Very nice hotel with good rooms and wonderful pool area! We were travelling with children and the hotel was great for children including the pool. Great food, specially the italian restaurant. Nice staff! Will def come back :)

Lyxigt men inte fantastiskt
Hotellets faciliteter är spektakulära och häpnadsväckande. Personalen är väldigt duktiga och alltid trevliga och välkomnande. Området kring hotellet är ganska tråkigt och endast några få butiker och restauranger i närheten. Vi hade stort fint rum med utsikt över poolen men balkong/terass. Ett stort minus för hotellet är en av grundstenarna för ett hotell, sängarna! Sängarna väldigt hårda och kuddarna av mycket låg kvalité som dessutom var klumpiga och ojämna. Utöver att madrassen var hård, bäddas den även med ett plastliknande överdrag vilket medför att kroppen inte andras.

Fint hotell men mer diskret service önskas
Fint hotell. Saknade att barnen inte fick vistas i inomhuspoolen utan var hänvisade till icke tempererad inomhuspool. Onödigt tjafs om klädsel i restaurangen på kvällarna. Min frus Filip-flops påpekades. Vill gärna kunna äta buffé i vilka skor man önskar efter att betala 4500 kr per natt på ett hotell.

Fantastiskt!
Hotellet är så fint och lyxigt, man känner sig bortskämd. Frukostbuffén det bästa vi ätit. Det finns alla bekvämligheter man kan tänka sig, personalen gör alltid sitt bästa för att man ska trivas. Lollo och Bernie klubbens personal gjorde ett fantastiskt jobb. Vi stortrivdes hela veckan.

Har varit på en hel del 5 stjärniga hotell, men servicen man fick här har jag aldrig varit med om! Här har man verkligen tänk på allt in i minsta detalj! Detta hotell kommer vi att besöka igen!

Lyxig känsla
Vi tog rum med egen pool, klart bättre än att ha utan pool, delad pool verkade också bra. Frukostbuffen var generös, men hade hellre haft a la carte än buffe på kvällen som var det som ingick i halvpension.

Snyggt hotell med bra pool
Stor resort mitt i en söt liten by. Ganska opersonligt men väldigt fräscht pool-område och trevlig strand. Byn är jättegullig. Om man har råd boka privat pool, vi gjorde inte det och suktade mycket efter dem. Det enda som går att klaga på är services som va sådär, lite nonchalans personal i receptionen och att det inte finns någon grekisk restaurang på resorten som öppen varje dag.

Fantastic all inclusive stay with family
Avra was a stunning large hotel offering multiple large pools with a smaller pool near the beachside, multitude of restaurants with some needing pre-reservation but easy to do throught the link they send you, covering asian, italian and pool side snacks as well as main buffets. The all inclusive option is fantastic and large variety of drinks all available within this. They catered amazingly for my 8 month old son especially for food, Jessie at the concierege helped us greatly in putting together meals to send to the chef and be prepared for him. Overall a few less vegetarian options (as mains) for adults but they did make efforts to do the other dishes without the meat. Staff were all very polite and courteous and hotel was large and very clean and maintined well. Spa area also large with indoor pool, sauna, steam lovely massage therapies also Beach very close by but more pebbles than sand Provided us with many baby amenities

Our stay overall was good, the food was great, facilities etc were good; and staff were extremely helpful. Some things however were not great, hence the four stars: - Upon arrival to the room, although cleaned, the sheets had stains on them, room not entirely cleaned as dust and cob webs on furniture, also there were tiny lizards and other insects roaming around. - There were cats wondering around in the food areas and restaurants, which wasn’t pleasant as not everyone is a cat lover, the staff didn’t respond to this very well, at some times there was also a dog wondering around. - It wasn’t very friendly for children, lacking facilities. - Our all inclusive package was self service only in the breakfast and lunch main buffet halls, where you can choose what to eat, but simple things like a soft drinks machine and tea/coffee and beer etc was all waiter service, it would’ve been good to be able to just get these yourselves. They did have a water and juice machine. The snack bars were only all waiter service and nothing to just grab yourself; and although fairly timely, it’s still not very convenient when you cannot just help yourself and have to wait for food and drink. Not a major issue, but good to mention. - The venue said they have variety of gluten free options however in reality these were not great nor enjoyable. They had one type of GF bread which was not nice at all. If the above were addressed, then we would be really happy to visit here again.

We booked a room with private pool. Although the pool was mostly in the sun, sadly the patio, apart from about 2ft of it, remained completely in the shade which was a shame as no possibility of sun bathing

Ideal property for families with children. The luxury all-inclusive package we booked was also great. A special call-out for the staff in the pool-bar where we spent a lot of our time. They were pleasant, warm, offering great level of service. They made our stay special. :-)

Amazing stay
The whole experience was amazing. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is friendly and efficient, the bedroom is spacious and comfortable. The swimming pool is so good, with a bar service inside so you can have drinks by the pool. The buffet has a lot of options, for all tastes, and it is delicious. We really enjoyed the stay and would definitely come back.

Unser Aufenthalt war super! Das Personal ist mega freundlich, wir würden jedenfalls wieder kommen. Das einzige was wir bemängeln, ist die Sauberkeit im Zimmer es waren an den Wänden verdrückte Mücken und es lagen noch Haare am Boden. Aber sonst alles top.

Resort Amazing but room not as good as expected!
The resort was fantastic and the all inclusive was brilliant. Nothing was too much trouble. The only thing that was below par was the room. We booked a junior suite with a double bed and 2 singles. I feel we were thrown in a small suite out the way as I’ve been in bigger hotel rooms at a fraction of the cost. Our beds were made up as 2 singles for us and 2 singles for the kids… the room clearly states a double and 2 singles. That’s the only thing that let it down for me as we paid a lot for our stay and wanted luxury. Maybe we had been spoilt with the previous villa we had stayed in the week before but for an expensive junior suite with private pool… I did expect a bit more room and a double bed! I did ask to move rooms and would pay extra for a deluxe but none were available apparently. The kids entertainment wasn’t great either as only stuff on maybe 3 out of 7 days so it did leave them bored at night at times. The place itself is amazing and the staff would do anything for you but the above issues did let it down for us unfortunately.

The hotel is beautiful, clean and located close to Chania, Samaria gorge and Balos beach. Rooms are spotless, pool area and pool itself great. Food was very good and plenty of choice, the only thing I would add in restaurant was the description of the dishes i.e if it's suitable for vegetarians and vegans. Beach was pleasant but the area leading to the beach needs working on maybe plant trees, plants etc. so it looks more appealing. All in all my stay was very pleasant.

Eine super Tolle Anlage. Das Personal ist super freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Es gibt eine reichliche Auswahl an Essen Möglichkeiten. Der Strand ist direkt an der Hotelanlage. Am Hotel könnte die eine oder Sache erneuert werden. Wir hatten einen Super Aufenthalt. Liebe Grüße

Absolutely divine holiday; the hotel is very well thought through - you have all amenities in the room, by the pool or even by the seaside. Five restaurants, each one with a view, good food selection, huge swimming pool, excellent design; private beach and seaside restaurant deserve a separate thank you ! Sunset dinner in the Avra seaside is a must!

Couples vacation
Amazing week at Avra with my boyfriend. We had a room with a semi-private pool, great view and a lovely patio. Breakfast buffet was great - so much to choose from. Big, clean and nice pools. The restaurants were good - especially the Italian one. Amazing pizzas! Staff was super friendly and helpfull. We loved our stay!
