Vi använde mest gasgrillarna nere vid havet. Där vi hade sällskap med vattensködpaddor i vattenbrynet. Poolen på området var tråkig inklämd bland lägenheterna. Det stora minuset är vägen som är vältrafikerad och stör när man skall sova.”

“I wish we would have had more downtime on our vacation but one of the best things was waking up and sitting on the lanai and drinking coffee in the morning and watching the waves and ocean activity. Very nicely appointed condo which had everything we needed including snorkle gear! Very happy with the condo and would definately stay here again if traveling to Kona!”

“The condo is decorated nicely and located near restaurants and shopping area. The host answered us promptly with questions and addressing concern/issue. We met a nice "neighbor" on the same floor and had a pleasant visit with her and her dog. Kalalau beach is near by which provides nice snorkeling experience. We will come back and visit again.”

“A large apartment with full kitchen including all equipment free internet washer/dryer etc. Pool and yaccuzzi and poolarea with several BBQ´s. Free parking and walking distance to everything. A very comfortable bed. This was the best place we ever stayed at, would recommend it particulary for extended periods.”

“We were very comfortable with 5 guests. The sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. The views are amazing-we saw whales, sea turtles, tons of fish and sea creatures. The pool is nice. The condo had a cooler, beach chairs and beach towels. There is a great surf break directly in front of the condos. Highly recommend!”

“Can’t beat the location of this property/unit; right on the water, lovely large lanai to enjoy both early morning coffee (and surfers) and gorgeous sunsets in the evening. Loved being on the 4th floor and leaving our sliders open to hear the surf. The unit has had some renovations, the kitchen is upgraded and well stocked, the two bathrooms have new tile showers and vanity counters. Not a fan of carpet in rentals, if I was really being picky I would say that it was not nice in the bedroom....

“Overall we were very pleased with our stay and would recommend Mike's place to friends and family. Mike is great at communication and very organized. The place was very well stocked. We really enjoyed using the boogie boards. We loved dinners on the balcony watching the sunset. The only thing that could be improved was that one of the twin beds was worn out and squeaking badly. “This is my 4th trip to Kona Makai, and the 4th different condo I’ve stayed in. Each has been clean, well cared for, and had the view as advertised. The grounds at magnificent, with a fabulous tropical garden. The pool is delightful, and the patio area is excellent. Lounge chairs for relaxing, tables and chairs for dining or socializing, and 5 grills for use by guests!”

“Check in was snow, the room guaranteed by 4:00 pm, I was there at 3:40pm and they won’t let us to the room till 4:00pm, this resort didn’t provide shampoo and conditioner, it is kind of weir.”

“The plates were not clean, we had to was them with cleaning before we could use them. The personal was a bit rude, the only one who was nice was the frontdesk manager. The beds were bad, every time you moved in the bed they sound very loud!”
