Quiet and ok room but no breakfast
You check in via the pub, this info could have been given beforehand. We were informed that breakfast was served 08-09.30am in the pub. The following day we come down and were hardly greeted. On the counter there was some nutella and jampackages, an oatbar, two yoghurts and a box of apple juice and that is it. We were confused and asked for the bread, got the answer it will be deliverwd at noon. Ok. So how do we eat the yoghurt? Some plastic spoons were laying in a plastic bag on a table. We asked for tea and got a glass each with semihot water. We had booked a hotel with breakfast specifically and it said they would serve continental. We never went back although we wished we took a picture of it, cos it was so tragic. And the guy working there didn't apologise for it, it was just not welcoming at all. The room was ok, very comfy bed although very small for a double. Some broken things could easily be fixed for a more proper look. Supernarrow stairs up to the rooms so not for anyone with disabilities. Location was good and very quiet. Close to both Marble arch and Edgware road stations. If you don't want a proper breakfast but an ok room and peace an quiet at night this is good.

Service and housekeeping needs improvements
Nice central location but the cleanliness could be better. Tea cattle was full of scale so when I poured the tea with clumps came out. At breakfast time no staff was present so couldn’t eat any breakfast even though it was booked. My overall expectations was a bit higher with this visit compared to previous visits at other hotels.

Det var missar i städningen, som visserligen rättades till men som störde. Hade en continental frukost som var i minsta laget. Ligger dock mycket centralt med fem minuters promenad till Oxford Street och Hyde Park. Många restauranger med mat från Mellanöstern i grannskapet.

Med kompis och turistar i London
Väldigt bra läge. Gångavstånd till många sevärdheter och köpgator. Gulligt, väldigt brittiskt ställe med rummen ovanför puben. Inte så bra om man är dammallergisk. Heltäckningsmattorna är nog i flera lager och har nog aldrig sett någon rengöringsmaskin. Rummen är funktionella, badrummet nyrenoverat och snyggt, frukosten helt ok.

Great room above a pub
Nice and comfortable room above a pub ( you check in at the bar). Spacious compared to your average London hotel room. Nice new bathroom. Walking distance to Oxford street and Hyde park. Would stay again.

Mycket nöjda
Trevligt hotell med trevlig personal. Rummet var mysigt med bäkväma sängar och fräsch toalett. Ligger centralt i ett lite lugnare område. Vi var mycket nöjda med det här hotellet

Semester i januari
Det här var ett hotell helt i min och min vuxna dotters smak. Litet, mysigt och fräscht! Att bo ovanför en pub var en ny och angenäm upplevelse. Rummen var nyrenoverade och mycket fräscha och med Englands mått är det hög kvalitet. Dock var rummet lite kallt, men med AC på hög temperatur blev även det bra! Frukosten kanske lite väl spartansk, men det dög - fika och äter gör man ju ändå. Läget perfekt om man som vi gillar närheten till Hyde Park och Oxford Street ca 10 minuters promenad. Även närhet till buss och tunnelbana om man hellre tar sig fram på det sättet. Vi älskar London och åker ofta dit och det här hotellet kan få besök av oss fler gånger.

Kallt på rummet
Vi bodde i ett dubbelrum en våning upp. Rummet var ganska stort. Litet badrum men helt ok. Tog lite tid innan någon kom och öppnade nere vid ytterdörren. Ingången låg runt hörnan från adressen så vi hittade den inte med en gång då vi inte visste stt det var på puben The Duke if York vi skulle bo. Hotellet är ovanpå puben och man skrev in sig inne på puben. Det var jättekallt på rummet och värmen som fanns var en klimatanläggning på väggen uppe vid taket, typ som en AC. Värmen går ju uppåt så det blev aldrig riktigt varmt i rummet och väldigt kallt i sänghöjd och på golvet. Toan hade ingen värme alls. Såg dagen efter att det var en glipa vid fönstret som väl bidrog till kylan. Det var ca 7 grader ute under resan i mitten av december. Låg med långkalsonger o lång tröja när jag sov. Frukosten åt man i puben. Inte jättemycket att välja på men helt ok för en som inte äter så mycket till frukost. Skulle kunna tänka mig att bo här igen under en varmare del av året men ej under vintern. Tar drygt 10 min att gå till Marble arch. Låg en Tesco ganska nära.

