Nice little place
Very friendly little place with confortable sitting areas around the little pool. Lovely breakfast and confortable rooms.

Charmigt hotell med mysig innegård
Ett litet men otroligt mysigt hotell. Fina rum med sköna sängar. Stort badrum med både dusch och badkar. Mysig innegård med en liten pool precis utanför rummen. God frukost!

Gemütliches und großzügig geschnittenes Zimmer und Bad. Der Frühstücksraum war nett eingerichtet und es gab alles was man brauchte. Wir buchten diese Unterkunft spontan am selben Tag für eine Nacht und erhielten eine Unterkunft zu einer super Preis-Leistung. Empfehlen wir gerne weiter.

This is NOT a 4 star accommodation ! Rooms are old and need a huge update. Breakfast is poor, Sorry, we are no spoiled travellers, but this is not really reality compared to the reviews and foto’s as shown. I would barely give a 5/10 and that is because it is on walking distance to the centre and the car parking is closed by a gate.

very comfortable
We had a very comfortable stay at Baleia, from location to breakfast it all contributed to an overall excellent choice. The only downside for us traveling with expensive equipment was that the door lock to the room was very flimsy, but we had no issues.

Very good location - a short walk from the town where there are multiple restaurants. Very helpful owners who gave good tips and a useful map. Very nice room set around an attractive courtyard with small pool (which we didn't use). Great breakfast.

A home away from home at Baleia
Very very pleasant owners. We felt like a home and the mother Daughter Treated us like a family. I would defiantly recoment this homely feeling guest house.

Our stay was for 2 nights. Our room was across the pool patio, through the reception and breakfast rooms. The room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. It was all lovely and clean. The hosts were very friendly and full of information - Chris and Jonka and the team. Location couldn't have been better. On site parking was secure and we were able to walk to the nearby restaurants and bars in the Hermanus town centre. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful - cooked to order and homemade preserves and honey too which was available to purchase at a low cost. mmmmmmm Pool towels were supplied and there was a fully stocked onsite bar with an honesty box. Will definitely stay longer next time.

Definitely not a 4*
Very disappointed. More of a basic BnB. The place needs updating and modernisation. The mismatch curtains let the sunlight in before 6am, rooms need air conditioning as ceiling fan is not sufficient for temperatures in mid to high 20s. There was no mention on Hotels.com website that WiFi is available for limited hours nor that there are cats roaming around freely (saw one comfortably sleeping between clean pile of towels for pool use). Other guests might not have a problem with this but due to allergies it was not pleasant for us. Too pricey for what it is Secure parking and good breakfast

Erwartungen nicht erfüllt!
Wir hatten eine Familien-Suite mit einem Queen-Bett und zwei Einzelbetten. Die Auslobung des Baleia Guest Lodge Bed & Breakfast war ansprechend mit hellen Zimmern Queen- und zwei Einzelbetten, so auch die Fotos auf der Webseite. Angetroffen haben wir ein sehr dunkles Apartment. Fenster waren sehr klein und zum Teil mit Schränken zugestellt. Anstatt zwei Einzelbetten hatten wir ein Etagenbett – siehe auch Fotos – da rauf waren wir mit 3 Erwachsen nicht vorbereitet. Dusche war provisorische befestigt, der Duschkopf zur Wand ausgerichtet und nicht korrigierbar. Hatten auch Angst, dass der Duschkopf aus der Verankerung reist.
