Servicen var perfekt. Frukosten var lite mer än okey, saknade turkiskt te. Badrummet var litet. Ett perfekt läge. Nära till sultan ahmet, restauranger och tango på hotel Armada på måndagar.

Secure, friendly, affordable lodging close to Old City touristic sites. Challenging to find the first time from public transit. Family run business, small rooms. Ours had a roof deck with sea view. We’d stay here again.

Our stay at Ahmet Efendi Evi was wonderful. The hosts are very friendly and gave us good advice throughout our stay. The location was ideal for visiting Istanbul's main attractions on foot. The room was comfortable and the location is very quiet. Overall, we are very satisfied with our stay.

Lovely place in the old city
Great place and everyone was so nice. The hotel is a lovely place right at the center of the old city thus close to all major place worth visiting.we had a lovely room at the top with a view on the city partial sea view. Breakfast was nice. And they will organise transport to airport with very reasonable rates.

C'est un hôtel familiale. Excellent accueil de la propriétaire et de son fils. Toujours disponible et agréable. Comme à la maison. L'hôtel est bien placé et nombreuses visites à pied. A 10 mn du Tramway. Chambre bien propre et ménage fait chaque jour. WC dans la salle de bain très petite. Le plus important, il y a la climatisation et un petit frigidaire.

Charming pensione in a magical historical area. What sets this place above the rest however is the exceptional host! Gunule is warm and welcoming, so friendly and helpful with any local queries, I cannot recommend this place enough!

A fantastic gem. A sweet small boutique hotel with an expert host. Wonderful hidden location with close access to the blue mosque and all the sites. Beautiful spot with flowers and lovely restaurants next door. We are from the US and needed a Covid test to get home, the hotel called and had a nurse come and do the test for $10, it made everything so easy. Our family will be back soon, it was a wonderful place.

Great place to stay
Very Good Hotel, very friendly an helpful staff, it has a very homely feel. The lady at reception was always smiling and always greeted me with a warm welcome every time I came through the reception. Has a very cosy little garden terrace downstairs. walking distance from most famous landmarks and in a very quite street. Close to restaurants. The WiFi at the hotel was always good. I would highly recommend this place if your a couple or family. I've been to Istanbul a few times and this was by far the best hotel so far. Only down side My shower was a bit small could just about fit but i managed so not a major issue.

Tellement agréable
Notre séjour avec Gunut et son fils YounesC’est très bien passé petit hôtel ou plutôt maison d’hôtes très mignonne très bien placé au calme dans une petite ruelle l’accueil a été parfait tout le temps long de notre séjour nous étions en famille 7 personnes. Au fil des jours nous étions devenus comme une famille les portes des chambres ne se fermait pas au plus tôt nous ne les fermions pas Tellement nous étions comme à la maison je ne peux que vous dire d’y aller tellement nous y sommes senti chez nous Petit bémol Malgrétout la douche qui est très petit et pas très agréable. Le rideau de douche colle à la peau l’eau chaude parfois par et reviens

Accueil au top mais corrections à apporter au bâti
Très bon accueil. Établissement bien placé. Reste à rénover la douche car impossible de prendre une douche sans changement intempestifs de débit et température. On met plein d'eau partout obligé d'éponger avec des serviettes de bain. Pas de volet aux fenêtres donc pour moi impossible de dormir.

A gem in Istanbul
Amazing stay at Ahmet Efendi Evi and will definitely come back. The Hotel is at walking distance from all the major touristic attractions despite being located in a quiet and very picturesque area. The Owner and staff are absolutely amazing people that genuinely care about providing a fantastic experience and stay. I entered as a guest and left as a friend, This place is a real gem!

Secondo me, nonostante la gentilezza e la disponibilità dello staff e della proprietaria, purtroppo questo hotel che assomiglia più a un bed and breakfast, non merita il punteggio alto che ha. La camera nella quale ho soggiornato era trascurata: un solo comodino per un letto matrimoniale, una sola lampada per leggere, le prese divelte dal muro, la tanto decantata pulizia non c'è (e mi rammarico soprattutto perché siamo ancora in tempo di covid). Per non parlare del bagno, vera nota dolente: sporco antecedente (basta davvero una passata di candeggina a volte) e la pulizia non veniva effettuata giornalmente considerato poi che eravamo in tre ad utilizzarlo. La prima colazione sicuramente potrebbe essere migliorata ma sufficiente. Il rapporto qualità prezzo non significa che non ci debba essere pulizia. Peccato.

I had an amazing stay at Ahmet Efendi Evi. Thank you to the owner, Gonul, her son Jonus and housekeeper Musa for their friendliness, kindness and hospitality to make my stay a memorable one. I've always stayed in chain hotels being on vacation but after staying at Ahmet Efendi Evi I will never stay in chain hotels anymore. I've met so many people at this little gem and some became friends. Ahmet Efendi Evi is so central to explore Istanbul by foot. I will be back in August / Sept. Thanks again Gonul, Jonus and Musa!!!

Home from home will be back
A warm welcome awaits you at Ahmet efendi evi .. the hosts are lovely and freindly and happy to help you in any way they can ..we had the family room which has a living room area and separate bedroom which was great as we were staying 11 nights. Breakfast and fresh coffee was made for us each morning and gave us a good start to the day . The location is great in a quite area within walking distance of the blue mosque and the grand bazaar and walking distance to the hook up to the local transport system , trams, trains,buses,underground and boats. Plenty of good shops and restaurants nearby. Or if you want a delivery the hosts will happily order in for you . This is not a posh hotel its a home from home freindly clean comfortable quiet place that you can feel at ease in . A great base for your adventures in istanbul. Will definitely come back here . Thanks for having us we loved it 💞
