Overall a good stay
We had a good stay, the room was clean. Unfortunately our atay was during the covid- 19 lickdown so we had no access to the pool, gym or restutant so I can really just comment on the room and service. Service was really good have nothing bad at all to say about the employees at the hotel. Room was good and clean.

Don’t be fooled by pretty pics
Good location. Close to bus stops, tram stops and East Croydon station. There are lots of food places and convenient stores around. But the hotel itself is very worn down and smelled little like cigarette smoke.

Nära till tåget från flygplatsen, många butiker i närheten, många restauranger i närheten. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal.

Mysigt hotell med bra läge
Fullt dugligt hotell för rimlig peng. Läget är jättebra om man inte ha nåt emot en halvtimmes tågresa in till centrala London. Detta funkar emellertid riktigt bra med avgångar till antingen Victoria Station alt. London Bridge. Croydon i sig är mysigt och det finns ändå en hel del shopping i och med Whitgift mittemot hotellet. Det serveras inte frukost men man får en kupong till Jury's Inn över gatan - god och rejäl frukost för £7. Supertrevlig och hjälpsam personal även om vissa (ironiskt nog) hade lite problem med engelskan. Rummet var rent och mysigt om än lite lyhört när baren längst ner öste på med musik eller grannarna vävnader för mycket i korridoren.

Medioker hotel but a Great Gym
Vi utnyttjade gymmet och det var väldigt positivt för ett annars rätt povert hotel. Rummet var rent men störd av mögellukten. Positivt var närheten till ett köpcentrum samt gångavstånd på ca 5min till tågstation med täta avgångstider till Victoria stn. Reser man via Gatwick är läget perfekt. Kan definitivt tänka mig att bor där igen. Prisvärt.

Hotell i förorten nära pendeltåg
Jag tyckte hotellet var ok men bilderna på webben visar verkligen den bästa hotellet har så lite snopen blev jag när sängarna visade sig vara 2st 70cm sängar. Detta hotell funkar för att bara sova vilket vi för det mesta gjorde. Det enda jag bliv lite irriterade på vara att det tog två dagar att få avloppet i duschen fixat och att vatten trycket knappt räckte att duscha i. Hade detta varit bättre hade jag nog varit lite mera generös med betyget.

good access to public transportation
The room faced a hotel on the opposite side of the street, possibly uncomfortable if you want to open the curtains. The gym/pool were OK, but a bit busy because it's a local gym with it's own clients going in all the time. Nice tea service in the room, comfortable bed. Hotel location is very close to East and West Croydon stations.

Lyxigt budgethotell
Om du vill bo billigt men ändå ha nära in till London rekomenderar jag detta hotell. Tågstationen ligger nån minut från hotellet och de går ofta till Victoria Station eller London Bridge. Resan tar ca 15 min och OysterCard gäller. På hotellet kan man börja dagen med en simtur i bassängen. Hotellet ger rabatt på en härlig frukostbuffé på hotellet mittemot, kostar då ca sju pund/pers. Man håller länge på den då man ska göra London. Hotellet är inte så märkvärdigt annars men funkar perfekt som övernattning till lågt pris.

Hotellet ligger nära tågstation enkelt att ta sig till London inom 20 minuter finns ett shoppingcenter rakt över gatan. Vi hade ett dubbelrum, ganska litet men helt okej då vi ändå bara sov där :) små sängar så vi låg en i sängen & en på golvet men var riktigt mjuk matta så var ingen fara! Det var lika hårt som i sängen ! Duschen funkade inte utan det var bara Tappen till badkaret som funka. Inga snabbduschar utan bad var de som gällde! Annars perfekt trevlig personal & Inga andra konstigheter!

Enkelt hotell utan frukost. Pyttelitet, men rent rum. vitkaklat badrum med badkar (duschen funkade dock inte). Vattenkokare + te/kaffe/choklad på rummet. Vänlig städerska. Det fanns ett spa med 12 m bassäng som man kunde få använda gratis, men vi kände inte till detta före vistelsen och hade inte med badkläder.

