Det var nära till stranden och inga backar. Väldigt hjälpsam personal och svarade på alla frågor som jag hade. Mycket bra med dubbla a-c aggregat, sovrum och vardagsrum. Poolområdet var också bra samt gymmet. Var här dom 10 första dagarna av 2 månader. Kanon start.

Mycket bra hotell
Mycket bra hotell och trevlig och artig personal. Frukosten var bra men någon dag lite kaos då det var mycket folk, men i stort sett mycket bra frukost. Byggarbetsplats bredvid hotellet men det brydde vi oss inte om, det störde oss inte. Två pooler varav en med poolbar. Bra och mycket mat där samt jättetrevlig personal.

Bra hotell med trevlig personal.
Bra hotell med trevlig personal,bra frukost o nära till både shopping,restauranger o ca 6min till stranden. Det ända som var ett minus var att uppe vid poolen så var det liv från grannhotellet som höll på att byggas.Annars så var allt bra. Åker gärna tillbaka igen.

Bra läge, härlig pool
Fina rum, dock ska man känna till att det är en byggarbetsplats precis intill hotellet. Vi hade oturen att ha vår balkong mig byggarbetsplatsen. Dock ska det tilläggas att det inte störde oss. De börjar jobba runt 9 och det är inte störande (Om du inte ska sova till sent). Trevlig personal och bra läge. Poolen låg fint i solläge

Kommer nog bli ett väldigt bra hotell i framtiden. Stora och rena rum, bra poolområde. Men det som inte nämndes var att det var en byggarbetsplats. Vår balkongutsikt var fruktansvärd och störande byggljud.

Ett helt nytt hotell. Mkt bra i mitten av Kata nära till stranden. Frukosten bra Gym bra Två styck pooler en på markplan och en uppe vid 5våningen på hotellet. En liten nackdel var att de höll på att jobba på innergården så det såg ut som en byggarbetsplats,men det var inget vi störde oss på

amazing value! I loved Kata and the hotel. plenty of things to walk and see. the sister resort next door had a pool and bar with live music. AC works great. Employees were always helpful and knew enough English to be able to offer great service. The breakfast was just okay.

In the center of all the shopping, restaurants (the night market), and a 5-10 min walk to the beach. Noises from the night bars (speaker systems) can be heard in the hotel. We are up seven floors up and still the bass from the music played echos in our room.

Overall I enjoyed my stay here, we got the bigger room for 4 people but I honestly have to say the space was tight for 4 ppl and luggage, I wish the rooms were bigger or at least the common area that would be a plus. There are many restaurants and bars around the area to eat and also the Kata night market is across the street which is a plus! The beach is about a 10 min walk very convenient! The staff are nice in the lobby, check in was smooth. Could the hotel use some updates yes certainly but it had everything we needed for our trip so I would recommend the hotel

The Grand Kata was a very nice hotel. The room was spacious and clean (we were in a 2 bedroom room). The pool was nice, the breakfast was very good with many choices including having eggs made for you any way you like. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff did a great job cleaning the room every day. My biggest negative was how incredibly busy it was everywhere around the hotel. I don't know why but I expected it to be somewhat secluded but it is in the middle of an extremely congested city life. The positive about that was the many food choices easily within walking distance. But there are people and vehicles everywhere. It was a bit of a walk to Kata beach which is absolutely beautiful. You can rent chairs and an umbrella for 100 baht per person which is reasonable and there are food stands on or just off the beach. If you understand how busy your surroundings will be and are OK with that then you should be very satisfied with the Grand Kata.

I booked a “Grand room 2Bed room” for two nights through Expedia. The room advertised in the photos had a view of a green lawn with messi and other on the windows. However, the room I was assigned to was not the one in the pictures but was located on the second floor with a terrible view of a dirty river and a building under construction. I informed the front desk about the discrepancy with the photos, but no changes were made, and I ended up staying in that room for two nights. The male staff at the front desk was also unhelpful, which made the start of my vacation in Phuket very unpleasant. Since the room provided was different from what was advertised, I will also be contacting Expedia about this issue.

Overall we had a good experience. Highlights: Good location, excellent breakfast included, two nice pools, and friendly and efficient staff. Areas of improvement: The gym is in poor shape with broken equipment, the hotel must have a towel theft issue and they are guarded, and a US$100 cash deposit was required at check in which was returned after room inspection.

Nice hotel, Area was OK
We opted for the plunge pool room. It was a small outdoor area. Not sure it was worth the price difference. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The AC needed a card in the slot to keep it going, so it took a while to cool down when you return to the room. Breakfast had some good options with an egg bar. The restaurant had different event themes that we did not get a chance to try, but looked nice. We did not spend any time at Kata Beach because it was difficult to access and not an overly nice beach. Tons of restaurance nearby and the night market and walking street within a 5 minute walk. Tons of families, not a party area. Costly taxi and Grab to go to nearby towns or sightseeing. If you are set on the area, the hotel was nice, but I suggest a different island in Thailand as it didn't feel like Thailand and the local restaurants had novels for menus.

Had an amazing stay at the Grand Kata. Staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. Location is great, walking distance to Kata and Karon beach and 10 min ride to Patong. 1-2 minute walk to the local markets and shops. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Separate air conditioning in each room and large balcony. Bathrooms were clean and nice to use. Breakfast buffet was excellent, a very wide range of food from traditional thai food to western breakfast options with an assortment of fruits and pastries. Freshly cooked eggs of your choice. Nice gym and pool although the pool would be a bit small if it gets crowded. Overall would definately recommend staying here, very convenient location, clean and well priced.
