Proof that you don't always get what you pay for, very disappointing for the room rate. The whole hotel is a 1970s throw-back. Cramped and cluttered rooms, uncomfortable double beds, single pane windows, over bath shower with shower curtain, daisy-chained extension leads, plastic over carpet in hallways, and lack-lustre food.

Excellent service, even in the winter!
An excellent hotel, the only one in the whole town to have the heating fully on, therefore it was very comfortable in the dead of winter. The food at its restaurant is also excellent, their chef is very talented.

Excellent property in a centralized part of town. Loved walking to the local pub, the Claymore after dinner. Rooms were a nice size and very clean.

Very well-run hotel with up-to-date conveniences and comfortable ambience. The room was great with a comfortable bed and well stocked immaculate bathroom. Pleasant dining room for full included breakfast and dinner. Plenty of space to relax in the lounge and bar with food available.

We have stayed at the hotel several times before. The food is excellent with a change of menu each day and plenty of G-F options. My only criticism is that the shower was poor - not much water and difficult to adjust the temperature and flow.

This hotel is in a small village inside the Cairngorms national park, a beautiful location. There are nice walks starting at the village and many more starting a short drive away. The town is not as busy as some other nearby locations like Aviemore. We ate breakfasts and dinners in the attached restaurant, and the food was plentiful and good. The hotel provides many resources for birders.

Very grand hotel with beautiful features. Customer service was second to none. I had to do a late check-in after long travel from England and the hotel staff were very thoughtful to keep me a dinner plate without me asking; the food was delicious too. Lovely bed, I slept so well and felt so fresh despite a short night sleep. Room and bathroom fully refurbished and did not feel dated at all. Its In a prime location for business and holiday travel, being so close to Inverness. I 100% recommend this hotel. Price is worth it.

Old world feel historical property. Nice dining room in restaurant . We had breakfast and dinner included which was good. Good dinner options. Biggest bathroom I have seen in the UK. Connected Bar and lounge equally inviting. Coffee was not good but tea was just fine. Would stay here again. Window drapes need update. But happy with our stay.

歴史ある建物だが快適かつ便利なホテル
歴史ある建物だが古めかしいエレベータも付いているため、多めの荷物での来訪も問題ない。 ホテルにはレストランも併設しており、ディナーもついている宿泊プランだったので、ディナーもこちらで頂いたが、どれも大変美味しかった。 駐車場はホテルのまわりが路上駐車可能エリアなので車での訪問も問題ない。 立地的にも歩いて数分の所にCOOPも有るので水などの買出しも便利。 車でのスペイサイドの蒸留所巡りには便利なホテルだと思う。

The 1765 hotel in Grantown-on-Spey
This is a fine old hotel dating back to 1765. I really liked the high ceilings, e.g. in the restaurant and my bedroom. The bedroom was substantial as was the bathroom. Great location with east on-street parking. Excellent breakfast and dinner options. The venison casserole was particularly good but it was all great really.

This property may have been lovely years ago but has been allowed to deteriorate. The windows in our bedroom, despite being closed, allowed cold wind to blow in. The ancient lift to the upper floors was accessed via a concertina metal door and a solid metal door. It appeared dangerous. The hot water supply to our shower was unacceptably slow

An excellent hotel with wildlife experts available every day, evening talks and field trips available so that all good bird sites accessible. The food was excellent too and the room spacious. An additional facility was the laundry room. For us, it couldn't be any better.

山あいの小さな町に佇む由緒正しい「ホテル」。B&Bと違って広い部屋、広い風呂が嬉しい。お風呂はバスタブつき。建物は古いがWiFiは速い。大きなレストランが併設されており、ホテルのチェックイン時に夕食予約可。イギリスとは思えないぐらい美味。鴨肉のローストが絶品でした。他もおいしい。

Lack of parking, people smoking immediately outside the front door, limited choice of juice at breakfast (orange only) too many cereals, lack of pastries, poor quality sausages, was not offered any freshly cooked items on day 2. Entrees at dinner were great, starters ok, deserts below par. Dining room was dark & dingy.
