“Purbeck hotel was a last minute decision and one I was very happy to have made. I stayed in the lodge, great sized rooms. Staff were lovely and helpful, made me feel at home. Location was great for the town and the Swanage railway, the reason why I was in town. I did not have breakfast as was out early so cannot comment on that side. If I was looking for a negative point then my tv didn’t work (I wasn’t in the room much anyway) and the shower/bath could be better (showerhead needs improvement...

“The Royal Beacon is a nice comfortable hotel with excellent views. The bedroom furniture was a bit dated but in reasonable condition. The bed was very great. The bathroom décor was also a bit dated, but very clean and serviceable with plenty of hot water and flutty clean towels. The staff were very pleasant. It's just a shame there's no evening dining. Having said that, there are lots of restaurants and cafes in close proximity. ”

“Overall a good stay. Spoilt a little as we stayed previously and didn't have to pay for the pool etc. This time however we did as we booked through Expedia, although we tried to book direct there was no room availability. I think it should be as it says on the best western website,if your a resident then it's all included.”
