Hilton is a brand name and as such we expected the services rendered would be at a high level but sadly this particular Hilton Inn did not perform as well as expected.
1. When we walked in the corridors, the air smelled damp. This was very concerning for us since we did not want to be inhaling mold.
2. I was shocked to find in the closet a price list of laundry. They literally charge you to wash 1 pair of socks, charge you for 1 shirt etc. Every piece of cloth is charged separately. This was very shocking. I have never see a Hilton in the US act like this so you can understand my shock when I was reading through the price list of the Hilton in Uganda.
3. I asked the hotel if they had a printer, they said yes. I went to the lobby and printed some pages. When I got up to leave, the front desk asks me which room number I am in. I ask why and he says we charge separately for printing and to make it worse, they charge per page. I was furious. Again, Hiltons in the US do not charge for printing. You have already paid for your room and printing is all inclusive. It makes no sense that you have paid '$900 for your room and then they still charge you for the room.
-Please do not use a name brand like Hilton and then go about introducing ridiculous fees that are not being charged on the other Hiltons. If you cannot conform to the Hilton standards, then please change the name of your hotel to something else.
4. The continental breakfast was good.
