Vacation
Nice quiet property enjoyed our stay for most part. Was enough space for all of us but if I were to rent again I wouldn't bother with hot tub kids got in once but was quite dirty would think for extra charge would of been clean appears to just need a good cleaning filter was clogged up.Also downstairs bathroom toilet very loose other than that it was a nice get away.

Nice place
Nice place. Needed some plumbing work on the first floor. No water pressure in downstairs sink. toilet not secured to the floor. Drywall needed to be repaired in a few spots. Great view. nice dock. Nice neighborhood. Like all VRBO, watch for all the extra fees.

Hey Jerry, we strive to get 5stars from all our guests. I am assuming the reason for extra fees is due to the hot tub fees, which unfortunately cannot be refunded after the stay as it goes into getting the hot tub ready and cleaning it. There were no "hidden" fees.

Family get away
The only real issue we had was we were told we would have a place at the house to park our pontoon boat trailer, there was no way we could get a trailer to the location park it or turn it around. The bed in the master was a little noisy but everything else was great.

Great Family Time.
The view was beautiful! Trampoline was great for our grandkids. Hot tub was great for us adults. Plenty of room for all of us! Grandkids caught a lot of fish. blue gill, bass and a couple of catfish right by the dock. We Will Rent Again!

Beautiful scenery....beware of ticks!
House is very nice and felt right at home. The yard and flower beds needed some TLC. Grass was ankle deep when we got there, was told lawn service was on a 2 week rotation. Neighbors told us grass gets knee high most times so watch for ticks. The kitchen had everything for cooking. The new hot tub and gas grill very nice. We used them often. Nice neighborhood, very friendly. The houses are rather close to each other tho. Lots of wildlife to watch and enjoy. Only 5 bath towels so if you have a large party you will need to bring some. The house is right next to the woods so once again beware of ticks. Our dog had quite a few and so did I, even after using spray repellent. Kayaks were alot of fun! We did have to carry them down and then back up to the house. The hill is bigger than it looks in the pictures.....lol! All in all nice trip. I am not one who complains but just a heads up on a few things.

Not as expected
Spacious, quiet, beautiful views. We had a good time, however, the house and yard was not up to our expectations and standards on several things. Neighbors house is 5 ft away. May be fine for some, but not for us. Owner was super responsive and communicative.

Paula, there is absolutely nothing we can do to move our neighbors house. If there was a nuisance complaint or any other issues we could have handled.

Great stay!!
What a beautiful little get away for our family of 6! The host communicated quickly, check in was seamless, but other then the shower not working on the lower level the house was quaint and exactly what we were looking for for a short, cheap trip close to home.

Awesome view
Our family went for the week of Thanksgiving. The house is very nice and the big deck is awesome. Wish it would have been warmer. But enjoyed the view nonetheless. Hot tub did not work but owner was upfront and we knew before we booked. The house could use a deep clean but nothing that disrupted our stay. It is like 30 minutes from any shopping. Overall had great time with family…unplugged and away from reality. .

Priceless Lake View and Experience
This was a very memorable experience ❤️ while there were some things that we ran into, the property manager was quick to respond, and they even purchased us some life jackets for our children, so we could go out kayaking with them... Which was priceless!! Pros: LAKE VIEW WAS SPECTACULAR Toys for young children Easy to access dock and Kayaks Roomy and open concept living/kitchen/dining room Tons of spices and condiments Cons: Some items were malfunctioning/broken (hot tub/jacuzzi tub/kitchen sink faucet) Master bed was squeaky (only a problem because my 4 month old had to sleep in bed with us) Strange oder downstairs, just a little musty The split floorplan was difficult for sleeping with young children (ended up sleeping on the couch) Over all, it was a great stay, thank you so much for letting us enjoy your beautiful house on the lake!

Awesome lake house!
My husband and I with our 8 yr old Sheltie had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house. The view of the lake is outstanding! I can't say enough about the owner..had a few questions and he was always so quick to respond. Very helpful and so nice! Hopefully we can come back for a longer stay!

Lakehouse at the end of a lane
Overall a nice property. The inside was extremely clean (except for a couple drawers in the fridge). Only two burners of the gas grill worked and hot tub was not working. The property owner was quick to respond and refunded us the fee for the hot tub, but it was a bummer not having it. Great location at the end of lane so neighbors are only on one side. Also great views of the sandstone rock cliffs across the lake.

2021 Family get together
The house is very nice. Beautiful view. We had an issue with the refrigerator not working and it was replace within 4 hours of my initial call. We were very impressed by how quickly this was taken care of. We all enjoyed the use of the kayaks and lounging on the dock. It was to hot to make a fire but the fire pit would have been a plus if the weather was cooler.

If you want to just relax, fish, and enjoy the lake views…this is the place for you!
Our family met here for a Father’s Day getaway…we loved it and will rent again..service was great..the neighbors were nice…the fishing was fun…and just sitting on the patio was very relaxing!!

