Hidden gem
A small hotell by a street with lots of traffic going to and from NY, BUT absolutely fantastic staff, serviceminded and friendly. The rooms were clean and quite large, for a European at least. Even though there was this busy street, the windows kept the noice outside. Close to a mall but not so many restaurants nearby (exept for Burger King, Mc Donalds). Ideal if you come by car. 15 min walk to trains- but pay attention- there are two stops that have nearly the same name. If you are going to Manhattan, choose ”The path”. Breakfast was fresh, not so much variety though and a lot of ”sweet pastries”, no cheese or ham or so. So that and the lack of a proper breakfast-area, is the only thing one can complain about, but only a little little bit.

Fantastic place, friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. Great location, nice restaurants and shopping in walking distance. PATH trains to Manhattan is just a short walk away. And free parking! Couldnt have been better and I am definitely coming back now once Ive discovered this place!

Our first visit to New Jersey was an absolute delight, thanks to The Holland. We were fortunate to discover this gem, especially appreciating the convenience of complimentary parking and breakfast. The breakfast spread was delectable, with a variety of fresh pastries and coffee always available. The well-lit parking area provided a sense of security, which was important to us as young adults. What truly stood out was the personalized touch from the hotel manager, who greeted us in French knowing we were from Quebec. The staff's hospitality was exceptional! Thank you, The Holland! We're already planning our next visit and will definitely recommend you to others!"

This is a very nice hotel in Jersey City. It is an older building, but is very well maintained. The biggest feature is its cleanliness. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. There is a PATH station about 10 - 15 minute walk, and rideshares are easy to get there. The one thing to note is there is no elevator. You must carry your bags upstairs (though the staff was quick to offer to help).

The staff members were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home as soon as I arrived. One of the things I loved most about my stay was the hotel's location. It was situated in a safe and convenient area, making it easy for me to explore the neighborhood and do some shopping.

Great budget option for a weekend trip to NYC. No frills, but confortable, clean and quiet. Super friendly staff and great breakfast - pastries and coffee are much better than in regular mid-range hotels! Quick 15min walk to the PATH train station, which was very convenient. Would definitely come again.

Un grand merci au personnel au comptoir. Les employés ont été très courtois et disponibles pour répondre à nos questions. De plus, ils nous ont su orienter sur les commodités aux alentours. On y retournera sûrement. Endroit très pratique pour un séjour de courte durée.

Its a very humble simple experience at this facility, old style the smelly carpet they use everywhere mixing with rain humidity and enclosed long warmed carpeted areas invite bad smell in small tiny areas.the construction constantly on the entrance to holland tunnel with limited dining area close enough walking in cold winter weather, specially that when the offer the acceptable limited continental breakfast with 2 Little tiny area to eat breakfast in cold weather make this a less enjoyable experience. So if you are here to to quick business ant sit in the hotel at all .it does ok. Otherwise no vanity setup in the bathroom with only flimsy paper clear cups to put your toiletery in or a small rack over the toilet seat not the tiny sink itself.the courtyard marriot would have been a better convenience for a location.but in general not a fresh smelling appealing place to enjoy a stay.

The Holland is a cute little hotel right at the entrance to the Holland tunnel. During our stay, we drove into the city twice and walked to the PATH train (an easy 10 minute walk) twice. Parking is free for guests, so if you have to drive to NYC instead of fly it's a very affordable place to park the car. The breakfast was delicious, fresh pastries and fruit and excellent coffee, although I wouldn't complain about more protein options. The staff were easy to talk to and helpful.

Foi uma estadia que nos surpreendeu positivamente. Fica em um lugar de fácil acesso e próximo a Manhatan. Jersey City está revitalizada e é fácil caminhar e aproveitar o calçadão de frente para o Rio Hudson e com vistas ótimas de Manhatan. No hotel, que é simples, você pode tomar o café da manhã em mesinhas disponíveis ou levar para o quarto. O estacionamento é GRATIS. E vc compra 1 cartão de metro e o carrega (até 4 pessoas podem utilizar o mesmo)para ir até NY e para passear em NJ tbm. Os funcionários muito prestativos e simpáticos. Muiito bom. Recomendamos

This is a great option for those looking for a affordable, clean, and safe stay. We had kids with us and felt the area was okay for them. We parked by the Path and took the train into Manhattan from there. The breakfast is simple but actually better than we expected. The property is a bit dated but room was conformable and clean. We would stay again.
