Nice Place To Stay and Excellent Location
The Blue Hawaii suite was bright and airy. King bed was comfortable. Cam, our host was very nice, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area since he’s a longtime resident. Location is excellent with green belt walking paths around the resort. Ocean, beaches, pool, and restaurants within easy walking distance. I would book this property again when visiting Kauai in the future.

The location of this VRBO was wonderful. We could easily walk to the swimming pool and to the ocean. Our host even left us with a welcome gift. We would stay here again if visiting the island!

Everything we needed for a relaxing stay
The host met us at the door when we got there. Very friendly. The accommodation was a very nice size. Lots of room with a separate kitchen and entryway. The location was very nice. No air condition but lots of windows with a beautiful breeze going through. We very much enjoyed our stay. Brenda Lee and Dave also had very convenient access to laundry facilities 😄🌴

Nice Little Flat
We had a nice stay at Cameron's flat near Poipu. We were impressed by the welcome and appreciated the detailed information we needed to know to make our stay comfortable. As advertised, it is just a short walk to view the sunset and a little further down to the beach. Although we did not get a chance to use them, all of the beach amenities--chairs, snorkel gear--seemed to be there for guests to use. perhaps most importantly, the bed was comfortable and we had good nights of sleep!

Great stay on south shore
Great location near Poipu. The suite was private, comfortable, and clean. Cameron even provided a box of chocolate covered macadamia nuts! Highly recommend for a stay along Kauai's south shore.

Property needs work run down, furnishings very old. Kitchen needs work our overhead fan broken and our unit only had a two burner out plate. Kitchen pots very old etc.. Pillows very uncomfortable. TV was good and fridge was nice and good beach equipment. No deck. Overall basic accommodation at good price in excellent location.

Best Stay We Have Had Over The Years
We stay on the islands two weeks every winter. We've stayed many places and Poipu area is definitely a fav! We found The Blue Hawaiian Condo and it exceeded our expectations! We usually have to restock many items while there, but this Cam had everything and more at our fingertips! We didn't even have to rent boogieboards for the beach! He had them there for our use. It was close to all our favorite beaches, equipped for making our food at our condo as we enjoy doing, and very clean and comfortable. Cam's communication was excellent and we had no problems while staying! We will be back. Cam was thorough and polite and made sure we were happy. We feel blessed to be able to come for another two weeks and stay at his beautiful condo. Plus we made a good friend along the way. Cam is an awesome person. Thankful God brought us to your place to stay. God bless you!

The most bang for your buck!
Cam's place was awesome! It is just as described in the listing. We were able to do laundry right outside our suite's door as needed (at no extra charge). Parking was right outside the front door. The suite and neighborhood were very quiet. The neighborhood was beautiful. Cam was very helpful and responsive to texts. We didn't have to rent flippers or boogie boards since there were many to use, and the location was perfect to get to the beach and pool/hot tub quickly. We plan on staying here again!

Fantastic location and host
We absolutely loved staying here. It was clean and comfortable and roomy. The kitchen had everything we needed too. It was a bonus to have a beach umbrella and chairs and boogie boards that worked so well!! Cameron was helpful as well as friendly. His directions and instructions were very detailed and helpful!! We would stay here over and over!!

Beautiful Kauai in Poipu Kolao
Loved the place. We had access to beach chairs, fins, umbrellas, beach towels, kitchenette was well furnished.The refrigerator had a britta water pitcher--so no need to buy bottled water. We had a cooler to use on outings, a lantern if needed. Cameron our host was friendly. I asked him if I could buy a tabelspoon of butter and he brought me a cube of butter. The bed was comfortable. It's within walking distance to Poipu Beach and Shipwreck beach and Point of Poipu. The home is in a lovely area.

We stayed 2 nights in September and Cam’s place was the best! Very comfortable bed/pillows, awesome layout. It is a shared building but the suite itself felt extremely private. Washer/dryer came in handy and were easy to use. Very close to the beaches and restaurants. Highly recommend for your Poipu stay!

What a nice host!
Cam (the host) was awesome. Great advices, a lot of equipment at our disposal (beach and kitchen gear), we even had the chance to find freshly picked fruits in our unit a few morning! We highly recommend.