Enkelt men bra weekendhotel.
Litet men helt ok rum. Fräsch dusch och wc. Inget för den som inte klarar trappor. Nära till buss och tunnelbana. Lungt område.

Fantastisk service, fräscht rum, tyst. Perfekt med en pub att smita in i. Läget är mycket bra, med Paddington helt nära, liksom Marble Arch.

Fint rum, tveksam service
Rummet var riktigt fint, kändes fräscht och badrummet var i toppskick. Hade rum mot gatan men upplevde inget som helst oljud, så har absolut inget att klaga på när det kommer till hotellet i sig. Servicen var däremot tveksam, jag stannade tre nätter och mitt rum städades bara 1 gång, trots att det stod daglig städning, och det var hela tiden säckar med tvätt i trapporna, ibland så att man knappt kom förbi. När jag checkade in var receptionisten tvungen att ringa på hjälp vid två tillfällen, och började servera bargäster mitt i incheckningen. Efter att jag fått min rumsnyckel gick receptionisten återigen till baren utan att ge information om frukost, wi-fi eller ens vilket rumsnummer jag hade. Så inte så nöjd med servicen.

Tillbringade 3 nätter på hotellet och vi var väldigt nöjda med allting. Hotellets personal var hjälpsamma, trevliga och serviceinriktade. Rena och fräscha rum och sköna sängar. Hotellets läge var väldigt bra med gångavstånd till Oxford Street. God mat till bra priser på hotellets pub. Som sagt jättenöjd och kan tänka mig att bo där igen nästa gång jag reser till London.

Charmigt fräscht hotell i bra läge!
Perfekt läge med gångavstånd från Paddington och till Oxford street. Mycket serviceinriktad, hjälpsam och trevlig personal, så omhändertagande. Trevliga rum med helt nyrenoverade badrum i toppklass! Charmigt att bo ovanpå en pub, där också frukosten serverades. Lugnt och tryggt område. Rekommenderar verkligen The Duke Rooms. Kommer bo här igen!

Superb stay at Duke Rooms! Personal experience with excellent staff. They took care of everything we asked for. Helpfull, service-minded and great guy at breakfast. Rooms were clean with comfortable beds. Close to buses and tube. Would definately stay at the Dukes again!

Fantastic little hotel!!
We had the best stay! This little hotel is a pearl! The room was fresh and stylish and the bed was very comfortable The bathroom with a shower was awsome! The hotel staff was nice and made our stay even better! We will definitly stay here next time!

Bedroom very clean bathroom and shower great but had to squeeze past laundry and bags on the stairs. Staff very pleasant but we booked room for 3 no bedding or towels for 3rd person but tbh manager sorted this out but again on 2nd day no towels left for 3rd person i had to open fresh laundry bag lying on stairs to get these .

Cool place to stay, it’s over the Duke of York pub! Older building beautifully refurnished. The rainfall shower stall was awesome. Bhargav is an excellent host and super helpful. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a great crash pad in an excellent location to see London. The staff is friendly and helpful and the hotel offers a great place to get some sleep and freshen up. No thrills but the friendly staff and hot shower is exactly what we wanted when booking.

The gentleman that checked us in was outstanding. The tube was just a short distance away, the public transportation is so easy to use. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the food served downstairs was wonderful.

Nice room but !
The room was very good and adequate for our needs, however, the entrance lobby and stairs was in desperate need of revamping. The bar was not going to be opened until February and the door had been damaged and not repaired. We went out for breakfast. The man who checked us in was very friendly.