Horrendous experience
This was the worst experience of a hotel booking it is possible to imagine. When I arrived at the hotel it was in a disgraceful state with rubbish everywhere. It soon became clear that this was no longer a hotel but a shelter for the homeless. The only person available to speak to was a security guard who gave me the number of the owners, who are based in India. They didn't even know that they owned the hotel, far less whether it was open or not. I had to book into another hotel, obviously. Getting a refund was almost impossible and this website was completely useless. They have no presence in the UK and communication is through very poor call centres. I asked for compensation for the inconvenience and expense I had suffered but was offered nothing. If you are a traveller in difficulty this website will offer you nothing and I will never run the (high) risk of using it again.

Noise is unbearable....
Would never return to this hotel or recommend it. he hotel had a horrible smell in the reception area and then also very unpleasant 'air freshener' smells outside the rooms. worst of all was the 'generator' noise coming from ouside. It was deafening. There was a party/function which went on until around 3 am which again mad eit impossible to get any sleep. The rooms were very shabby and dirty. All in all the worst hotel experience I h ave ever had. Do not let the tranquil image of the pool persuade you that the Lansdowne is in any way relaxing or tranquil!!

Well located in Croydon, very central which is excellent. Price was pretty good, for some reason was cheaper to book on the day than 3 months ahead?? Bed is surprisingly comfortable.

Hotel not as advertised they do not have iPod docking stations in the room but other then that the facilities they offer like pool stem room sauna and gym are fantastic they also offer a discounted breakfast voucher for the hotel opposite.

A disgrace
The level of disappointment I feel having stayed at this hotel is indescribable. I’ve been in hostels with more comfortable meds, I’ve stayed in prisons that were quieter, I’ve been inside pubs with better clientele. That you call this place a hotel, is an affront to the industry. The bed has ensured I must seek medical attention on my back. Now we will go and get my money back. DON’T COME HERE! unless you’re a spotty teenager who wants to get high, or a little sket who wants to get gang banged, then this hotel is the one for you.

My new place of choice when I'm working in Croydon
Comfortable, modern, easy hotel right in Croydon. Parking is off-site at the multi-storey, which is VERY safe (hotel stay gets you 25% discount, so £12 for overnight instead of £16).

At first, I was skeptical about the room because no air conditioning. The staff told me that I could open the window when I slept at night. I was unsure about the safety. Then the staff offered me a fan. I got an idea to put the fan to the chair and moved close to my bed. I had no problems not complaining at all. My room is clean and comfort. I stayed there for two weeks and it was fantastic. I wish I could have two keys: one for me and one for my best friend. I am Deaf and couldn't hear anyone knocking the door. Other than that, it was a pleasure staying there.

Avoid if you can
To start with i have booked the hotel for its facilities (i.e. swimming pool) as it was my intention to have my son swimming after his tennis tournament in Sutton. I was very disappointed to be told by the swimming pool staff that the facility can be used by children only on weekends and not any day. This is not on the hotel's web site and nor the hotel receptionists knew about this. I staid in room 304 and the bathroom was very old with the hand wash basin drain missing pieces of the drain strainer and with sharp rusted edges. The bath tub also had the enamel chipped in multiple places and exposing sharp edges. The room cleaning services didn't clean the room until I had to mention to the reception. On other hand who had the stupid idea of placing the headboard right under the window giving an uncomfortable sleep with cold air coming down right up your head. And if you sleep with your head at the other end you will have cold feet unless you put your socks on. But better said, in one word - AVOID ! It's a shame as the receptionists are friendly and trying to do their job, but the establishment doesn't help.

We chose this place as it had a pool and hot tub. When we arrived the pool ceiling was in need of repairs and the hit tub wasn't working. The room was standard. The bed comfortable. The staff very friendly.
