The Beachwoods resort offers a lot of amenities for their guest. It is children friendly with activities for all ages. The gated resort is safe and secure. The villas are clean and maintained. I highly recommend this as a place to stay that offers more than a standard motel. It offers you an experience.

Took my family for a short getaway over Memorial Day Weekend. My children (11 & 14 yo boys), had a fun time. It wasn’t crowded at all. We enjoyed a nice evening on the paddle boats and playing ping pong together. While there were several things for them to do, they were upset that the large green slide and arcade were closed. I was not informed of these closures until AFTER I booked a non refundable stay. Also, there was a dryer issue (I think) and we had to reuse our wet pool towels the whole stay. Nice place, but wouldn’t come back until all amenities are functional, especially since there is an additional $30/per day resort fee.

Rude staff, a bunch of amenities were closed and still paid $559 for one night. A big on one of the beds, was told “there’s nothing we can do”. Watersides were rusted and unappealing to look at.

When we are notified of guest concerns prior to check-out, we do our best to address the concern during their visit. The property was nice. We weren't real impressed by the check-in apparently, the facility was short staffed. The rooms were nice and clean, bit noisy due to the thin walls.

We liked the lake, water park and paddle boats for the kids. Beachwoods exclusive parking for beach access is nice. Need to get the big slide operational or replace with something else. Also the game room wasn't open which was disappointing for our kids. We stayed in one of the older models and it could really be felt in the floors and seen on the exterior. Overall it was a good experience with a few inconveniences.

Biggest issue we had with staying here was that the entire indoor water park wash shut down for renovations and this is not disclosed while booking. Then after having booked the NON REFUNDABLE reservation we received a “thank you for booking” email and buried in all the fine print mentioning that the water park is closed. Now we were stuck with this hotel. Very sneaky. If the water park is a big deciding factor for you to want your kids to have a good time, be aware. You may consider calling to check first. Kind of a pain to be calling every hotel I’m considering to book to verify everything is open as advertised :(

I am not sure which dates you are referring to. We have not had a water park closure recently. The large slide is closed, but the rest of the entire indoor pool has remained open. We hope you will visit with us again soon.

Our suite was spacious and very clean (except for a dead cockroach we found, which kind of ruined it). However, it was WAY older and shabbier than the pictures; the walls are super thin, so we listened to the crying children next door all week; and we paid $150 in resort fees for amenities that were almost all closed. Anyone who sees this, please turn back now!! They do not offer refunds, and there are probably 10-15 way better hotels/resorts just within a couple miles. Don’t waste your money

Pool hours were not as listed on website, and pool water slide was rusty and big slide was out of service and seemed to have been for a long time. We stayed there just for the water slides for the kids had we known only the small one worked we probably would not have stayed! And chlorine smell in pool area burned your eyes it was so strong, seemed way over treated so much so wster was very cloudy.

We were a family of 4, including my 8 year old grandson. The indoor water park wasa huge hit with him, and the adults enjoyed the hot tib The beach is a short drive away. Games are provided to bring to your room. Close to restaurants. Friendly staff.

Hot tub was out of service, gaming room was out of service all for maintenance. I wish this would have been advertised online as we booked during a day it rained all day so there was only the pool to get in which the heat should be warmer than 80 in the off season maybe like 85-90 would feel better

Went during off season (March). The resort is beautiful. Staff and rooms were great. It would have been nice if they had some sort of cafe. I believe they accommodate that during the peak season. Highly reccomend!

We were only there one night. When we first got to the room we noticed that the trashcan under the sink had not been emptied. Had a bunch of trash in it. Other than that, the room was fine. Bed mattress was ok. Front desk person and staff at inside pool were good. I didn’t really appreciate the “selling” experience at check- in. If I was interested in a timeshare or such, I would have asked. Other than my son getting his IPod stolen by cleaning staff at checkout, I thought the facility was fairly safe for the family.

Staff was friendly….albeit to sell us a timeshare. Mai. Facility's seemed very nice. However, once we got to our room though clean, it is very tired and used. Because it is both a hotel and timeshare not sure if the rooms are the responsibility of hotel or individual owners. This trip was all adults. Room maybe be perfect if you have a lot of children running around

We stayed at Beachwood Resort for a relaxing weekend with the kids. After looking at pictures online, we were excited about the indoor waterpark with 2 slides water basketball hoops, and the arcade. However, after we arrived, we learned that the big green water slide was permanently closed and looked like it had been for a very long time. There were no water basketball hoops either, so the pictures online are very misleading. The water park area is old and very rusty. The indoor pool water is VERY cold and the kids did not enjoy it. The arcade was closed the entire time we were there, which was such a bummer for the kids! There are not a lot of walking paths along the resort, so we had to walk in the road to get to the tennis courts and basketball courts. The resort is a little dated, however, we still made the best out of the circumstances, and enjoyed our time together! I would not go back unless the water is heated.

Had some nice amenities, pool is not a water park but had a slide and lazy river and a hottub. The extra areas are outdated the cabins are outdated but still really nice. They dont offer breakfast and there isnt good food options right close but within a 10min drive. Beach is about a 5-10 min drive as well. Overall a really nice place to stay and staff were great.

2 night stay was horrible. We get to our room and it sounds like a heard of elephant's above us. I understand some noise but this was out of control. I call front desk and their response was “wait a couple hours.” That is completely unprofessional. Im in management in the hospitality industry and do security at a hotel on weekends and this is just NOT how you treat a guest. So that started the whole trip in negativity for me. We go to the water park and just rust everywhere. No basketball hoops in the water, which is honestly one of the main reasons we actually came here. As we get back to our room after “waiting a couple of hours” there was no change. Not even after the resorts “quiet time.” My son woke up several times throughout the night due to noise. Again I do understand there will be noise but it was just out of control and for nothing to be done rubbed me the wrong way. I am in search of full refund.
