. i had fish and chips that was around £17/18 which again is rediculous for food however was very nice.

Good but could do with refreshing rooms
Stayed here several times due to the hotels location. Cost is gine providing there is nothing on in Edinburgh - otherwise realy quite expensive. Rooms very good size but decor looking tired now and really needs freshened up - especially the windows! Fine when paying cheaper rates, but would feel let down if having to pay more than £75 per night

It was a great 3 night stay and we really appreciate it. The indoor pool and its temperature was amazing. Our daughter enjoyed a lot in it. The steam room and sauna were also wonderful. The restaurant and bar were fine as well. Many thanks again!

horrible housekeeping experience
The hotel was ok BUT on arrival we found a (vape) left on the kid’s bed. We thought that should be a mistake although it was left next to the wrapped towels. 2 days later my kid dropped a toy under the bed, went down to get it and yes, another (vape) was found under the bed! not sure what else we would have found if we checked more. Horrible experience thinking that this room, towels, sheets,… were cleaned after the previous guests or just a room tidy up and welcome the new guests! One more negative is that we were given a room on 3rd floor (lift only goes to 2nd floor so we have to carry our bags one floor in check in and check out)

Dirty...Stay Away!
First of all, there was more than one occasion where we came back to the room with dirty sheets with some sort of dark brown/red residue on the sheets. Then there were multiple occasions where what appeared to be clean, folded linens were piled up on the dirty, dingy carpet on our floor. Then to top it all off, towards the end of our trip my wife was covered in red spots/bumps, which the doctor informed us was in fact bedbug bites upon our return home.

I loved the warm welcome I received from all the staff and were very informative that there was things my son could go too if he liked within the hotel (made him included) I never used this but was really nice to know.

Nice looking hotel, staff were helpful and friendly. Food was good room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The pool and steam room was a nice way to spend some time but unfortunately the sauna was out of order. Overall we had a nice stay and we will be back

The hotel building is a very old building but surprisingly, they are able to keep the cleanliness of the hotel. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They also have plenty of amenities to offer; big gym, indoor pool, steam room and sauna. They have good breakfast buffet to offer at a very reasonable price, and the lobby restaurant has very good food too. Room rate wise, it’s very reasonable as well.
