Thank you for booking the villa. Unfortunately, we had a mechanical breakdown in the swimming pool which was beyond our control & we were unaware of the problem until our previous guests departed. Our team visited immediately & within 36 hours (late Sunday - 7am Tuesday morning) the problem was rectified. Our previous guests broke a small plastic cover approx 20ms diameterwhich covers a redundant drain hole at the bottom of the pool. The cover was still in place but secured with one fixing .& although a slight inconvenience, the pool was still usable. A specialist team needed to re-drill another screw hole underwater to firmly secure the cover which took time to attend. We pride ourselves on our 5* reviews which we usually receive on a variety of different advertising websites. On this occasion, we were unable to fulfil our own high expectation due to factors beyond our control & for this, we sincerely apologise & have invited our guests to return again at a discounted rate. Photographs on the website accurately depict the outside space. The perimeter of the garden has typically Cypriot flowering plants which will naturally shed leaves & flowers. However, the garden is regularly maintained.

We were shocked to read your review especially as all our previous reviews this year have been 5* on a variety of different advertising sights. We have the same management team as we used last year, where we have also received 5* reviews. We were pleased to have been able to support you in your personal requirements when you contacted us during your stay. However, we were not personally made aware of any issues with the mattress or bathroom, or via our management team when they visited to welcome you. However, thank you for your comments; which we do not take lightly. We have already addressed your issues to our team in Cyprus and asked them to check all the areas that you have highlighted.

Thank you for reviewing Villa Kalandia. We are pleased that you found the villa very clean and the facilities inside very good and ease of communication both before & during your holiday. We have been fully booked all season which sounds as though it has taken its toll on the garden furniture, which will be replaced for the new season, to maintain our usual 5* rating. Thank you also for drawing our attention to the neighbour's dog visiting, this is something that has never happened before. One side of the villa is locked and gated already but on the other side, we will certainly ask our management team to install a fence.
