“The views from the property were great. The studio was disappointing. The floors were dirty upon arrival, the curtains were filthy and torn. The single chair in the living was torn and in disrepair. “We chose to have a very quiet Xmas this year. Staying for 4 nights at Heron’s Rest was peaceful calm and serene. The surroundings and scenery are beautiful with the dam taking centre stage with lotus flowers bobbing and blooming. A glass of wine on the pontoon and watching our dog get control of her ‘Pontoon legs’ was very entertaining! We had everything we needed in the accommodation. The skyscraper loaf of bread was sublime. We would definitely return. Thanks again to our hosts.”

“Our stay was for 3 nights in early April. The room was very clean and comfortable, the bathroom was very nice. The only cleanliness issue would be cobwebs in the window above the bed. The can of fly spray was basically empty when we first went to use it. There is no screen door so it's either keep the door closed or let the bugs in. We felt a bit awkward when the owners of the property returned home on the Sunday afternoon and they could look straight into our front door from their back...
