Billigt hotell nära flygplatsen
Det funkar om man önskar sova några timmar innan en tidig flygning. Hotellet är slitet och det är väldigt kallt på rummen.

Nice lobby but not a good hotel
The hotel is located about 15 minutes from Gatwick Airport and you cannot get there unless by taxi, unless you have pre-booked the cost is 16 pounds. The hotel is an old mansion and the lobby gave quite a first impression but that was promise that could not be fulfilled by the hotel. The service was quite ok but as our flight was scheduled to leave very early, we asked if we could trade our breakfast in for a couple of sandwiches to eat on the airport, this was not possible unless at a hefty price. Furthermore, the wake-up call that I requested was never made. There is no wi-fi in the rooms and the interior was very raw for a lack of a better word. The loo could not be locked, the beds were not soft and the cleaning of the room left a bit to be desired. Finally, while the price was as given at the Hotels.com booking page, there is an additional fee of 2 pounds when paying by card. I cannot recommend this hotel.

Charmigt
Lite bedagat men charmigt hotell några miles från Gatwick; klart prisvärt alternativ till andra närliggande hotell som Premier Inn och Travelodge, och mycket trevligare. Riktig pub och restaurang i hotellet.

In need of major redecoration
The room was small, cold and smelled of mold. There were signs of water leakage in the roof. Decently close to gatwick airport, but when asking the guy at the desk if the cab drivers they recommended took credit cards we were informed they didn't, which they turned out to do. Overall not a very pleasent experience. UK hotel standards are poor, but this was on the lower scale. But the price was cheap and you get what you pay for. If it hadn't been for the mold it would have been ok value for money.

Enkelt, billigt och hyfsat
Vi hade bil och med Gps gick det bra, låg ute på landet, såg att det kom buss till Gatwick. Rummet var rent och fint. Lite varmt även om värmen var av, för årstiden. Det fanns allt man behövde. Lite lyhört. Mycket folk på hotellet men ganska lungt. Frukosten var ok men inte mer. Bra pris.

Lovar mer än det håller!
Besvikelse! Rummet var mögligt, dammigt och med spindelväv här och var. Solkiga lakan och murken toadörr. Personalen var korrekt, men inte speciellt trevlig. Vi kommer inte att återvända hit.

Hard pillows and broken TV
Room was OK but mattress has seen better days and we didn't like the large hard pillows. My wife woke up with a stiff neck. Two smaller soft pillows would be better. Also it was impossible to watch TV as the sound and picture were broken due to a bad connection to the aerial.

One to miss
Good check in but terrible room ! No window bathroom door would not close electric table light had a faulty switch so had to turn off at the wall and not sound proof so aircraft notice was terrible

Not the best
Had to wait at reception for over 15 mins with no acknowledgement or apology for wait. Room was like a cell with no windows and only a sky light which let in light at night so resulting in very poor sleep. Bath room was dirty which had dried body fluids on the shower wall. I will never stay here again. No phone signal either

Lovely olde hotel full of character and charm. My room was sensible and bed very comfortable. The breakfast buffet was outstanding. I will stay again. If you are looking for 5 star luxury this not you place. If you want olde English style and grace. You will love it.

fine for what we wanted (somewhere near to Gatwick for a flight the next day). But if a shame that you have to ask reception to open and close the blind on the skylight, it had been a long day and at the time felt like too much effort, however it was quite bright in the morning and I wish I had asked for it to be closed. You can hear the planes but being that close to the airport it is expected. Great hotel if you want a room for the night before or after a flight, especially as it looks as though they do parking packages with stays too.

British Cosiness
Nice cozy place, located in the countryside of Horley. It has a traditional English feel. And while the rooms could use a little makeover, they are clean and appear to be looked after.

The room we were allocated was freezing cold, radiators in the room and corridor were not on. After reporting this to reception we were given another room. Tried usinge the cash machine 3 times each attempt failed, not even the lady on reception knew how to sort it out. Parts of the hotel were cold and smelled of damp, lounge heaters not working. Would have thought being it is winter the heating would be on and working, very disappointed.

It was freezing cold. Had to wait forever for the receptionist to show up when I wanted to check out. The heater in the room made weird sounds turned it off cause I was scared its gonna set the room on fire over night. And shower was so hard to turn off.

The property is incredibly tired, with the fixtures and fittings of the room incredibly worn and in some parts, broken. The bed was uncomfortable and the room itself was boiling hot (in January) which led to me having the fan on all evening on its maximum setting. I had a problem with my shower which was, in fairness fixed within 3 hours, but the receptionist made me feel like I'd broken it and interrogated me about it when I went down to report it. The parking, whilst free, was a nightmare as a business traveller, as you could never find anywhere to park up upon return. I do not think I'll be staying here again.

acceptable room and comfortable bed for first nights stay,cannot say the room same for return room from holiday room 228 is very poor. Bed rock hard,room smelt musty no air in room,unable to open window-very tired decor throughout.

Full of Immigrants in the foyet.. Crowding around with phones getting the free wifi. Not a good look. Its cheap yes. But they even have a separate room to eat their mesls. Not blaming anyone. Its the middle of no where. Phone signal isnt good.. just dont expect lots of immigrants starung at you making YOU look like the outsider... when you stay just before your holiday..
