“Maddie’s is a beautiful character home. Our room was absolutely sparking clean and beautifully furnished. The staff went beyond what we expected, even provided a sewing kit and set up an ironing board! A full delicious breakfast was served topped off with freshly made muffins and barista-made coffee. This was our first stay but definitely will not be our last!”

“The property is full of amazing antique curios to enjoy. The garden is beautiful. The location is quiet and peaceful. Beautiful views! Breakfast was amazing, delicious and with a magnificent view. “Even before we arrived, I knew we would have a great experience, mainly because of a series of email exchanges with Richard. On arrival and for 5he 2 days we were there, we were impressed with the detail and thoughtfulness of this hospitality. Beautiful house on top of a hill, close to the vieneyards and concert venue, excellent breakfasts and the added extra of transport to and from bimbadgen made this a stay to remember. Thanks Richard and Mark!”

Nice stay
"Spicer’s guesthouse was lovely, with modern and comfortable rooms and the grounds were very pretty, with manicured gardens and wild kangaroos watching from a distance. The staff were friendly but maybe not always as attentive as they could have been. Given the guesthouse is the premium hotel of the Hunter Valley and was quite expensive I’m just uncertain as to what exactly we paid for. I think if you’re going to have a premium price you should be able to justify it in some way by distinguishing yourself from the competition but it was unclear to me if Spicer’s really achieved this. It was a nice hotel without being amazing or anything."