Absentee property manager
I hope this is a one time incident, but just want to warn future renters of confirming check in procedures at least 2 days before check in. I failed to do this and by the time I realized this at 8:30pm on the day of check in, property manager was unresponsive to text, phone, or email until next morning, forcing me to book a hotel at the last minute at 10:30 that evening for the next 2 days which was way more than I had wanted to spend. States that he left the door open with a welcome note inside but in my 15 years in booking non-hotel vacation properties I have never had a property just leave a door open and expect you to walk in on check in. He quickly refunded me the money I paid for my stay but felt this was the least he could do after forcing me to book an overpriced hotel for the duration of my stay because I was left abandoned on the night of check in.

Climbers retreat
Check-in instructions were very detailed and easy to follow. All instructions to appliances and television, and how everything worked or very precise and easy to follow. The room was very clean and orderly. The location is excellent easy to get to the beach and restaurants and plenty to do in this area. Many extras were available like washer and dryer chairs for the beach, snorkeling equipment, cooler, lots of goodies and extras. Parking was adequate. Any needed communication with owner was easily accessible and very accommodating..

This condo was older but everything functions as advertised. If you were wanting a brand new condo look elsewhere. Cam the host was very attentive and made sure where has clean linens daily. Easy 10 minute walk to the beach. Everything you need for relaxing on the water chairs, water shoes, you name it. I will definitely y stay here again! I did hesitate when I saw no A/C but it was not needed. Just open the windows and turn on a couple fans!

Comfortable, convenient, and felt at home
We loved staying in the Blue Hawaii suite. It was everything we were looking for: a cozy & comfortable bed, good water pressure and plenty of hot water to shower, a kitchen to make simple breakfasts and lunches, a short walk to the beach via a beautiful path that was well lit at night. And we appreciated the extras: laundry machines (shared with the few other guests) included detergent & even stain removing spray! Extra towels if needed, beach chairs (and other items one might like to borrow for visiting the ocean). We rarely heard the others staying in the large house which was very quiet at night. We have stayed at Bed & Breakfasts in the past and were comfortable with Cam's open front-door policy (the door to our suite had a good lock on it). We didn't spend time at the pool or courts but they looked very nice. There is terrific snorkeling at the beaches nearby (we enjoyed walking but there is parking close to each beach) and we loved seeing the seals and the turtles that crawled ashore to enjoy the sun and sand! Overall we loved our stay in Blue Hawaii!

Turtles!
I very much wanted to see sea turtles on the beach. Two nights in a row, other visitors in the wonderful hot tub (which was nice and hot the first two nights but not as warm the last night- push to keep it set high:)) Two nights in a row, people mentioned they saw turtles on the area beaches, but we hadn’t:(. Finally on the third day, we took our chairs out to the beach and just sat. Sure enough, in about an hour, two sea turtles climbed onto our beach, right in front of our chairs!!! Sweet!!! Great day!!! ❤️

Quiet Poipu Getaway
Cam is a great host. The property is in an excellent location. It was clean, had everything we needed. The kitchen was more functional than the listing led us to believe. We enjoyed eating in the backyard under the Hawaiian sun. Peaceful neighborhood. Easy to walk Brennecke’s and Poipu beaches. We would stay there again.

Ideal for family holiday
This was a great place to stay for our family due to the location, convenient kitchenette and that we could use the sport equipment - snorkel sets, skateboards. Cameron was very responsive to messages before and during our stay and really helped me out with finding a hire car at the last minute when my booking with Hertz fell through.

First visit to Kauai - great location to stay
This was our first visit to this island. The property is a great location, within walking distance to beaches, restaurants, a pool and courts. The weather was cloudier and more rain that we had hoped for (unable to hike places we were planning on), but the property was a comfortable place to come back to. The decor is a little dated (but clean), the room is inside a house that has been split into three living spaces, and the kitchen was limited but sufficient. Host was very hospitable and accommodating - lives in the same dwelling. It wasn't clear before we arrived that a key or code for first enter wasn't needed - walk in the front door and the room was off the hallway, with key to lock our room. It worked for us for a short visit!

The suite has new paint, lots of windows, nice quiet area. It's a pleasant 15min walk to the beach. The kitchen could use some new nonstick pots and pans. It's not 5 star but comfortable. Cam the host was quick to respond.

Hidden Gem in Poipu
Great location and price for Poipu. Visited our daughter who lives on Kauai. Very Close to the Grand Hyatt( Eat at Tidepool restaurant) and Poipu beaches. Plenty of parking at Poipu beach, where you can see seals and sea turtles come ashore and Outdoor bar on the beach at the Hyatt. It’s fantastic. Cam is a gracious host. Plenty of beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and snorkeling gear provided. Room is more than adequate for your stay. We stayed in the Blue Hawaiian room and found everything we needed and perfect for 2 people. No AC but fan kept us comfortable. Definitely take a journey north to Hanalei beach, Limahuli Gardens and Preserve and eat at Tahiti Nui. Resort pool was great w/ hot tub and we had all to ourselves. Plenty of walking trails across the street to beaches and hotels. Great time and can’t wait to come back.

