Hi Denise,Though we do not typically reply to guest reviews, the above review merits a response due to its inaccuracies. The Sheldon Hotel has cameras in its hallways and safe boxes in each room. Over the hotel’s decades of operations, there has never previously been a report of theft, and we take such reports very seriously. Upon a thorough investigation, we have determined the facts are as follows. You checked out of the hotel in the early hours of the mornings. Four hours later, after the room had been cleaned and disinfected and after a new guest had checked into the room, you came into the hotel aggressively accusing staff of theft. The staff requested the new guest allow you as well as the cleaning team back into the room to look for the wallet. The guest allowed you in, and you looked around two times, and found the wallet was not there. When you threatened with calling the police, the front desk staff member explained you should do so, and patiently waited with you for them to arrive. With the officer present, you looked at the cameras for the period you requested and found no unauthorized individuals had entered your room between the time you checked out, and when you came back. We are sorry you misplaced your wallet but can assure you it was not stolen by our staff at our property.