Beautiful place with a great view!
The property was very well maintained and clean. Similarly, the pantry was well stocked with spices, which we did not anticipate. The view of the lake (Whiskey Bay) was incredible and there were 2 kayaks out back in great condition, although we brought our own. While you can enjoy your stay thoroughly by never leaving the property, the kayaking was incredible with high bluffs and beautiful scenery. On our first morning there we looked off the back deck and bald eagle was sitting in the tree between the house and the bay. Hard to beat - especially for the price. We will definitely visit again when we get the chance and I would highly recommend this property to anyone as it truly is a beautiful place with a great view!

Lake malone is great. We loved the view from the patio. We put the kayaks to use and made it out to the rock walls. Very quiet. Everything we needed was available in the house.

Lake Getaway

Awesome, relaxing stay
This place is awesome. The pictures don't do it justice. The view from the upper deck is so nice. We love relaxing in the morning with our coffee listening to all the different birds and watching the cranes fly over the lake. We had humming birds flying around the outside of the deck throughout the day. Then later in the afternoon we would go downstairs to the hot tub with an ice cold beverage and watch the boats go by. We had to contact the owner a couple of times for minor things and he replied very quickly. I can't say enough good things about our stay.!!!

Fun with family
My husband and I, and our daughter and her boyfriend arrived for the long holiday weekend ready to relax in and next to the lake. I brought lots of extra things based on previous reviews: paper products, kitchen items, cleaning supplies, etc., and did not need any of them as the house was well stocked. We enjoyed the kayaks, playing in the water, sitting on the dock, using the hot tub, and eating on the covered deck. Figuring out the light switches was our comic relief for the weekend. And by the time we left for home, our daughter's boyfriend was her fiance!

Late Summer Vacation
Stayed here for 5 days for the last vacation before the kids start school. The place was beautiful! The house was nicely decorated and the lake view is awesome. The owner let us use the kayaks and tubes, the kids had a blast! Would highly recommend it and will definitely rent again!

Quite getaway!
Our interaction with the owner was great, from check in to wrapping up our stay. We loved mornings in the patio and paddling around in kayaks. The remote location is serene and relaxing. The only improvement could be a ladder off the dock for use when swimming.

Amazing location on the lake
Location on the lake was perfect!! This property was the very last house on the street which made it more secluded than a lot of the other lakefront properties. View of the lake from the home was absolutely perfect. We loved that we didn’t have to walk far to get from the house to the dock. Kids absolutely enjoyed the shallow access into the lake to go swimming next to the dock. We caught many fish just from the dock which was great for my husband. The available kayaks that came with the property was one of the reasons we booked this home. We really enjoyed exploring the lake via the kayaks. Unfortunately one of the kayaks had shattered glass from a broken bottle inside it which was a huge safety concern, so we just pushed that one aside and used the 2 blue kayaks which were perfect. Unfortunately compared to other homes we’ve rented in the past, this property really needs a good deep cleaning as well as parts of the home needing some maintenance fixes...however these issues didn’t effect our stay. We were more disappointed when we expected to have propane for the grill which ran out in the middle of cooking one meal which was extremely frustrating; The fire wood that was considered available wasn’t split, so trying to make a fire in the fire pit was very difficult as well. We even looked for an axe to split it, but couldn’t find one (that might be something for the owner to consider having available in the garage). I will say the house has a beautiful set- up and the master bed was super comfy. I slept amazing! The shower had good water pressure, but just as a heads up, the location of the non-moveable shower head can easily soak the floor if the curtain isn’t pulled right. My favorite thing to do was enjoy coffee on the balcony in the morning. The hot tub was also amazing!! As a heads up for those renting, you will need to bring additional toilet paper and paper towels and know that the nearest grocery store is about 20+ minutes away. There also isn’t any restaurant choices nearby if you want to eat out. We did come across the Buggy Shack which was a small restaurant that was pretty good about 20+ miles away. The marina was extremely tiny and didn’t offer much. No rentals and extremely limited supplies for those interested. I definitely would consider staying here again in the future. It is a beautiful Lakehouse!!

Great family mini-vacation

Perfect getaway for our family
Very spacious and updated home with views from nearly every room. It was mostly clean but found a couple of pans that weren't close to clean. Hot tub worked wonderfully. It was nice having so many options of things to do, with the fire pit, trampoline, hot tub, dock, and lake, to name a few. I do recommend that the owner purchase a few kitchen items like new skillets. The only 2 I could find were small and badly warped. Also, some knives. We could barely find any cutting knives. The owner, Michael, was very friendly and prompt with answering questions about the property and area. We will definitely rent this property again! We had a wonderful weekend!

A wonderful stay! From S’mores on the campfire to fishing with my kids, everything was peaceful and relaxing. Owner responded to any questions we had very promptly. View is breathtaking. So glad we chose this property for our getaway.