Comfortable, Affordable, and Great Location!
Cameron’s place was perfect for our 8 night stay in Kauai! It’s a great location; just a quick walk from the beach and short drive to many places of interest. We loved staying on the south coast. Cameron was welcoming and helpful in making local restaurant and attraction suggestions. We highly recommend this rental property.

Good location but no a/c
This rental is in a good location close to town in a nice neighborhood but has NO air conditioning. The unit is very cute with nice art and a box of chocolates on arrival but we could not enjoy the unit as we were VERY HOT. There were 2 fans in the unit but we had to keep them on at all times and pointing directly at our heads. I am not typically a person who gets hot easily either. I highly recommend the owner buys a window a/c unit for future business.

Kauai paradise
We are in Kauai for our friends wedding that took place a few minutes away at one of the hotels- this Blue Suite was listed as an alternative option to the hotel rooms blocked for the wedding. VRBO made the process quite easy to book. We were quite exhausted and delirious from our day of travel when we arrived after 10pm and Cam laid everything out in an informative packet taped to the door. Gracious hosts! We hope to come back with more of our friends ❤️ 💕 to book both the Blue & King Kam suites on another adventure 💙

Fantastic! Stay here!
The place was incredible. It is truly nicer than the pictures! Everything about the place great, the location was right next to everything, yet the place it tucked away and quiet. The host had some great extra touches when we arrived, and went out of his way to say hello and greet us. The place was so clean, had such a calm vibe, felt more spacious than the pictures, and the bed was extra comfy as a bonus. You should 100% stay here. I was nervous because it was a cheaper price but it was very high quality, it is just a steal! Also, we had two kids (7 and 9) that fit great on the pull out couch, in case it helps ;).

Great stay in Poipu
My wife and I loved staying on Cameron’s property! We were greeted with Hawaiian music playing in the room and a box of chocolates on the bed, which was a very nice touch. Cameron also stopped by before we checked out to meet us and make sure everything went well. I saw a couple of very negative reviews due to bugs and I wanted to address that - we saw a couple of bugs but it wasn’t bad at all, and it sounds like bugs are a problem no matter where you are on the island, so I think rating the experience based on bugs is a little unfair. We really appreciated the access to the pool and the ability to wash our laundry. We would definitely stay here again due to the great accommodations, location, and communication!

Please note that this property does not have A/C. Yes, Kauai is fairly cool outside in the breeze but this suite stayed too warm to be comfortable. The absolute worst though was the roach infestation. Yes there will be roaches on the island, particularly around the palm trees, but this property has a more substantial pest problem. I found a roach on my toothbrush the morning we left. I’m not sure how old the pictures on the post are, but there was also a lot of duct tape being used to hold different parts of the property together (i.e. window screens, screen door). Security wise, the front door to the house is left open 24 hrs a day with only a flimsy bedroom lock on the suite door. Overall, there’s no way I would stay here again, it’s way too expensive, and it needs pest control.

Good location for a reasonable price, but..
If you get the room we had, it had some issues like bugs crawling around, which did get sprayed before arriving with the fumes still present, sloped floor kitchen that was marginally equipped like a double hot plate, small sink to wash dishes, but a full sized fridge to use. The outside gas bbq was on its last legs by propping one that rusted out with a brick, still tippy, but it still grilled okay. Tv worked good with many options but some streaming videos buffered too much. The pool was offsite by five minutes and was nice with the spa. The location is good with lots of walking paths to beaches and overlooks. If your on a budget and not too picky, this place can work.

We loved our stay here. The location is ideal. Easy walk to the beach, pool and jacuzzi options when the kids are tired of salt water, kitchen. It felt like a beach cabin. We left the windows and a warm wind blew through all day and night. We loved that. The host is fantastic. We can't say enough about this place. I will be recommending this place to anyone I know traveling to Kauai.

Very nice suite in a wonderful location. Poipu Beach was walking distance and could also walk the paths to the pool and Shipwreck Beach. Suite was nicely furnished and so welcoming. Fully stocked in terms of beach items for your use and nice access to washer and dryer in the hall.
