Quiet stay close to beach
We enjoyed our stay in Poipu. A quiet neighborhood within walking distance to the beach. Many amenities were provided for inside and outside. This included a cooler, beach chairs and other beach equipment. Cam gave us a gift of chocolate covered macadamia nuts and left us some bananas from his property.

VRBO review
The host was a nice person, there were plenty of beach supplies on the porch you can use. The bedroom was small but clean bed was good. The hot plate in the cooking area was marginal. You have to buy your own coffee. The price for the area was reasonable.

I really enjoyed how close the property was to the beach. Very quiet area. Home was old and run down. There were cockroaches in the bathroom and kitchen areas. Water dripped from the shower. Couldn’t close the screen door for the patio, was off the track. Would not stay there again.

Cozy and great location-
Cameron was available for questions and very welcoming. The unit was cozy but met our needs. It was a great location in Poipu. We appreciated the beach supplies to borrow (chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards and cooler)

Great Home Base
Cam's place was a perfect place to call homebase for a couple days. It's located in a nice quiet part of Poipu and pretty close to Poipu Beach. Cam was very responsive and accommodating, a great host!

Clean and close to two beaches.
Host is very friendly and helpful, responsive to my questions. It's not fancy but it is comfortable and provided a quiet place to stay. We walked to two beaches in just a few minutes.

First and foremost Camron was an excellent host. VERY nice and accommodating. Picked me fresh papya. The place has a well appointed kitchen. Full size frig. We ate breakfast there every morning. Microwave, coffee machine & 2 burner hot plate made it very convient. No air-conditioning just want to mention this in case this is important to you. There are ceiling fans and a floor fan that are helpful. There is a washing machine and dryer in the hallway and I definitely took advantage of them. Cameron has Kirkland Free detergent, there for you to use. My favorite thing about this place is it was in a very nice upscale neighborhood right next The Gand Hyatt. 5 min walk to a BEAUTIFUL beach. 10 min walk to dinner or coffee shop, car ride away to shopping or Longs drug store. There is a pool that you can walk to to use. Cam has very clear instructions on what to do. We enjoyed our 9 days in Kauai. This place has 3 separate units. It was very affordable, plenty of clean towels. The place is not the newest and could use some upgrading but it was clean.

Cute and charming
I had stayed here solo, just for one night before heading to the other side of the island. It was everything I needed for my short stay. The location was great. The space was clean. I didn’t use the kitchen but it seemed to have enough to work with for a party of 2- if needed. The full size refrigerator was a plus. The bed was comfy enough. The futon will need the extra padding provided. I didn’t check out the pool because I came for the beaches. I read some reviews that said it was out dated. I found the space to be endearing and safe. If you want luxurious, there are many expensive alternatives to go for. Everything listed is accurate. Cam the host was quick to respond and gave very good instructions upon arrival. I would stay here again. Mahalo!

Not accessible with 6 stairs to get inside. No room in the kitchenette area to move let alone cook. 4 nights and 5 cockroaches! Totally not worth going back!!

Best value in Poipu!!!
We loved our stay here and this place is a diamond when compared to the mostly expensive accomodations in the area of Poipu close to the beaches. Cam was a great and friendly host - always quick to respond to any questions. We enjoyed seeing his photos on the walls of his history in mountaineering and seems he has lived a life of adventure, retiring on Kauai. The checkin instructions were clear. About the unit: 2 rentals on the main floor of a detached house, host lives upstairs (don’t let that be a deterrant, he is as relaxed and chill as it gets) BEST VALUE YOU WILL FIND IN POIPU! All the photos are accurate, but what I wasn’t expecting was this affordable unit to be located in such a gorgeous area. Close to the beaches, hiking trails, the hyatt, surrounded by beautiful homes and simply the most scenic neighbourhood I have ever seen. Extremely quiet and safe area and we loved walking to Brennecke’s and Poipu beach. The pool and hot tub were great. Cooler/umbrella/body boards/snorkelling equipment/noodles and more provided. There are no other accomodations at this price point in Poipu. The unit is simple, but extremely well equipped. Washer dryer in building with detergent provided was most welcomed. Cool breeze through the windows- AC not required! If you want luxury, spend 800$ a night and go to the hyatt. If you appreciate simple but well equipped accomodation at a great price point in the best of areas with a lovely host, there is nothing better than Cam’s place.

sehr nettes Apartment mit Terrasse in einem Wohngebiet
Das Apartment liegt im Erdgeschoß eines Wohnhauses in einem wunderschönen Garten. Der Strand ist gut fußläufig zu erreichen. Der Pool, den man in einer Anlage mit nutzen kann, ist allerdings zu Fuß etwas zu weit entfernt. Wir hatten eine eigene Terrasse, auf der wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt haben.

Amazing location
Very quite property with a nice lanai. Conveniently located close to the beach. The property was well equipped with the necessary appliances (large and new refrigerator) and kitchen tools. Very friendly landlord (thanks fo the welcoming macadamia candies).

Happy with my stay
It was the perfect location for attending a wedding at Shipwreck beach. It was great to have all the beach gear for use on the porch: chairs, snorkle gear, boogie boards. The place was very clean and accessible. I had all I needed and Cam was very nice. Thank you!

Nice house in a great area
Cam's house is sitting in a very nice neighborhood very close to great beaches, for which Cam provides all beach gear you can think of, awesome! Our apartment (queen) had a tiny kitchen and a great patio. All in all everything is clean, but old and might need some investments.

Great stay!!
Property in a beautiful neighborhood near Hyatt and Poipu beach. Stayed in Queen suite, comfy bed with nice soft linens and fluffy towels. Nice kitchenette room with full size fridge and pretty lanai! Easy and quick communication with owner and clear information for our stay. Having access to washer and dryer a nice bonus! Loved our stay and hope to return again!

Nice spot in an excellent location
My husband and I stayed here for a week and it was a nice little spot that met our needs. It is cozy and basic but has the essentials, and the lanai is great. Cam was also a welcoming and accommodating host! Only downside is that there is no airflow or cross-breeze through the unit, so even with fans it was very hot to sleep.

Awesome Place to Stay!
We came to Kauai to see the sights and this was an excellent accommodating location! It is by no means "fancy", but the bed is extremely comfortable and the lanai was a little slice of solitude in an area with a lot of hubbub. Cam was super friendly and helpful. Our only comment is that the snorkel gear has some signs of wear and tear, so we didn't get to use that amenity fully. But other than that, any beach activity you could want to partake in is completely catered to you!

The perfect stay
Cameron was an incredible host with a beautiful rental and property. We throughly enjoyed our stay. The space was clean as well as very spacious and relaxing. When we walked in there was beautiful Hawaiian music playing and a treat to welcome us. We were so happy from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Everything we needed during our stay was included in the rental and made for a very smooth trip. Perfect place to stay!

Clean & Friendly with a Great Location
My son and I had a great stay at this location. It is very close to the green belt that crosses through the neighborhood. It is located between two beautiful beaches, Shipwreck and Brennecke’s. The host was very friendly and there was equipment you can borrow on the front porch: snorkeling gear, beach chairs and boogie boards. If you like a low key, informal setting in a great neighborhood, this is the place for you. There was also a small kitchen in our room and a wonderful lanai and outdoor BBQ.
