Thank you for your 5 star review. We appreciate all your comments. Yes, we’re in the city, so traffic at certain times of the year can be more of a hustle bustle. There are new city restrictions on vehicle and cycle noise that are strictly being enforced. The Montage resort is across the street from Laguna’s Hidden Gem, that is also on Coast Hwy, the price runs $1000-2,500. per night for single rooms. We also share the same beaches.

Laguna’s Hidden Gem is in a historical single family building, that has recently been totally remodeled. In our description of the penthouse, we always advise our guest to read our reviews. We’re in a very desirable location of Laguna Beach, in the city across from one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California. Most all of our visitors do not have a problem with some traffic noice, as we have double paned windows, and just have installed blackout drapes in the two front rooms. All the rooms, with the exception of the two front rooms of the penthouse and garden are very quiet. If you’re highly sensitive to any kind of noise, you should consider somewhere outside of the city.

Abbas and his family were great guests. Our property has double paned windows and at times it can be a bit noisy in the front two rooms depending on what’s going on in our popular resort village. This is all stated in our description of “The Hidden Gem”. If you read the majority of the reviews, noise has rarely been an issue. I always tell our guest if you’re very sensitive to sounds (noise) this property might not be your first choice. Our garden and most living spaces our very tranquil. We pride ourselves in our five star property. We work hard to make every quest feel special and accommodated.

Shelly and five other women who stayed at the Gem were delightful and were respectful to the property. The two bathrooms and entire property are completely remodeled and the two bathrooms are considered European standard sizes. Laguna’s Hidden Gem is a historic building. The noise from the street can be louder at times, especially if the double paned windows are left open. The multiple new and efficient air conditioning units make opening the front windows unnecessary.

Brenda and her family were delightful! We would welcome them back anytime. We have universal WiFi that is the best in the industry. We have never had a complaint. The road noise in the front of the penthouse can be more noticeable at times if the double paned windows are not closed. The top of the line air-conditioning makes it unnecessary to leave them open. If you are looking for a completely silent zen sanctuary, it is difficult to find in Laguna, when you are close to world class beaches and resorts.
