My company and I really looked forward to visit Desert Rose Resort in Hurghada because of the earlier reviews posted and tempting pictures. We arrived 01.30 1st March and right from the beginning this hotel demonstrated a terrible attitude from the staff. The receptionists could barely speak English and the information was down to zero upon check in... not a great start exploring a 900 room resort with no information about anything. The next morning we found our way to “The Palm” a buffet restaurant where you eat breakfast, lunch and dinner (unless you pre-book your visit to one of the 4 other restaurants, I’ll come back to reviewing these restaurants later) and we were only welcomed by one cleaner, the other staff including managers did not bother to even say Hi or smile. You presume you would get escorted to a table and order coffee but no not here...Eventually 15 minutes later a waiter came to our table offering fresh orange juice, Wow! That’s kind...only one problem - the juice cost 1€ each, see the problem with this resort is - its not an all inclusive resort, it’s a resort with false marketing. Every time you visit one of the restaurants they always want to sell you extra charge beverages and food and the staffs selling techniques is horrible. If you say no they will get mad and leave you with bad service for the rest of your day.
